This establishment is very generous with food portions. But, sadly, the food was a little plain for being Mexican.

I love El Loro. Our family has been coming here for more than a decade. In fact, we go here enough that the servers usually remember what we order. The service is always great and the food always delicious. :)

Love this Mexican spot! The fajita portion sizes are big enough for two to share just order extra tortillas. The queso fundito is cheesy greatness. Margaritas are hit and miss tho. But with 2for1 during happy hour it’s all good.

The service here is absolutely horrible. Won’t be coming back to this restaurant. Seemed very unorganized and we never got our tab or refills on any drinks.

My go to non-traditional Mexican restaurant. Spend the extra money and order the La Paradilla, it’s an insane heaping of meats and veggies served with tortillas, toppings, rice beans and a quesadilla. Some of the best pork you’ll ever eat.

I’ve never had a meal I haven’t liked at El Loro. And if your in the mood for a big margarita this is a great stop.

Went to celebrate a birthday! Our food came out quick but the taste of it wasn’t so great. My mom’s dish was shrimp, steak, and chicken. The chicken tasted fake, the steak was dry and very under season and there were only 3 shrimps in the dish. It was a $ 15 dollar dish. The enchiladas dish tasted bleh! Just ground beef put into a tortilla and with tomatos dropped on top. The place wasn’t tasty at all. Won’t be coming back ever!

We have been regulars for 7 years! The food has always been speedy and delicious! I believe there are under new management/ownership recently and pricing has increased on most items, especially the numbered entrees. It will still be our favorite mexican place!

I just had lunch here today. The food was bland but the okay. I asked for our checks and went to the restroom before I left. As I was in the Bathroom, a two stall women’s rest room, A MALEWAITERWASPEAKINGHISHEADINTHEBATHROOM!!! I was in the first stall and did a double take! He saw me, we made eye contact, and he shut the door! I washed my hands, collected my wit and left the restroom. No one was around. I passed the front host station and I stopped and told the person standing there, who was also our waiter for the second half of our meal. I politely told him that I was in the restroom and a male had his head in the door while I was in the there. The guy just nodded like it was an every day occurrence. My reaction was to ask«Was it you» to his casual response and he just shrugged and said he would go check! WHATTHEEVERLIVINGGOBSTOPPER just happened! I’m disgusted and trying to process this.

Worst service ever. It started when we were seated at a booth that was obviously too small for our party of six. The waiter messed up both of our kids’ orders and failed to make it right despite two requests to please bring out what my daughter actually ordered. And when I asked for a refill of my water, the waiter basically told me to take my friend’s water.

I’ve been here 3 times and every time has been great. The food is good, the wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable and my water glass stayed full the entire time(I drink a lot of water!). Each plate has large portions that could easily be shared between 2 people. The food is excellently seasoned and comes out fresh, hot and prompt. They have a lot of options for vegetarians, pescatarians, and carnivores alike. They also have a DELICIOUS homemade ranchero sauce which makes store bought ranch dressing seem pathetic, sad and disgusting. The one time there was a small mistake they immediately apologized and brought me a brand new plate of food super quickly(I almost felt bad the guy looked so apologetic). We had the quesadilla, enchiladas(OMG!!! YUM!!!), chile rellanos, and a taco, and a chalupa today which were all great. There are also some dishes that come served in hot hot hot cast iron bowls still sizzling. Try it you won’t be disappointed! Did I mention the fresh chips that were still warm when they came out with salsa and ranch? Omnomnomnom

These guys are ballers! The staff was on top of it and the chips and salsa flowed like water. Prices are affordable and the fajitas and nachos made me a believer. Best Mexican joint we’ve found in the cities so far. This place makes me want to do the cha cha. Left ‘em a serious tip for the Comida Bueno.

I have been to many El Loro locations but this place has tarnished this chain forever. I walked in with my children Friday May 15th. I was seated with a cold greeting and arrived at my booth only to wait 15 mins before I confronted Cheyenna and asked if someone could please serve us. She snootily replied«yeah what do you want» I was so taken back by her response I requested to speak with management. She once again replied In a condescending tone«yeah» The conversation became less than pleasant when I decided to leave the restaurant with my children and she mockingly slouched down to their height and waved goodbye. I have been trying to teach management since this incident and have left messages and still have received no reply.

We got there at 5 pm and it was not busy at all. We asked to sit on the other side were we always sit the waitress took 15 minutes to take our drink order, the food was not good at all and it took them way too long to bring a box for our food and the bill. I live in crystal and have been there before but that service ended my visits there.

Walked in and it was crickets! Hey… That’s awesome. I love my space. They sat us down and we got our drinks within 7 minutes. Giant beer please! Chips were hot, they bring salsa and cheese. Chips are lacking salt almost entirely but the fact that they were warm totally made up for that. I ordered chile rellenos, and a burrito, with a side of rice and beans. Huge portions… I couldn’t finish it all. Id be FATASFUCK if I did! Darin ordered chicken tacos, Madison ordered the kids taco and rice and beans, and Diana(always the odd one out) had chicken fingers and fries! Everything was good! I’m not complaining about anything other than the fact we had to wait for refills. I give it 4 stars because Diana’s «chicken fingers» we’re probably chopped up chicken patties from the bag! I’d go again.

Very disappointed in this place! The moment we walked in there was no warm greetings, the waiter was on his phone, The food was super salty. If I could I would give them no star!

The thing that gets me about el loro isn’t their generic, mediocre American Mexican food, but that they claim it is «authentic.» The service was good and the waitstaff friendly, but if you are looking for real Mexican food, you’ll be disappointed.

Fantastic place for the $! You can’t go wrong with this place! You’re always greeted by friendly staff and as soon as they find you a seat you get your chips and salsa — no waiting or whatsoever! You order something from the menu boom it’s on your table just like that within minutes. Tasty food outstanding staff! One of my favorite restaurants in town!

Filthy. Rude service. Unappealing, microwaved food. The empty lot should’ve been my clue.

My how this place has gone down hill. Used to be the go to Mexican place around my house, but, over the years for some reason it’s gone from the«go to» to an after thought. This weekened, I decided to see if it was as good as it used to be or as bad as it had gotten. Sorry to say, as bad as it got. Was seated in the corner of the bar area. Literally, nobody there except for a couple drunk chicks at the bar for happy hour(it was 4pm), and NOBODY dining in, and we’re seated in a corner booth that requires one person to enter it at a time to sit down. Regardless, we get the complimentary chips and salsa, and that is good. Order the Mozz sticks hoping they’d gone back to the original way they used to do it which was house made sticks… nope. Generic, horrible frozen ones. And they’re served with a ranch packet. Yup, a god damn packet of Kraft ranch dressing. Not the house ranch sauce you get with your chips or even a marinara/salsa mix. A packet of dressing. Some how my girlfriend gets a refill during this, while we both have empty glasses sitting there, yet my water goes unfilled for the entire course of the meals. After a nearly 15 minute wait between putting in the app order and the return of the server, we finally order. Meanwhile, the chips and apps are completely gone by now. I get the burrito deluxe and she ordered some combo platter with a little of everything. Food took about 20 minutes to come out in a dead restaurant. How? I don’t know. How do I know it was 20 minutes? Running time on the soccer match blaring throughout the bar with the aforementioned drunk chicks yelling at the tv(which made me at least laugh considering nothing happened, not even a shot on goal). Food was meh. Rice was cold, and the food was pretty tasteless. Lucky I didn’t eat all the salsa and ranch from about an hour ago to put on my burritos. The girlfriend’s food was ok. Taco was the best part while the tostada and enchilada were mehs. Glad I didn’t need anything. I would have hated to have bothered my server with her job. Lucky enough, I didn’t see her once through the meal to have to burden her with the request for more water or salsa or guac or anything. Was delivered the bill rather quickly without being asked about dessert, and of course not told to go to the front to pay(lucky I remembered or we’d still be waiting there trying to figure out where to pay). All in all, totally regret even giving this place a try and was so disappointed I had to apologize for actually subjecting my girlfriend to this shithole. Save your money, go to Chipotle across the street or go find another Mexican place. Let this place die and hopefully a new one can open up or open up under management that can run it correctly.
