Had an awesome time here. It is under new management. The store has improved significantly and is much cleaner. Has plenty of wine, tequila, scotch and much more. Plus more foods. Coming back here

Decent beer selection. They have a selection of microbrews and representation from California breweries that you won’t find in every corner liquour store. Surprised it only has three reviews… Though maybe every store in this neighborhood offers a nice selection of beers like this.

Passing this from the street, I always thought it looked like a clean, nice liquor store. I stopped there one evening on the way to a friend’s house and was immediately put off by the man behind the counter saying welcome back and long time no see. He asked how my vacation was. I said it was my first time in there and he must have me mistaken for someone else, and he looked at me in disbelief and said he must have seen me around. He asked where i lived! He went on to ask me how my family was, my kids, etc. and said how lucky my husband or boyfriend was. He asked if I had kids, and when I said no, he basically told me I wasn’t getting any younger. All of this before seeing what I needed! He even asked if I had come in the store alone or if I was with friends. The whole experience was so creepy that even though I came out with a bottle of Maker’s Mark(hence two stars), I knew I would never return. When I got to my friend’s house, I asked if she had ever been to the Liquor Barrel, and she said she just went in there for the first time and the man acted like he knew her. Same routine! If you are a woman, avoid this place. You will feel at best uncomfortable and at worst unsafe.

They didnt have my first choice but they do have a nice selection of liquor to choose from. Their beer selection is a little small, but thats not what I came here for.
