Mostly, I do enjoy eating at Chili’s. Much better than Ruby Tuesdays and a world apart from Applebee’s. Food tastes much more fresh and well prepared than the other places mentioned. –First of the bunch to arrive Saturday morning. Seated promptly. Mom, dad and my kids with me. The only other time I have ever gotten a salad as the main meal was at Chili’s in Charlottesville. Thought it was a sin indeed… but Chili’s salads are sooo good. They are! I got the Chicken Margarita salad. like a Tex-Mex salad with chicken. I love the fried corn strips and I got a side of sour cream with it. Just plain good. Waitress was really nice, helpful and overall cheerful. Had to wait a bit longer for the food but I’ve noticed at most Chili’s I go to, it’s the same in regards of the wait so… expectations have been set and I know now… Not so bad to understand you are going to have a bit of a wait when making the decision to eat. Everyone enjoyed their meals!

Brought our family of 6 here for an early Sunday dinner. We requested a booth and the host took at least 5 mins cleaning off a table(with a half empty restaurant) while we kept our 2 hungry kids occupied plus 2 infants in their carriers busy… We were seated and given 2 menus and our server arrived right after with 2 set of silverware(for our table of 6… with 4 eating). To say her serving personality was underwhelming to say the least. She barely smiled or looked at us and took our drink order. She came back with drinks and walked away. Finally waited for her to return and asked for straws and she pointed at the silverware under the menus and said they’re there and immediately walked away again! This went on for the majority of the menu. She was disinterested. She didn’t ask what she could get us. She brought an appetizer with only 2 plates. It was just a frustrating dining experience as she would drop off her items and would leave without us getting a chance to ask her to bring what we needed. I walk to the restroom with 1 infant & a toddler and she and 3 other servers are sitting in a booth eating… which I’m fine with… If you are taking care of your table and thinking ahead. No water refills. No napkins brought. Appetizer platter wasnt cleaned off table(which was completely empty) so I had to put it on the ledge above us. She wasn’t rude. she just didn’t seem to care. It was just disappointing as as we had driven 3 hrs and just wanted a good meal before going home. I gave this 3 stars because the food came out hot, no long wait times and simply really good. We had Cheese fries and fried pickles as an appetizer and they came out perfect and hot! We also ordered chicken fajitas and the chicken was grilled sooo tender and juicy, a smothered burrito which was cheesy and huge & a sirloin and kids pizza). But service is so so important. We are good tippers always well over 20%…we don’t believe in not tipping but this was one of the 1st times I’ve ever thought about if I was a non tipper this would be a time I wouldn’t! On 3 entrees 1 kids meal &2 appetizers we tipped 15% and that was hard to do. Near the end of the meal she came and asked if we needed… As an afterthought… I was a server throughout college. Maybe she thought our family of 6(2 being infants) wasn’t worth looking after well. I hope this Chili’s understands how service is as equally important to the food itself(especially to thus wife and mom of 4) and will be the main reason we wouldn’t want to return.

It’s a chilies. Similar to the rest of the chain they have chain quality food and consistency. The restaurant is clean and the service is polite. The restaurant features a device that allows you to order and pay from the table. This helps to get you on your way if your just having a quick lunch.

Service is lousy at the culpeper restaurant. Waited a half hour and no one came to take our order. We left and i don’t know if we will be back.

Our family loves coming here. Herschel is our favorite server, he always greets us with a smile and takes good care of us. Out of all the chain restaurants in Culpeper, this is our favorite by a wide margin. The food is always perfectly prepared, and promptly served. Couldn’t be happier about this place. If I could put more than five stars I would simply because of the entire experience every time we go!

The food is good at a good value. Been couple times over the summer. It seems each time the service is slow and the help going though the motions. It’s not too bad to stop me going back.

QUICKSUMMARY– Our server, Herschel, was amazing. The sweet fries were amazing. I’d visit this location again. __________________________________________ I need to preface this review by saying that I have visited a Chili’s restaurant about a dozen times(and I usually am not impressed), but this was my first visit to this location. My husband suggested we stop here for lunch during our usual weekly shopping trip and I reluctantly agreed. Chili’s has always been the epitome of «average» to me and just not worth the calories I’d have to burn off and the cash my hubby would have to spend. ORDERING– We visited on Sunday afternoon(6-22-2014). It was not busy. We were greeted within a few seconds of arriving and waited about a minute for a table in the dining room to be prepared by the hostess. After being seating we waited about a minute for our server, Herschel, to take our drink order. He asked if we had been to this Chili’s before and he explained that the interior has recently been remodeled. He was genuinely cheerful and informative without sounding like he was giving a rehearsed spiel; it just felt like he was making pleasant conversation. If we returned, I feel like he’d remember us. THEMEAL– We got the special: Pick an appetizer and 2 entrees from a selection for $ 20. Sounded perfect. We ordered the tostada chips & salsa app, I got the 6oz. sirloin with broccoli and sweet potato fries, and Hubby got the honey chipotle chicken crispers with fries and corn on the cob; both came with a piece of texas toast. We waited about 20 minutes for our food to arrive. Hubby loves the chips and salsa but I just pick at them. The chips are slightly warm, which I like, and the salsa is cold, which I don’t like, but this salsa is much better than at other Chili’s I’ve been to. It’s usually too watery and chunky, but this was well blended. I tried my sweet potato fries first and I nearly finished them before I even started in on my steak. They were incredibly delicious! The perfect balance of sweet and salty, crisp and tender. I would come back just to order these fries! My steak was cooked to the temperature I asked(Medium) and was well flavored and tender. The broccoli seemed to be from fresh(not frozen like some chains serve) and were cooked well, but didn’t have any seasoning. Overall a lovely meal that made me glad Hubby had chosen it. It was a good portion of food; I did have a little leftover, but didn’t feel stuffed. I commented to Herschel that«the fries are bangin’ «and he relayed that to the chef who appreciated my comment. Herschel added that the chefs had just been retrained on the fries to make them better, so I’m glad to have been able to give positive feedback. Hubby liked his selections as well. I did try his honey chipotle crispers but the sauce was a bit too acrid for me. It tasted like it had a raw pepper flavor more than a sultry, smoky pepper flavor. It wasn’t bad, just not my taste. He liked them just fine. ETC– The restrooms were clean and well-appointed. There was a touch-screen automated menu available at our table(Hubby had heard about this being a new feature at Chilis) and it also had games, but I kept making Hubby use my Pocket-Bac hand sanitizer every time he touched it, LOL. I didn’t dare touch it. I admit to being a bit of a germ-a-phobe(I wash after touching the menu and don’t touch the tabletop at restaurants, but it kinda grossed me out to think that all of you people who don’t wash your hands before a meal had touched it and I don’t know how/when Chili’s sanitizes those things, so NOTHANKS to table-side touch screens for me(neat idea though).

Very disappointed with to go service. After a long day of work, we decided to have a nice Chili’s dinner at home. In spite of the fact that the last time they sent our steaks over done, we went for it again. And we got a salad and a new Fresh Mex dish. In the internet site clearly states that it comes with rice and beans, none of the two came in the bag. Don’t tell me I have to check it, this is a paid service and it is supposed to be a professional one. They owe me a ¼ of my dinner. The manager? Interviewing someone, of course. DISAPPOINTED.

We have enjoyed both the sit down and the To-Go services at this Chilis and had great experiences with both. Tonight we ordered the 2 for 20 for take out and our order was taken and served very efficiently and the food was delicious! Everything was packaged very nicely for easy reheating at home and good sized portions of the appetizers and entrees. Guacamole was excellent, the bacon jack chicken breast was very good as well as the chicken bacon quesadillas. We have and will continue to eat here!

Typical chain restaurant. Always run out of guacamole. The 2 for $ 20 or any offer they have for 2ppl never comes out to its actual price. We must be adding additional stuff or I’m not sure if we’re ordering from the wrong section.

The service was good. At first when we walked in the door the girls that greeted us were a bit snooty but after we sat, she lightened up a bit. We arrived around 4pm on a saturday and the place was pretty much empty. few people here and there. I ordered the chicken bacon and ranch quesadilla which was amazing! My boyfriend ordered the ribs and it seemed to have bone sharps in the BBQ sauce. Not to pleasing when trying to enjoy your food. we also ordered the spinach and artichoke dip that was good too. The food took a bit longer to come out but we were ok with that, since we had an appetizer and like to enjoy our time. Oh and the water tasted like rusty pipes. Yuck so I ordered a sweat tea which was pretty good. Overall good experience but not anything worth bragging about.

It is so funny that I was reading the reviews while sitting here and the tip that said to get the nachos and salsa because it will take forever for your food to come what prophetic. I still like Chili’s over and above the other chain«sit-down» spots in Culpeper though. Southwester Egg rolls are my favorite.

Have visited many times in the past but it seems that recently has taken a turn for the worse. Service was very slow and lackluster. Normally have their fantastic Cobb salad but they no longer offer it, so i ordered the shrimp tacos instead. Tacos had very little favor, or shrimp, for that matter, Our entress took 35 minutes to come out and then the server disappeared for another 30 minutes. Will really think twice before returning.

Husband & I stopped in here for a late lunch/early dinner on 1⁄11. Arrived around 4:30 p.m. to a completely empty dining room — just a couple of people sitting at the bar. Were seated immediately, but had to wait a bit for our waitress to show — sort of odd since the place was empty. Soft drinks were brought right away, but our order took a lot longer than we would have figured, the place still being empty & all. Regardless of time, husband’s «Margarita Chicken» was delicious. An extremely tasty, juicy, grilled boneless/skinless marinated chicken breast served on a bed of black beans & rice, topped with a spoonful of Pice de Gallo. I’ll definitely be thinking of ordering that next time! I was in a sandwich mood & ordered the little cheeseburger sliders — & boy were they«little» — lol! About 2 bites each, & thus on the dry side. Must be hard to keep 2″ diameter burgers juicy. Don’t think I’ll be revisiting these. Fries were typical & fine. So all in all, an okay meal for a reasonable price. Just order judiciously. I don’t have the bill in front of me, but it was in line with other chains — Ruby Tuesday, Applebees, Glory Days, etc., etc. The menu just has more of a TexMex flair than the others.

For starters, you can’t go wrong with the bottomless chips & salsa. It’s pretty cheap & its neverending. In addition to that I love the fajitas — some of my favorite anywhere. They have tons of delicious stuff on the menu so you won’t be disappointed.

My last three dinner-hour visits to this restaurant have resulted in waiting 30 minutes or more for a table, while looking at a half occupied dining room. The excuse each time has been«short staffed». On saturday night? In this economy, I find it hard to believe ‘help wanted’ ads go unanswered… When finally seated we were rewarded with lackluster service. Prior to my recent visits I enjoyed dining here.
