My wife was in the mood for beer and wings, so naturally I thought we should put the place that says«Great Wings!» right on their sign to the test. At this establishment the wing and the drumstick are still connected and that puppy only counts as one wing per Steve’s fantastic math, gotta love that. We got 12 Wings(which is 24 real life), ate until we couldn’t move and still had 3 to bring home. They didn’t fill us in on the while enchanted math thing so we were a little surprised when we received that mountain of meat, but talk about first world problems right?! The buffalo wings were a little wimpy in the spice dept and the house Wings were definitely unique and delicious despite having cinnamon in the seasoning somewhere, weird right? You couldnt really taste it, but the aroma was there. Our service was just aight, we played a few games of pool. Good mixed crowd, I’d definitely recommend for a casual night out that’s pretty reasonable on the wallet!

Cool place with amazing service. Most would drive by but I recommend the stop. Blue collar customers, clean and social environment.

Gotta love the atmosphere here! Where else can you find a stone fireplace and an Adams Family pinball machine. The wings are great and it seems everyone always likes the food in our family. Last visit I got the«Crystal Burger», I’d definitely recommend it if you like a pretzel bun. It always feels like l’m at a bar up north in lake country in the 80’s.

There are not much words I have to describe this place. There are no windows at all, it has a very weird parking lot and if you are not a local, be prepared to get stared at! Some of the locals were a little buzzed and it wasn’t barely 11 am. We came for breakfast on a whime. Had some Bloody Mary’s to start, they were ok. My boyfriend said they were premix, either way they were definitely not worth the $ 5.25 they cost at a dive bar that only came with 1 pickle and 1 olive. Our breakfast was actually really delicious! I was very impressed, the portions were huge, hot, and very flavorful. My boyfriend had the build your own omelet and it covered it have of his plate and the other half was hash browns. I had biscuits and gravy, it came with a sausage patty in between the biscuit with is kind of a neat twist! I would come back here for breakfast again but probably not lunch as that menu mostly consisted of burgers.

Its a little rough around the edges but the owner has spruced it up with a new menu and a good selection of craft beers. Some of the best wings around and always sins good people watching at this local spot. Lots of blue collar regulars but always a good time.

A true classic bar! A new menu with a wide variety of food and a larger bar for seating are the newest improvements. The regulars are awesome and you can’t help but feel welcomed. If classic is what you are looking for, this is it!

Now this is a bar!!! That’s exactly what I said the second we walked in. It looked right(personally I loved the pine everywhere motif), it smelled right, and darnit if it didn’t just plain feel right. After a tragic moment elsewhere(cough cough sunshine factory) my counterparts and I continued our Sunday Funday here. It was a blast. Belly up to the bar, order a beer, plya the jukebox, and proceed to punish my liver(it’s been a bad, bad, boy). We heard the wing were great but were persuaded by one of our compatriots to try the boneless version. Can you say YUMMY??? Plus they had my staple that every dive bar must have… beef jerkey!!! Great BAR atmosphere, great employees, great people watching… especially if you were watching us!!!

I have no idea why anyone would come here for food… or even beer. No selection and gross. That said… The first time I went in here I exclaimed, «This place reminds me of home!» (I know several people who would roll their eyes and possibly disown me for that comment, but I’m from North Dakota – leave me alone). So, there are a lot of really drunk«townies» which makes for great people watching… and if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em! There is a trashy, albiet authentic feel to this place. The karaōke doesn’t hurt, either.

I have never eaten here b4 only had drinks and sang kareokee… That being said… This place is awesome. Kind of a hole in the wall place with very interesting patrons whom always deliver wonderful people watching. There are no windows and great drink specials… the prefect place to act like a fool. Always a good time but it is what it is and ur either going to love it for what it is or hate it for what it is-personally I love it.

Steve O’s is a place that I have frequented a few times over the past year. This place looks like the bar from The Deer Hunter. No windows, pull-tabs and a crowd that is drinking away the sour memories of a long work day(if applicable). I for one, like the atmosphere. I enjoy being the youngest one in the bar, drinking with the freaks of the previous generation. Sunlight be damned! Anywho, the last couple of times I went there I was recommended to try the wings as I stated that I was a wing enthusiast. I’ve tried their burgers a few times before, which were good, but nothing special, so I figured the wings would be the same. So last night I gave them a try; Holy crap dude! You get 8 wings, but these are full wings, complete with drumette and wing tip. This means that in a normal bar, it would be considered 16 wings. Big! They are dry seasoned, with a perfect hint of what seems to be cinnamon. Whatever it is, it creates a funky vibe of spice and sweetness that I am currently craving as I type this. The wings is why I will come back to Steve O’s with no hesitation. So, for or anyone that happens to stubble across Steve O’s, the Robinsdale refuge. Try the wings and get back to me.

A fine little hole-in-the-wall type of place next to the railroad tracks. The atmosphere is kinda cheesy, with all kinds of food that isn’t good for you, like the chili cheese fries, but a nice respite all the same. Not gourmet food, not a great selection of tap beers, but if you are looking for the basics, this may be the place for you.

Hands down, best dive bar around. When I go out, I usually get dressed up and head downtown. But, when I want a casual night of fun, good wings, awesome people and cheap drinks — I head to Steve-O’s. My late twenty-something friends and I have fun with the late fourty-something regulars and the bartenders are awesome(I think its b/c we actually tip(it doesn’t seem as if the regulars tip well)). The food is bar food, but the wings are well above average. But, you don’t go to Steve O’s for the food… you go to drink cheap canned beer and people watch.

A local dive bar. If you ever feel bad about your self esteem, go to SteveO’s. It’s an instant pick-me-up with the clientele not being remotely attractive. The karaōke is Wed-Sat and is pretty bad. Fun people watching. The bartender was very friendly and we had a good time. It is a dive bar… don’t expect anything different.

Okay… I’ve only been here on nights that they have karaōke. Which is Wed-Sat. THAT is part of the reason that they get 3 stars! The company that runs on Thursday and Friday is MUCH better than the one that runs on Wed and Sat. But the core crowd is the same karaōke junkie-addicts(*see myself). That said, if a trailer park, a liquor store, and a tree had an orgy in a small town… this bar, somehow, would be the offspring. The food is beyond sh! tty. I’ve only eatten here once and that was on one of my first visits. I tried a couple of the appitizers(they were ½ price during happy hour) and I think I had a steak. The steak was WAY over cooked TWICE!!! and the apps were bland at best… however, I’ve never tried their chicken wings(which I am to understand they are«famous» for)… I have seen them, and they are HUGE!(and they do smell good) but it just smells like broasted chicken too… I’ve never had a problem with the prices of the drinks. I think that it’s pretty reasonable. But, I drink Mich Golden by the pitcher and take shots when I feel like it. The people watching is fun… almost every night during karaōke, there is some chick(usually the same one) who will get up on a table and dance… you may want to cover your eyes for that one tho! Occationally there are some small«misunderstandings» between patrons but I’ve never seen the cops called… well, funny story if you have a moment… I guess that Steve O’s sponsors a softball team, and some of the members of said team are«peace officers». Now, this team was out one night celebrating a win and having some libations when they ALL got into a «little» altercation with a few other people in the bar. One thing led to a pool table being rearranged to about 5 feet away, some people who were about 10 feet from where it started got pushed over… blah, blah, blah. Long story made short, the softball team got to stay. There was another time quite recently that I was there, that I actually saw a man who was so drunk that he just fell over and passed out. I’ve seen people fall asleep at tables, wake up and get served. I’ve seen people just bring in their own beer and liquor and bypass that pesky«having to pay» thing. This bar is right next to some railroad tracks and the parking lot is gravel and just as rough as the voices of most of the smoking alcoholics that make up the regulars. ***This is a bar that you can show up to when you’ve been cut off at one or two others and still get served. But… If you are looking for a pretty good karaōke joint for a Thursday or Friday in the area… this is it! If you can deal with a few stupid people.

The interior is where pine goes to die. Honest to god — its on the floor, the ceiling, the booths, benchs, EVERYWHERE. There can be some good people watching — my favorite was the sexy beast of a lady the skin tight white romper, complete with daisy dukes. Hot! People bring their own beer coozies. The staff wasn’t ever rude to me. The patrons annoyed me. They annoyed me enough to give it 2 stars. They were THAT bad.

If you are looking for trash look no further, this bar and restaurant is grade A trash. Next to the olé Crystal Wine and Spirits is this horrendous bar. I have heard old timers talk about this bar, can’t remember what it used to be called, but it was probably nothing like this. The parking lot is packed around 5:00, certainly not for the bland food, but for everyone just getting off of work and realizing their chances of getting a DWI at 6 p.m. are far less than later in the evening. I have been here several times *yet another sigh* the staff is rude to non-regulars and I guess my full beard made them never believe I was over 21? I even had a pseudo mullet, I’m on your side, come on. More importantly, with the power of rumors, the owner of this bar tipped less than 10% at an establishment that I won’t mention. If you’re in the bar business you have to understand how tipping at a bar works. GOOD: * They have beer, in cans. * Get your billiards on and hand pick songs on the jukebox to irritate customers BAD: * Service * Selection of drinks UGLY: * Vodka Red Bull over $ 7.50?! * American Idol wannabes that flock for karaōke, face it you look like a horse. * Truly uninspiring alcohols, make you want to stop drinking Must go here if the other 400+ bars are not good enough in the twin cities Must avoid going here Stay back, stay alive bar patrons.
