Prime storefront on the Square for many years, with some remodeling done now and again, and is a great place for breakfast or lunch. The menu is enormous, but includes good NW Indiana favorites like biscuits and gravy, pork tenderloin and others. Problem is that if you are seated in the front area but not at a booth, it’s a bit claustrophobic. Also lots of racket from the kitchen; the one time I was there, the apparently-Hispanic cook was in a temper and anyone who knows colloquial Spanish got a trip to the gutter as he raged at our server. I apologized to her for sending part of our order back, but cook prepared it 10 minutes in advance. Of the other entrée, then left it on the pass to «die». The server was very apologetic but by now one plate was hot and the other cold. We returned the cold plate to the kitchen and the swill of Spanish obscenities began toward the server until I spoke up — it’s a small area — and said I had sent the food back. Crowding and an obnoxious cook aside, I will go back for good food at fair prices. Just take earplugs if you understand gutter Spanish.

We went there for breakfast today and arrived at 11:40. It took about 10 minutes for the server to get us our drinks and take our order and over an hour for our food to arrive. The eggs were cold and undercooked. We were just glad to get them after the long wait and get out of there. I used to like this restaurant but the last few times I’ve been there the service has just been horrible.

It’s just okay, doesn’t have me raving but gets me full. Service can be hit or miss depending on who you get. Breakfast is why I go here, prices are decent, good amounts of food, like most places like this, don’t go too complicated or you probably won’t be happy with what you ordered. Stick to burgers, omelettes and soup.

I LOVE lemon rice soup! Love that they have it every day I come in. The food is good. It’s like every other diner around. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Too be honest, the only reason I go is for the lemon rice soup.

Your run of the mill Greek owned family restaurant. Nothing wrong with that. Just a nice place to come with family on the weekends or for lunch during the week. Food is good!

Delicious lemon rice soup!!! Right on the square and in a perfect location! Their grilled chicken salad is amazing… especially with their Russian dressing!

It’s basically just a crappy diner. I happen to like crappy diner food, and their food was relatively quick and mostly very tasty. Coffee was good. Potato skins were good. Ham and cheese was good. French dip was bland and dry and not something I would get again. Staff was nice and attentive.

Stopped here on a whim for a late lunch as the places I wanted to try and get into were either really crowded(for Mother’s Day) or getting ready to close(it was around 3pm). Food wasn’t bad(omlette with ham, mushroom, and swiss cheese along with American Fries and English Muffin) and the service was a tad slow but I didn’t mind. All the staff there were friendly and helpful… and of course the bottomless cup of coffee hit the spot too. The price wasn’t bad neither… under $ 10 for the whole thing… major points in my book. Definitely would recommend this place if you are looking for nothing special but a good meal.

Excellent local owned/operated restaurant! Staff is fantastic, always a smile and polite. Fast and efficient even when overwhelmed with customers. We always ask for Becky, she is on top of her game!

Greek family owned coffee shop serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Located right in front of the courthouse on the downtown square. Been around for decades. Nothing fancy simply a good meal at fair prices.

I’ve eaten here a couple of times, it’s okay when you’re starving and just want something to eat. Nothing fancy about it, the location is nice, right on the square.
