Outstanding food, terrific wine, amazing after-​dinner drinks, and great company all around. Our gracious hosts kept the wine and conversation flowing. All this and the perfect location, too — stylish, modern, and incredibly comfortable (with indoor/​outdoor dining and an expansive view of Lake Tahoe).The only bad news is that this experience is as exclusive as it gets — it’s by invitation only. This «by invitation only» fine dining experience is par excellence! Nestled into a hillside in a lovely and private area overlooking the «lake» one has all the comforts of home (community style dining) while enjoying an evening of extraordinary food and drinks prepared by the ever humble and generous proprietors themselves. Chez R. and Chez P. personally curate delicious wine pairings with their entrees and offer a very generous pour with each and every crystal filled glass. To no surprise, as the wine is poured conversation becomes lively around the table with every guest having their day in the sun or quietly enjoying the intelligence and good humor of their fellow dining companions.
Also, it must be noted that the pork tenderloin served the evening we dined was smoked to perfection and topped with fresh basil pesto which literally melted in our mouths. After dinner drinks were curated by Chez R. from the rarest and finest liquors researched and acquired from countries throughout the world. Everyone in our party enjoyed rare whiskey except a lovely woman who preferred an aged Scotch.
For dessert we were served a beautiful pear infused cake which tasted as if it was prepared by angels. A must have!
