I have eaten here many times. The place doesn’t look like much but the food and the service is world class. I had a pork sandwich and fries with a beer. I would highly recommend the Island Outpost

The Island Outpost is a gem. From a jug of milk and some fishing tackle to a cold beer and a great meal. The Outpost has you covered. Locally owned by hardworking friendly people. Great place to go if you are looking for a scenic motorcycle ride. Definitely stop by if you are in the area.

Most of the food is fried in some way. The clam chowder tasted a bit like Campbell’s canned soup. But we didn’t go for the food. We went for the dollar beer. But we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and the many characters sitting around the bar. Overall it’s a great place if you’ve been out in the sun all day and you want to just sit and drink cheap beer.

I’ve been here for breakfast twice, and the food is good; freshly prepared with care. I often order my eggs over medium to insure that the whites are set, and I usually have to send them back, as so many line cooks don’t get it and fry them over easy. The owner here knows how to cook eggs, and I appreciate that. I can’t comment on lunch or dinner, as I haven’t tried either, but I understand they have live music some nights. This is a laid back place with lots of island regulars hanging out, taking advantage of the free internet access and catching up on the latest news. Help yourself to a cup of coffee, grab a seat and enjoy the company of some really nice people.

Island Outpost has great food and wonderful service! The staff are welcoming and hospitable and the food is delicious whether you’re staying for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Friday night’s they have karaōke and Saturday’s are open mic nights. Definitely try the BBQ sandwich and the Island Outpost $ 1 brew! :)
