What can I say about Pieology? A pizza spot that allows you to personalize and create with unlimited amounts of toppings is like music to my ears! Pieology is located in Culver City’s restaurant row. I love this location because it’s a fun and happening spot to be in, and the store has periodic moments where it isn’t crowded at all. The location is very clean and spotless. I love the sleek stainless steel, white, and black décor. Very spacious and I love the patio seating outside. Perfect for enjoying pizza and beer on a sunny day. The staff were polite and helpful. Since it was my first time here, I got a run down on what the process is on how to create a personalized pizza(like I needed to know that, lol.), but it was nice of them to do that for me. The staff are also fast workers. They had my order ready in less than 15 minutes. As far as pizza goes, it’s pretty damn good! I love the thin crust. Their BBQ sauce is out of this world good! Their house red sauce tastes like it has been simmering for hours. All the topping are fresh. The meats are quality meats. I advise not to put too many toppings or else the crust starts the get a little soggy. Pricing is not bad. I ordered 2 pizzas and it came out to be a little under $ 19. Meter parking is a struggle to find on the street but there are parking structures around the corners of every street that provides you with 1 hour free parking. I love Pieology and their concept of creating pizzas to your taste. The best part of it all… it tastes great and it’s healthy!

We tried this place for the first time. Ordered two different pizzas. Pleasantly surprised! They tasted great! Thin, flat crust with generous fresh tasting toppings and four choices of cheese or a mix of them all. They also hooked us up curb side! Definitely will go here again!

All around A Plus!!! I’m always greeted when I come through the door, and always with a smile :) They go above and beyond for customer service. Tables are always clean and shaker containers for Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and oregano are readily available or easily obtained upon request. Oh and did I mention that they are DELICIOUS at a very REASONABLE price?!? Seriously– num num in my tum tum! $ 8.65 for a pizza with UNLIMITEDTOPPINGS?!? Whatever you want– it’s like the ‘Subway of Pizzas’ because you make your own. They also have menu options for suggested pizzas, but I always build my own. And whether you sit outside or inside, they bring your pizza right to you! I love Pieology!!!

Ok first off, it was empty but pizza is ok… Wayyyy better than 800 but that is not difficult… The gluten free is pretty good! But Blaze is far superior. The toppings looked very good! Fresh, but the regular crust my lady had was just ok… Pizza sauce was not great but we got light sauce. My biggest complaint is the manager on duty… I think he was telling the employee to go on break over our heads over the counter,. Let me fill you in on the worst part, it was our Pizza SMITh! Come on man! My lady’s pizza was burnt because of that… Shame it’s convienant and would get higher than 3 but for that manager trying to save 15min of overtime. Blaze is superior sorry!

I am not a fan of these hydraulically pressed crust pizza chains. For me, an amazing crust is the essence of a great pizza. This crust is far from that. I find it completely bland and overall the pizza is was fairly tasteless. There are four other pizzas int the immediate walking area that are significantly better. I suggest going to one of those instead.

Looking for a fast and tasty pizza? This is the place to come! With an excellent variety of toppings and cheeses you can’t go wrong here. After selecting your base, sauce, cheese, and toppings, the pizza goes into the oven for about 7 – 10 minutes to cook. The base on the pizza was cooked well for a fast-food pizza. The service was very friendly. Would defo stop in here again!

So good! The workers there were super friendly and the pizza was amazing. My cousin and I stumbled upon this place and we loved it. I thought it was cool that is was kind of like a subway for pizza almost like Blaze pizza but it’s more of a quick stop as opposed to blaze where it takes forever and then to sit down and eat. The atmosphere added to the whole experience giving it a cozy feel. Definitely a great place for big groups to hang out at too.

I’ve tried many of these create-your-own pizza places and this is probably one of the better ones(Ugly Pie is still #1 for me)… Lots of topping options, white or wheat crust(that’s a new one!) and they don’t charge for sauces. The pepperoni was a little weird… it looked like those snack size pepperoni that you eat with cheese… but the flavor wasn’t lacking, so it wasn’t a deal breaker. The pizza was great! I judge a lot of these pizzas on their«re-heatability»… like… does it still taste good when re-heated? Cause Lord knows, I can never finish one in one sitting. And this definitely did. Just stuck it in the toaster oven and it was as good as new! One time, I even heated it on a pan, stove top, and the crust was nice and crispy! Put a lid on it to get the cheese to melt all over again. Anyway… if you have the patience to battle the downtown Culver City parking, check this place out… yummy and affordable!

The various Chipotles of pizza of been springing up all across LA and Pieology finds itself in the heart of Downtown Culver, adjacent to a number of fancier pizza and Italian joints. However, Pieology does have it pros as a customizable flat crust pizza that’s made to order within five min. They have a variety of sauces(pesto, house red, buffalo, spicy buffalo), topping, and meats. They also serve beer!(Happy hour is about 6−9pm i think where bottled beer is $ 5, which includes blue moon and lagunitas). I got the Mad for Meat pizza and friends got the non-spicy and spicy version of the buffalo pizza. Fairly tasty with a nice crisp crust, but nothing amazing. Each pizza is $ 8.95, with one pre-specified slice. Friends said theres was comparable to a CPK buffalo chicken pizza. Between this and 800 Degrees, I would lean toward 800 Degrees given that ingredients are a little better/fresher and pizza size is bigger for a similar price. But 800 Degrees has a doughier crust, so if you’re looking for a flat crust, Pieology is the place to go and is A-OK!

Went in a few nights ago, it happened to be Happy Hour for beer 3 – 6 pm. Half price beer can’t beat that! I had them Make me a pizza half Canadian bacon and pineapple, the other half was a mix of a bunch of things with BBQ sauce added! It was so delicious, my son who is very picky inhaled his half and wanted more! Gwen and Megan were my pizza makers both were so cheerful and friendly. The whole crew seemed happy to be there and made the atmosphere pleasant to dine in. I will be back soon for sure!

Pieology is a cute pizza spot and the pizza is sooo good! I love that you can build your own pizza. Just like everyone else said it’s like the chipotle of pizza spots. My girlfriend ordered a spinach, pesto, chicken pizza, and I ordered a pepperoni, spinach, mushroom, and sausage pizza. When we went in, there wasn’t a line, and it wasn’t too busy. There were a couple people sitting down eating and some waiting for their pizzas. The service was good. The employees were friendly, and our pizza took about 5 minutes to cook. The price is average. Two pizzas cost about $ 19. It doesn’t matter how many toppings you put on the pizza. It will still cost the same, which is awesome. One pizza is comparable to somewhere in between a small pizza and a medium pizza at a place like pizza place Roundtable ect. The only thing that’s difficult is the parking. I only saw street parking, and it’s very limited for the amount of restaurants that are in the area.

I don’t know if they were training new employees when I was here or what, but the service was just so lackluster. They only had one person working the create-your-own bar, and this person would try to juggle creating multiple pizzas at a time to no avail and there was a good amount of time I was just standing there waiting while he was serving the person after me in line and my pizza was just halfway through the creation process. I don’t know what the reason for this is — I’m hoping it’s just because the employees were new — but either way, it was just like a terrible experience. Step up yo game, Pieology. The pizza was decent.

One word: Love. Such a fun concept. The Chipotle for pizza. You get to pick out whatever and as many toppings you want. The ingredients are always fresh, which makes for an amazing pizza. As a self proclaimed pizza connoisseur, I’d have to say this is one of my favorite pizza spots in LA! Pieology is located right in the heart of downtown Culver City. It’s clean and the atmosphere is just right. The staff are so friendly. A lively environment that makes great for a dinner night out. Parking sucks.

I eat here at least once a week so yes, I’m a fan. They greet you upon entry, thank you when you leave. Very good customer service here! Most importantly the pizza here is great for what it is! Ingredients are fresh, the crust is thin. It’s fully customizable, and it’s $ 8.71. You can eat it there and it’s hot and fresh. I usually get it to go and it’s still amazing! Choice of Sauces: Pesto Alfredo Red Spicy Red Choice of Cheeses: Mozzarella Feta Parmesan Ricotta Gorgonzola Choice of Veggies: Cherry Tomatoes Minced Garlic Spinach Basil Cilantro Onions Pineapple Black Olives Jalapeño Sliced Tomatoes and more… Choice of Meats: Chicken Spicy Chicken Pepperoni(tiny and meh) Sausage and more. This place is amazing if you’re looking for a fresh, customizable made to order thin crust pizza, ready in just minutes!

Probably the best of it’s class. Like it better than 800 degrees for sure. Like the pricing plan as well. Makes it easier to decide. Just walk in and let you mind do the ordering. My advice is to not go overboard with the toppings even though it is one price. Sometimes less is more. I usually get 4 toppings. That’s enough for me. Gets too messy when you get have too much on the pie.

Live this place! This is actually the first restaurant I tried when I moved to the culver city area and they had a great deal going on! I love the idea behind building your own pizza — I’m all about choosing what I do and don’t want on there! Also I loved the thin crust! So crispy and delicious!!! We recently got another coupon in the mail so we will definitely be back!

We stopped in the other night after a few drinks across the street at Bottlerock to celebrate some birthdays. It was getting late(about 8:45 pm), but the workers behind the counter were incredibly cheerful and nice. In fact, I want to give THEMFIVESTARS! All the individuals working were super nice and helpful. The four of us hadn’t been before, although we’d been to similar concept places, so knew the drill. They advised us to ask for the herb butter on our crusts(good call and the crust itself was excellent), and were very accommodating and helpful as the four of us were somewhat disorganized and haphazard in our topping selections(might have had something to do with the previously consumed drinks!). Personally, I went with tomato sauce, mozzarella, ricotta(add it, so creamy and delicious!), and meatballs. I said«extra meatballs» and there were a lot on there. They also serve Spindrift soda — yum! Anyway, the pizzas were reasonably priced — $ 8 a piece for individual pizzas which could work as one meal or two smaller meals if you wanted to take half home. We sat and waited — not long at all — for our pizzas and when the server brought them over, he also brought a cinnamon dessert pizza and said it was for my friend’s birthday — they’d been paying attention and it was on the house! So awesome! While paying I’d asked how late they were usually open and the young man working the register shared their usual hours and that they’d be closing that night at 9:30, but at 9:40, we were still sitting there, chatting and eating and oblivious to the time. No one bothered us or asked us to leave. They were so polite and as soon as I realized we’d overstayed our welcome, I said«hey, we have to go, they need to close up and get home!» Oh, and by the way, also want to mention, the place was super clean, including the restroom. Basically, the pizza was great, from the crust to the toppings. I really enjoyed it. But what made our visit spectacular was the excellent service — kudos to all the employees, and thank you!

Does Culver City really need yet another Italian/Pizza joint? Not really, but we definitely welcome a high-quality fast-casual resto. Just like Subway & Chipotle popularized customized sandwiches & burritos, Pieology takes pizza to the faux-gourmet phase. I really enjoy the concept of choosing a pre-idealized pizza or fully customizing a pie for yourself. Order at the counter, and they’ll bring the food to your selected table. One pie is def enough for most people. And for around $ 8 it’s a great deal too. Even the wife likes it!

Saw that they were opening a new make-your-own pizza shop in DT Culver. Tried take out last night with my roommate, service was quick and the workers were friendly. My pizza maker was attentive and made sure I had everything I wanted on the pizza. They had diced chicken which i prefer than crumbled chicken at Pizza Rev. I left feeling pretty satisfied with the establishment and their service. However, when I got home and was ready to eat, I realized my pizza wasn’t cut! HUGE disappointment to someone who expected to eat right away, had to use a knife and fork to cut and eat. I got the Smokin’ Buffalo Chicken pizza with red onions and jalapenos added, but they weren’t needed as their buffalo sauce is already pretty spicy. I do like their crust though — a very thin crust. Overall, the pizza was ok. Honestly, the finished product did not look that appetizing(pls see attached photo). This place is not enough for me to crave and go back, but maybe I’ll give it another chance someday.
