Messages should be checked at least weekly. Better, daily. Better still, if you have a message, you should be aware of it and respond within 24 hours. To ignore them is not appropriate for a business like this. There are other low vision centers, this is not your only choice.

DONOTUSETHISCENTER. I don’t care if you’re partially blind, if you’re having trouble seeing, trust me: go somewhere else. I tried making an appointment/inquiry through their website. No response. I called. No response. I called twice more, and finally got an appointment on the third call. I was told I could meet with an intern for less money, or an Optometrist for more money. I chose the Optometrist and was told how much the consultation would cost. I got an appointment for 3 weeks from the time I called for the Torrance Office. I got a call from a very nice worker who did a full intake with me on the phone. Lovely. When my appointment finally came, I met with a very kind Optometrist who did a very thorough exam. He was wonderful. He told me not to pay til I came back for my glasses. He gave me a pair of his own glasses to use for the week I would be without while I waited for my lenses to be made. He told me the office would call me when my glasses were ready. A week later, no one had called. A week and a half later, I called. The man who answered said they’d be done the next day, and they would call me. No one called. The next week, I called again. Same answer. Three weeks after I had ordered glasses, they called at 4:45pm on Friday to say my glasses were ready. I called back on Monday, and the woman told me I needed to make an appointment to pick them up. Huh? «In case they need adjusting.» Of course the next available appointment was a week from when I was calling! Since my office visit, despite the doctor telling me to wait to pay til I got my glasses, I have received 2 invoices in the mail. Put aside the fact that I’d been told not to pay until I got my glasses: The invoice is for $ 70 more than what they quoted me on the phone when I made the appointment! And that doesn’t even include what the cost of the glasses are going to be. So, 8 weeks after I started trying to get a new pair of sunglasses so I can see even with Optic Neuritis, I’ll MAYBE have a new pair this coming Tuesday, when I have my «glasses getting appointment.» Learn from my mistakes. Pass on this place. Go to another Optometrist who is actually organized. Seriously.
