I haven’t been to this salon, but I just saw this on google: and I feel so bad for whoever had this done to their hair. i would cry. AWFUL. WORSTOMBRE I’VEEVERSEEN. That is not ombré, that is just a terrible TERRIBLE dip dye monstrosity. For goodness sake, it’s a harsh orange, no toner was used, and it’s so obviously bleached. There is no gradation. I advise anyone who come’s here to not go to this woman. I’m astonished that someone would post that picture of their work when it’s so awful. If you want to see a real ombré, look up Guy Tang and Johnny Ramirez. I’m praying this poor soul had her hair fixed by a real professional. Ombré by Johnny Ramirez: Guy Tang P. s. I’m assuming this lady, Ashley, has never worked with asian hair. I’m just… NO. NONONOOO. I can’t get over that hair. It’s just terrible.

i have never dyed my hair or any chemical treatment to my hair, and my sister recommended me to get a new look with color. i usually stick to my natural haircolor which is black. but when i met Ashley she made me feel so comfortable and confident that i would love my color. so i let her«experiment«on me. she gave me a simple but beautiful caramel brown haircolor ! i love it! she styled my hair in beautiful curls, i couldnt put the mirror down lol. she was such a sweet heart and i loved the experience. she even left to go pick up my haircolor for me, which i think the salon provided it for me. but she was such a sweet heart for going to get it for me:). i will definitely be back, ask for Ashley!

After a lot of experiments for a haircut, I finally found Ashlee who gave me a really manageable and great looking haircut for my frizzy hair. And the salon is so girly and cute that you would love to spend your time here! Overally a great experience!

Ashely is simply fantastic and if you’re looking for a new stylist — check her out! I’d searched Unilocal many times before(and even Craigslist when I was desperate) looking for a great braider in Los Angeles. All of the places I found had any combination of the following problems: kids running around, braider shows up late, outrageous prices, sloppy work, etc. Ugh! Fellow braider wearers — I know you feel my pain! This braiding experience was the exact opposite of all of that! Having Ashley braid my hair was simply put — an experience. You always want your hair stylist to be someone easy-going and friendly(especially when getting braids since you’re normally there for a few hours) and Ashley was all of that and more. She’s totally personable and took the time to ask me exactly what I wanted — length, style, part, etc. I got long(middle of the back) individuals. They’re small, virtually weightless for the amount of hair, incredibly neat(seriously, I look at them everyday and ask«How can you still be so beautiful!?»), and secure(but not tight — how does she do it?!). They took about 5 hours total(including dipping to secure the ends) and cost $ 125 — incredibly decently priced! I also had the chance to see more of Ashley’s work(it’s displayed in the salon and on the website) and I’m excited to go back to her in a few months and try something new. Keratin, ombré, the options are endless! The salon is super fresh and beautiful. There’s a tv, but they don’t blast it like lots of other salons. My favorite part is definitely the fact that they’re by appointment only. That means your stylist focuses on YOU and not on nabbing every walk in that comes in. I’m sooooooo glad I found Ashely(best braider in Los Angeles!) and I’m sooooooo glad I found Cocobella!
