This place is kind of hidden away, but arguably has the best Mediterranean food in Downtown Culver City.

Food was good but not nearly amazing(pretty high number of stars given by people to not be amazing… just saying) The Chicken Kabob Plate: Chicken is juicy and nicely cooked. Good fresh taste. The grilled vegetables aren’t really ones I’d like to eat(quarter onion). The rice is a bit bland(didn’t bother finishing it) The hummus was decent but not the best, lacks some flavor) The fries were good. Good flavor. Delivery was quick and had no issues. Overall, Grilliant is good not great. To get a 4, I’d have to like the rice more. With the rice, the plate is the right amount of food; without the rice, I’m a little hungry still. Still looking for that«go to» Mediterrean Take Out spot.

Always a great meal. While I prefer the interior decoration of the Toluca Lake location, it does not detract from their always deliciously seared salmon. I came here on a Sunday night at 7pm with a friend and there was no one there. Perfect, because I was starving. I ordered the quinoa salad with salmon and it was scrumptious. My friend ordered the chicken kabob plate. We both devoured everything within a few minutes. While it is on the pricier side for Mediterranean food, it is delicious and is always consistent in being yummy!

*Review for take-out only. Delicious and healthy yet hearty. Ordered the chicken kebab plate which comes with rice, grilled vegetables, pita bread slices, a few sauces and choice of one side(chose hummus). Chicken is seasoned and grilled excellently. Requested to sub the rice with salad. Hummus was really good both in flavor and in texture. Was indifferent about the sauces but the food was seasoned well enough to stand out in flavor without adding extra sauce. The staff here are extremely friendly and my food was ready within the promised 15 minutes. Grilliant is located next to Pieology, technically not ON Main St… initially had some difficulty locating it.

I found Grilliant to be a great place to come if you are first-timer in eating the Mediterranean food. Great ambience and we were welcomed by very welcoming young man. It is pricey — considering you’re getting rice and meat on stick, lol. Nonetheless, it still takes a while to cook. I order the beef fillet kabob. It was delicious — and I ordered it with the hummus! Great! Everything was amazing! The only thing that threw me off was the amount of beef I got. I only got 1 skewer worth of beef, whereas it should be a t least 2 considering it was 17.99 for the plate. I thought that was a little stingy. Anywho, place was great. Come here if you are in the area!

We had the chicken and beef kabob with rice, grilled veggies, hummus and salad. The chicken was delicious. Very flavorful and juicy. Grilled veggies were yummy too. The beef was very tender but I thought it needed a little more flavor. Also had their fresh brewed tea with fresh squeezed lemonade. YUM! And to end dinner we had some chocolate covered strawberries. Amazing. Small place, decent price, great food oh and the service was terrific. Definitely coming back.

I walked by this place, and stopped to look at their menu because I noticed they were new. This adorable server(looked like a b-boyer about to start break dancing) walked out and offered me a sample of their soup of the day to, successfully, entice me inside. Probably the most delicious butternut squash soup I’ve ever had, AND they used no cream. Hashtag healthy! Great kabobs, friendly service, above and beyond attention to their customer’s needs. Would definitely dine there again. AND they have TV’s.

Get your kebab fix here! It’s way better than the other place near the theater! Also make sure to try out the Eggplant mirti — a nice change from the typical order of hummus. Although, you might get a nice person that’s willing to give you half & half. Or even better a free sample — cuz that’s what convinced me! That being said, the important part: the rest of food was very good. Meat & salmon were cooked well(aka medium-rare). Food can take a bit as it’s cooked fresh. But you can chill out in their decent sized room and watch TV or just chat. Plus we got a chocolate walnut at the end for free!

Grillant has become a staple in our weekday dine out options. We typically order the salmon and chicken plates with a side hummus and french fries. Food is grilled to order so it’s fresh. The food is simple and healthy and very kid friendly. The service is excellent. They are dog friendly and usually offer our dog a bowl of water. They have an enclosed and heated patio in which we can sit and enjoy dinner with our dog. They once served us cold soup, but not only did they rectify, but then also gave us a free bowl of chicken noodle soup to go. ~Chickitta

This new place in Culver has great hummus. I think they make it to order which makes it super fresh. While we were dining they also brought out a sample of their eggplant for us to try. Their staff was super friendly and working really hard to make sure all of their customers were satisfied. This is a great place to get a quick, healthy lunch.

So my boyfriend and I were in downtown Culver, desperately hungry(and desperate to avoid the crowds of hipsters) when we found Grilliant. This is a nice, casual place with healthy food in huge portions at a decent price. Everyone who works here seems genuinely nice. They even hooked me up with a bunch of napkins when I was walking by a week later and spilled coffee all over my white top X[ PROS — «GRILLIANT»(c’mon guys) — tasty grilled chicken — cute patio — friendly employees CONS — eggplant mirza is really smoky(SUPERSMOKY is it supposed to taste like that?!) — everytime I pass this place it looks so empty I’m worried it’s closing

4.5 stars? This must be a god damn joke. TLDR: Bush lied about 9⁄11. Lance Armstrong lied about steroids. Unilocal lies about Grilliant. Everyone else: Grilliant at the time of this review, is a semi-new restaurant in Culver City. It’s mediterranean. It’s disappointing and above-all else, you’ll leave wishing you would have gotten the gyro sandwich from Which Wich down the street. Service: Dude was nice. Gave me some free pita bread during the meal which is the least he could do since I had to wait 30GODDAMNMINUTESIN A RESTAURANTWHERE I WASONEOUTOF A TOTALOFTWOCUSTOMERS, ALLWHILEFREEZINGMYASSOFF! Seriously though, when I walked in, there was one other guy in there who was ordering, and that’s it. I think 2 more people came in after us. Le Ambiance: Cool looking restaurant. It’s cold af so wear a jacket. Food: I ordered the Fire Grilled Chicken Wrap and a side of spicy hummus. My wife ordered the Eggplant Mirza. The Fire Grilled Chicken Wrap came out hot. So that was cool, I guess. There was about 6 metric-tons of tomatoes on it, and although fresh af, masked the 2 ounces of fire-burnt chicken that was on it as well. The spicy hummus, came with pita bread which was as cold as Bear Gryll’s rig after crossing an ice river(I was watching Man vs. Wild today. Sorry.). Silly me thought that when the guy brought out extra pita bread, it would be warm. Yep, it was just as cold as the first batch. The«spicy» hummus itself was about as spicy as a glass of milk. The flavor was non-existent. They could have just as easily called it «bland air» on the menu. The Eggplant Mirza was just plain foul. I really want to say that it tastes how it looks, but you might be tempted to go there and order it just to see what I mean. So instead, i’ll just tell you it tastes like shit and hope you believe me. Ever been to a restaurant and just thought, «Man, I bet the owner’s friends just gave this place 5 stars to help them out.»? This isn’t one of those places. This is the kind of place where the owner made like 200 fake Unilocal accounts, or paid a bunch of dudes in India a cheap wage… actually, maybe a big wage(I don’t really know), to write good reviews for them. If this was your friend’s restaurant, you wouldn’t be friends. Trust me. The only way I’m going back to this place is if I have to prep for an audition for«2 Girls, 1 Cup Part 2: Guy’s Do It Better» …at least I hope it’s called that.

I’ve grown so weary of restaurants not knowing what’s in their food. I went to Grilliant a few weeks ago and while perusing the menu one of the staff, the manager presumably, was beyond eager to help. «Any menu questions? Let me know, I’m here to help!» I saw the portobello flatbread which sounded vegan friendly so I asked, «Any dairy or eggs in that flatbread? In the bread itself?» He enthusiastically told me that it was egg and dairy free, I had no reason to doubt the man, so that’s what I ordered. Fast forward an hour when my stomach is freaking out in a way I’m unfortunately familiar with: dairy in my food. I emailed the main contact info on Grilliant’s website and asked the same question I asked at the store, «Any egg or dairy in the flatbread?» Their official response: «There’s no egg but there’s dairy in the bread itself.» Thanks for the bloated nauseous feeling I dealt with the rest of the day and evening, Grilliant. If you don’t know whats in your food then fine, say so, but please don’t make things up.

Okay here’s the deal… I really like this place but in my opinion what’s breaking it for me is that they DONOT have garlic sauce! The chicken is really good and tender, the service hospitable, but NOGARLICSAUCE???@?@?? What’s up with that??? Hence 3 stars!!! Please serve garlic sauce as an option and I will gladly change this to 5 stars. Otherwise you’re breaking my heart!!! I would love to say love but for right now I’m just crushing on ya till y’all get that garlic sauce.

So happy I found this place! Grilliant is a great Mediterranean spot with excellent customer service. The food here is awesome but to me the real selling point is the friendly and genuine customer service. My friend was curious about the hummus so they offered her a good sized sample! Nice! There is ample seating(I like sitting on the patio) and a great menu. I always get the chicken kabobs and fries. The fries are so crispy and are consistently good. I have even attached a picture!

Very pleasant surprise! The place looks like an ordinary Mediterranean fastfood joint but since it’s so close to home, we stopped by to give it a shot. First of all, great service. The servers there are extremely accommodating. We were curious about eggplant mirti so she offered a big sample with pita bread! I was curious about salmon kabob but worried that it might be dry so the server offered the option of getting half salmon and half beef. We weren’t sure we should get regular or spicy hummus and she again offered half half! Every single server there was super nice and attentive. More importantly, food was surprisingly good. The salmon kabob turned out to be very juicy and tender, not dry at all! Beef kabob was perfectly medium-rear, the way I want it. Eggplant mirti was slightly smoky and just DELICIOUS! Both types of hummus were good! Definitely coming back!

Grilliant offers great middle-eastern cuisine in the heart of Culver City. The Chicken Kebabs were juicy and flavorful. The Spicy Hummus was good too. I was not a big fan of the salads except the Quinoa Salad that was very refreshing and tasted great with the right herbs and spices. For some reason you can get great French Fries here. Everyone in our party loved the fries. The place has nice modern décor and good middle-eastern food. I had a good time here.

Overall, a decent lunch spot. Only real gripe is that it’s not cheap, and does profess to be a healthy restaurant, however their meet isn’t organic or grass fed? Regardless, the chicken tasted fresh and the portions were decent. Hummus was good and a huge portion for one.

So happy to see so many new restaurants opening in culver city. The husband and I saw that grilliant had opened one night when we were taking a walk in downtown culver city. Alex, the manager came out, said hello, and gave us a menu. The husband picked up dinner from there the next day. We had the kale salad and a chicken kabob plate with fries. The kale salad was really yummy. The Brussels and nuts in it are a nice touch and the salad dressing is nice and light. The chicken was flavorful, tender, and juicy. The rice was yummy and had a good texture. The grilled veggies were also really good(especially compared to the boring steamed veggies you usually get as a side dish). The fries were good; nothing special. We also got a free chocolate dipped date and strawberry, on the house! Awesome! We liked it so much, we returned the next week for dinner! This time, we got the quinoa salad and beef kabob plate with fries. The salad was good, but we preferred the kale salad. The beef was okay. It didn’t have as much flavor as the chicken. I’ve got to say the customer service there is amazing. Alex remembered us and all the workers were very attentive and super friendly. They’re still doing their soft opening and they’re already awesome! Go now!!!

This was their first or second day. I thought I would try something new around the area for lunch. Their store-front sign is hidden behind trees but it is right next to Pieology. You order at the front counter then seat yourself. I ordered the CHICKENKABOB, which comes with rice and veggies. Unfortunately, the host that took our order didn’t put it in to the kitchen or something and we waited 45 minutes! Anyone knows this is unacceptable. They offered a free drink because of the wait, but I hope they get it together next week. The chicken was a bit dry. The red salsa-ish sauce and the garlic sauce were great. The WATERMELONSMOOTHIE is really refreshing and made with agave. SEASONFRIES side are pretty standard, salty, and crispy.
