Run don’t walk down the street to another brewery!!! If I could give them zero stars I would. We went in Saturday night late, they were not busy, so we sat at the bar. The bar tender started off rude and got worse and worse! She didn’t greet us, she just said I need ID. Then got extremely annoyed when we were asking about the beers. She practically screamed at us to just get a flight. We have owned restaurants and bars for years and if one of my employees acted that way to a customer I would have fired them on the spot! She is definitely not helping this business at. We went with a local who admitted that it is hit or miss when she is there. So someone yell at the owners to get rid of her and GROW your business. We won’t be back.

We visited here on a Friday after eating dinner at Thai Culpeper. The place was packed! Fortunately, our timing was such that a table opened up that could seat the 7 of us. Three of the guys ordered the entire flight of 10 brews, whereas the women folk ordered pints of the Ginger Ale: — Grandpa’s Dutzel Altbier — Nelson Wizen American Wheat — Yager Mountain Pale Ale — Imberbrau Ginger — Grundbier Scottish — Coon’s Process Pale Ale — Madden’s IPA — Ruth O’Dell Dry Stout — Infuser Special Cocoa Stout — Lemon Radler All of their brews were interesting, even the ones I was not a fan of. I particularly enjoyed the Yager Mountain Pale Ale, the Coon’s Process Pale Ale, and the Madden’s IPA. After we completed our flight, I ordered a pint of the Coon’s Process Pale Ale. Appropriately, it has a bit of a deliciously skunky, hoppy aspect to it. The folks working the counter were super nice. I look forward to coming back here again! Good brews!

Once again Culpeper, VA amazes me. We took a day trip to visit local wineries but fell in love with a small town with a big heart. The purple bricks hide a welcoming interior where the owner severs you local brews and a hearty smile. This jem of a local bar is the pulse of the city and I heartily recommend anyone making the trip to mid VA to seek it out and drink till your hearts content.

My boyfriend and I went here for the second time last night, and I have to admit we were a little nervous! Why??? Well, the first time we went we LOVEDEVERYTHING, the beers, the décor, the owner’s quirky stories of the beer names, the cheese balls in the free snack mix… The second time was no different(sigh of relief!!). The ten beers on tap were all good, with my favorites being the Hefe and the Ginger. My boyfriend and I tend to be «Non-hop heads»(I know, very rare these days), but I swear I heard him say, «wow I really like this IPA!» What?!? They also usually have 2IPAS, and last night a Porter, Milk Stout, Scottish Ale, Altbeir, with other brews as Steve gets creative! They have a special changing brew that goes through the infuser, this time blackberries added to the Ginger beer, previously local coffee added to the Porter. Also, perfect summer brews called Radlers(aka Shandys) with the traditional lemonade, but also raspberry and lime! Last night was definitely hopping(get it??), with groups, couples, friends, all enjoying the local neighborhood gathering place with great beer and a comfortable feel. Check it out, there’s something for everyone!

New Brew Pub in Culpeper. No food, you can bring your own. They currently have 6 beers on tap. They are all very tasty. I didnt notice any of the troubles some nano-brewerys have on startup. The beer was tasty, fresh and cold. I am not a beer expert. I dont like your standard large brewey beers, but I can’t tell you all of the taste notes of the Far Gohn beers and the particulars. But the Dunkle Stout(?) and Heffe Weizen were great. The others were very good too. They are advertising more beers to come. Head on down and give them a taste. Thur, Fri and Sat night. I think you’ll enjoy the rustic decorating and friendly small town pub atmosphere.
