I’ve been to Chris’ exactly two times. Both times it was to have a chain saw sharpened. I had a big(dead) tree in my backyard that needed to be removed before it fell on anyone or anything. The people there we helpful. Sharpening it cost $ 8, which I felt was very reasonable, but I must admit, I didn’t do any comparison shopping to get other estimates. The place could use a new coat of paint, but I’m happy with the service, and if I need my chainsaw sharpened in the future, I’ll be back.

Took my Lawnboy lawnmover to Chris when it would not start. All the people at the shop were very nice and Gloria was especially nice. They charged me $ 40 to get water out of my fuel line and to clean the carburetor. I was very happy about that. I am going to recommend this place to everyone I know. The only thing kind of negative is the hours. They are open Saturday till 2pm and not on Sunday.

Terrible. Walked in hoping to get a few questions answered and ended up witnessing a near-physical altercation between Chris, who was screeching hysterically at the top of his lungs, and another customer who was calmly telling Chris that he was being overcharged for a service that was specifically quoted over the phone. The customer also said that he didn’t receive a follow-up phone call from Chris or his crew to get approval before additional work was done on whatever he brought in to get serviced. I didn’t stick around for the outcome because at this point, Chris started pacing around and shrieking GETOUT to the poor customer who was still trying to explain his side of the story, so I took Chris’ cue and got out of there ASAP. I don’t think I will attempt to go back to Chris’ again, given how disorganized and unprofessional the staff are.

We really like Chris and his Mom, always keeping busy running the shop. Time is money for a lot of the gardeners, and fast repairs from Chris keep everyone working on client gardens.

Took my mower to Chris after sitting in my shed all winter I couldn’t get it started, Chris pulled on the starter and said it needs a valve adjustment, asked him to repair it and Di a complete service, when I received my machine the next day he had adjusted the valves changed the oil sharpened the blade and adjusted the cables. The machine performed as it did 15 years ago when it was new!

They were recommended to me by my tree trimmer who uses them for repairing his tools. I was happy to find a family run business… and they have been open in the same spot for the last 20 years. The place was filled with equipment and in the back is a shop where they fix the machines and sharpen tools. The reason I went there was to get my mower fixed. They were able to get it running and sharpened the blade the same day. They treated me fair and professionaly and they seemed to be the«go to» place for all of the local gardening companies. I have not been in a better place!

I brought my mower here to be repaired. The owner(Chris, I assume) was not friendly, didn’t give me any estimate to how long it would take, how much it would cost, or even a guess as to what he thought was wrong with it. $ 50 and 1 week later I got it back. I mowed my lawn once and it worked fine. Next time I went to mow my lawn was 5 weeks later(yes, I wait for it to look like a jungle before I decide to mow my lawn). It wouldn’t start. I brought it in and the owner said that they only guarantee for 30 days. I explained that I had been in a car accident and my truck was in the shop for two weeks — hence couldn’t bring the mower in sooner. He didn’t care. He started taking my mower to the back, brought me a new form to fill out and expected me to pay him full price again for a repair — without any cost estimate or even a guess about why the lawnmower was again not working. He was rude and not helpful at all. Bring your mower somewhere else. There are lots of lawnmower repair shops in the area.
