I don’t understand how you mess up every single item in an order. One or two things, sure — there’s confusion in the kitchen. But every single thing we ordered was ill-prepared, bad tasting, and incorrect. Our Margherita pizza didn’t have any cheese or basil. It was burnt at the crust and yet, somehow, undercooked. Our chicken caprese sandwich was soggy on the bottom and the chicken was practically non-existent it was so paper thin. But the best bit of all was the Tagliatelle con Fungi which was bland and came with a medium length hair nestled on top as a garnish. Talk about disappointed. We immediately ordered Wingstop and put in an email to Postmates to have it refunded. Don’t make our mistake. Avoid!

This place is very authentic. The ingredients are very fresh as is usually the case with traditional Italian joints. The service, décor and ambiance are average. So if you come here you are coming for the quality and the reasonable pricing. We started with the pizza guiditta. It’s very thin with fresh arugula mozerella and tomatoes. Highly reccomend it. Next we had the gnocchi spinaci. The dish highly relies on the flavors in the actual pasta rather than the sauce which I believe is as it should be. I don’t wanna downplay the sauce as it was terrific but the gnocchi doesn’t hide behind it as you typically might find elsewhere. Finally we had the chicken scaloppini which again was great. We had it with the mushroom crème sauce which was a little too creamy for my taste. Next time I think I will have it with the lemon sauce. We has gelato for desert(yumm!!!) My favorite in order are as follows: hazelnut, crema caramel, cappuccino We ordered over 2 drinks per person and still walked away paying less than $ 50/person so this place truly is very well priced… I’ll def be coming again!

Before talking about the food or ambience, it has to be said that this place is a great value for what you’re getting. We had two bottles of perrier, a beer, two appetizers, two pizzas and a dessert for $ 63. This kind of price is almost unheard of at a nice, sit-down restaurant in LA. The restaurant itself is in a cute part of Culver City. Very downtown walking mall, surrounded by a movie theater, a quaint and beautiful hotel and a few other restaurants. We made a reservation for 6:30 and it was already bustling when we arrived. We had to wait a few minutes for a table and then ended up sitting in their covered/heated outside area, since it was available first and we were starved. I tend to get particularly cold so I kept my(winter) coat on the entire meal. I’d have preferred to sit inside, but I think for most other people it was fine, judging by the amount of people sitting outside without their coats. Onto the food… it was good. Certainly solid for the price but definitely not the best Italian we’ve ever had. We split: — Verdura alla Griglia — Essentially a few different grilled vegetables(eggplant, peppers, onion) with shaved parmesan in the middle of the plate and balsamic slightly sprayed over the dish. This was just okay. Not a huge amount of flavor, and the vegetables certainly could have used a bit more salt, pepper, olive oil and balsamic. It’s nice to have a simple dish, but you’d still like it to have a bit more flavor. — Funghi Ripieni — This definitely had more flavor. Pretty typical stuffed mushroom with sautéed mini mushrooms on the side. Quite good, not overwhelming flavor but certainly a more satisfying bite than the plain grilled vegetables. — Carciofi Pizza — This was a pretty basic pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, artichoke and we added mushroom. We went with the waiter’s suggestion here and regretted it a bit. It was very cheesy without enough veggies to really be satisfying. Also a bit oily, but bonus points for being thin crust. I had three small slices and my fiancé had four — so a fair-sized pizza. If we were to do it again we’d order the marinara pizza without cheese and more veggies to get some more flavor and less of the overwhelming cheese. — Nutella Pie — Very basic. Good nutella flavor, tasted like the inside of a Ferrero Roche chocolate, which is a very good thing in my book. But the crust was very hard and not easy to cut into. Would have been better warm with a scoop of ice cream. The thing is they don’t have a pre-packaged dessert menu, instead, you go up to the counter and order what looks good to you. Just okay and not quite as decadent as a usual chocolate dessert. The third person we were with had a pizza with arugula and a big ball of burrata cheese in the middle, which he spread over the pizza. He seemed to enjoy it, but we didn’t try this one. He also had the beer. Overall service was pretty friendly and relatively quick, even considering how busy they were. Would go back but wouldn’t run back.

I tried EnjoEAT Espresso & Classico for lunch a couple of days ago while working in Culver City. EnjoEAT Espresso & Classico is located in downtown Culver City, hidden in a corner on a small street ahead of ArcLight Cinemas. At the peak lunch hour the inside restaurant was pretty full so I decided to take a table on the outside patio. After going through the long menu I decided to get one of their Eatalian Pizza’s. I asked my server for a recommendation but he was completely clueless. At-least he was up-front about it and did not give me attitude but went in and asked around. Anyway after going through the options I went with the EnjoEat Eatalian Pizza($ 15.75). This basically contains bresaola(Italian air dried salted beef), arugula, and shaved Parmigiano Reggiano as I had not seen this combination at other Italian restaurants. I also got a large Moretti la Rossa($ 6) beer to go with the pizza. As expected I was started off on the complimentary bread and dipping sauce. The bread was not perfectly toasted so it felt a little chewy and the dipping sauce was just plain bad. After about 10 minutes or so I was served the pizza and the beer, so no complaints with the service timing. The pizza was a bit too thin and crispy for my taste. It almost felt like eating a crisped up flatbread with toppings. The bresola, arugula and shaved Parmigiano Reggiano saved the day making the pizza edible. The Moretti la Rossa was excellent. It is basically a doppelbock with a strong malt flavor yet has a slightly bitter finish that paired very well with the pizza. Price-wise it was in-line with what you will pay in other Italian restaurants for a similar hand made pizza. Overall I liked what I ate and was happy to try out bresaola which I’ve not seen in other restaurants, but I guess next time I’ll probably stick with one of their traditional pizza’s. Another place that I’d rate as 3.5 stars that have been rounded up to 4.

Customer service here is every bit of a 10. However the food did not make the cut. Most of the menu consist of bacon in their dishes in which left me with not many options. So I ordered the margarita pizza and spinach gnocchi. It was nothing to run home and tell mama about. Sauce on the gnocchi had a weird thick texture leaving me with a artificial generic taste. Best thing here was the bread and sauce that is given upon your arrival.

Tagliatelle ragu! EnjoEat is a hip and modern take on italian food. The tagliatelle was very fresh and tasty. Our party came by on a Saturday night to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Around 6pm, the place was pretty vacant but after devouring a few slices of bread, i realized the place got crowded fast. We family styled a bunch of dishes and I have to say the mushroom ravioli that was their special that night was simply the best ravioli I’ve ever tasted! The other items were a-okay I would say. The mushroom risotto could have a bolder taste, and the other seafood pastas didnt hit home the way other restaurants I’ve ventured in have. I also didnt really like their basalmic to dip with the bread. The consistency was very syrupy. which feels more like a glaze than a dipping sauce for my bread.

Linguine scoglino generous amount of oysters, mussels, fish, calamari, octopus, shrimp — def a seafood lovers dish(which I am!) $ 20 although fish seemed a little overlooked Carbonara was also very tasty and didn’t feel too heavy for a creamy pasta like some other places. Had a nice smokey kick to it. Overall good portion but could have used a little more meat. $ 13 Fresh bread baskets and a country/salsa like salsa… I have no idea what it was or how to describe it but it was tangy and refreshing. Nice change from the olive oil or butter. Strawberry gelato — tangy and tasted like real fresh strawberries. Salted caramel gelato was also tasty. $ 4 — medium size, def shareable for 2 people Parking — we found street parking right away, but we probably got lucky Service — quick and friendly Def want to come back to try to pizza — it looked Devine

Unilocal challenge 2016(5⁄100) I have tried the other two Eatalians in Gardena, and finally tried the last out of the three! The foods pretty much the same at EATalian, exEAT, and enjoEAT. This one is my second favorite overall. But I have to say this one is the nicest and cleanest. A perfect place for a date! This place also has the BEST fresh bread and it comes with a red pepper bruschetta. The other ones don’t have this. As like the other two, I recommend the Linguini and Clams, Carbonara, Spinach Ravioli, and the Rock pizza! The gelato bar is in the other room. Has a good amount of flavors but not as much. I noticed they had Banana, which I’ve never saw at the other ones. I made myself a hazelnut and banana gelato! Service was really good here also. I still can’t get over the square toilets and rectangular sink. Lol I also noticed that the women’s bathroom sign is a triangle and the men’s is a circle. I got really confused.

Love their food! We reserve this place for special occasions or for when we’re celebrating something because it’s such a treat to come, the waiters are all wonderful and ALL the food is delicious. Their Barramundi is my personal favorite but their seared Ahi(in the photo) is great too, and so is their pizza and chicken. Oh and can’t forget the gelato to top it off. I haven’t tried their pastries and cakes but they look beautiful and tasty too. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

I don’t know what happened with my food, I was expecting a lot based on the photos and reviews here. The restaurant itself is nice and has an outdoor seating area, but we ordered togo so can’t comment on the in place experience. I’d just had Italian the week before elsewhere and enjoeat paled in comparison. My pasta was soaked with too much oil and very heavy. The bread wasn’t very good either. I’ll chalk it up to a bad day and maybe blame it on the togo

Can I just say that this restaurant has a really odd name? Kind of a terrible name, actually… The food and place itself was 3.5 stars. I dumped a ton of parm on my penne, and it was good after that. Pasta itself was done perfectly al dente. The shrimp were cooked very nicely. Vegetable plate was just average, I needed more balsamico on everything. My friend’s gnocchi was pretty good, very fluffy. She was into it. Our server was very nice. If you’re in the area and you need to eat at a place with a weird name, try it out.

CARBLOADING!!! Ran several miles and straight into a restaurant. The meal was well deserved! I’ve ran/walk/drove by this place almost daily and wondered what the food would taste like. The place is very clean and cute and cozy place. The service was impeccable. I appreciated how nobody was judging me with my workout clothes and sweaty forehead and was treated as a customer should be treated. I had one goal here, carb load. It was the end of my 17.65 mile, last leg 5k run and will be running a marathon days later. The owner was kind enough to go over the menu letting me know of their top selections, their healthy selections, etc. Spaghetti Amatriciana($ 12) — spaghetti with tomato sauce, onion, and bacon. This caught my eye because I never had spaghetti with BACON in it before. The presentation lacked when compared to the pictures seen on Unilocal of the same dish. I was hoping for a pretty plate but didn’t get it. However, the taste was really good. The noodles were Al Dente. The sauce was perfect. And the bacon in my spaghetti was SO delicious. Highly recommend!!! Until the next review…

I came here with friends for a Sunday night dinner. Thank goodness we arrived early, around 5:30. The place filled up by 6pm. The bread comes to the table in a cute paper basket with their homemade red and yellow pepper tapinade.. All the food that left the kitchen, pizza oven to the tables looked and smelled so good. Visual temptations makes for a difficult decision when it came to order. Two of us decided to share the grilled vegetables and the mushroom risotto. The grilled vegetables were really tasty with zucchini, eggplant, onions, and more. The mushroom risotto was rich, tasty and filling, so I am glad I shared this dish because I wanted to save room for the gelato! I got up and walked next door to sample them before deciding on the panacotta and pistacho. The service was very attentive. I look forward to coming here again and again. OH, the parking is not easy. You can only park on Van Buren. Good luck.

This place is great, period. I frequented their other location, Eatalian, in Gardena. They make the most authentic tasting Italian pizza, it reminds me of Italy. It’s all in the ingredients. My folks had their spaghetti vongole(with clams) and I had the pizza with burrata, prosciutto and arugula(my fave!) The staff are super nice. We will definitely return!

I can’t believe I’m just now discovering this place. Excellent pasta dishes. Great desserts. Service was a bit slow but it’s worth the wait to get the food out. Nice ambiance to have a relaxing meal. I tried the classic carbonara and it was delicious. Hubby tried their steak special and he devoured it faster than I could finish my fish. Our daughter had their kids pasta with Alfredo sauce(choice of pasta or pizza for kids menu) and she enjoyed her food. The gelato was fresh and flavorful. We will be back to this neighborhood gem.

I have stumbled into a serious hidden gem… literally, hidden behind the movie theater in downtown culver city. This year-old Italian place definitely has shining qualities that will bring me back. Personal pizzas: exceptionally thin crust that is delicate, pliable, but not soggy. The sauce and cheese goes all the way up the crust and it came out hot and gooey. Spaghetti w meat sauce: some of the best I’ve had in town. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce reminded me of something an old Italian neighbor made-meaty, thick, not watery, but perfectly covering the pasta. I’m very picky with pasta sauce and this is my new go-to! Ribeye special: nice cookery with a great crust. Came sliced but in the shape of the steak. The poached egg was salted(great attention to detail) but, unfortunately the side of asparagus that is meant to pair with the egg was boiled and, therefore, mushy. Overall, a great concept and good steak… just in need of a tweak. Butternut squash ravioli: house-made, sweet, slight taste of cinnamon. The pasta was decent, maybe a touch thick but not noticeable by many. Overall, the service was friendly, attentive, and quick. Water was refilled multiple times and all staff had a smile. I called for a reservation and noticed that the table had been set and was waiting for us upon arrival. The manager came by to say a few words and greeted me by name… a wonderfully welcoming personal touch. Prices are mid-range so I should suggest that they upgrade to cloth napkins just to add a touch of elegance to what already is a promising start. Similarly, upgrading the tables and chairs to full wood would definitely round out the experience and make it feel a bit more upscale. I definitely suggest trying them out for pizza, pasta, and gelato. I will be back.

For now 4 stars! …Just had a glass of wine and a seafood brothy dish(tomato based) — loaded with seafood. And a lil gelato. I’ll have to come back for their pizza. Great wine, delicious flavors in the seafood dish and the gelato– fantastic Here’s what I observed: Owner: Crazy Italian. In a good way. I only came in to look at the menu but his personality had me staying for a bit. Clean: Like whoa. Important detail to me. Every corner, even way up on the glass– I practically walked into it. The plastic on the outside patio-immaculate. Freakyily clean. Restroom, spotless. And with a square toilet? And rectangular sink. Service: Excellant Seating: Comfortable inside and out. I live in CC and EnjoEAT has been here for a year in a half. Sad. It’s hidden away in the back alley… where they did tons of filming back in the day. I love Italian so I’m looking forward to trying to coming back for pasta and pizza. My first impression was great. I’ll be sure to update after trying more menu items. I feel like owner needs to advertise since it’s not easily seen in DTCC. Maybe a Unilocal Event as well?

A couple of my girlfriends and I decided to have dinner here after seeing a groupon deal for this place. The deal was to spend $ 44 and get $ 70 worth of food. UM, such a steaaaal! Especially seeing how many good reviews this place already had. We made a reservation for a Tuesday night but there was plenty of room with a couple of other groups having dinner. We decided to each get something different and share all our orders so everyone got a good sense of the food. Here’s what we ordered: Spaghetti Carbonara: egg and Parmigiano Reggiano white sauce tossed with crispy bacon, finished with ground black pepper — I really liked this pasta more than the penne because the pasta was cooked to al dente perfection. Most Carbonaras are HEAVY with cream and are those type of pastas that definitely make you feel a little guilty after eating it but this one was not. The sauce to pasta ratio was perfect and the crispy bacon gave it a nice bite and pop of saltiness. Penne con Gamberi: penne with shrimp, cherry tomatoes, Italian Parsley, cream — Really flavorful and creamy, but didn’t feel heavy like some creamy pastas I’ve. It had a good amount of shrimps for everyone that were definitely a decent size. Good but something I wouldn’t get again. Prosciutto Crudo: tomato sauce, mozzarella, Prosciutto di Parma — So simple, yet so amazing. One bite and I felt like I was in Italy again. That’s how a pizza is supposed to taste! The quality of the ingredients were top notch and the crust was cooked to perfection. I can seriously eat this pizza all day! Risotto(de Mare?): Not sure which one we got but it definitely isn’t the one on their online menu. It had way more than the Risotto Gamberetti which includes: risotto with shrimp, saffron, and arugula. Ours had some mussels and clams too! BYFARMYFAVORITEDISH! I was pretty full from the pizza and pastas by the time they brought this out(note: risotto always takes a bit as they need to cook it upon order) and my eyes were still rolling back. It was delicious! Packed with flavor and a nice kick. To me, the risotto and amount of seafood added in was perfect. The clams and mussels were also cooked just right! For Dessert we got the Affogato and house cake. How can you go wrong with Affogato? YOUCANNOT! It’s gelato ice cream with espresso poured on top. Yes please! The house cake was good but very decadent. Glad we shared because I probably wouldn’t have been able to finish it alone. Lastly, the service. This is what really took my rating to the next star up as yes, the food was good, but the service was even better. Our server, Patrick, really took care of us. He was attentive but not overbearing, funny, and recommended some of the dishes we really enjoyed. He even introduced me to a wine that I liked very much. I had originally ordered a Chianti but he said that he had something better, which was the Barbera. YES, a new favorite! Overall, it was a great experience with fantastic food. Definitely returning!

Haven’t had Italian in awhile — the boyfriend found this place on Unilocal after our short hike in the city. Located behind the movie theater and on the same street as an elementary school, this small little restaurant is a hidden gem! It is definitely easy to miss if you have no idea what you are looking for. PARKING Since this restaurant is located close to an elementary school, there are many restrictions. You can park on the street, but be mindful and read the signs designating what day and how long you can park. We parked further down the street from the elementary school and walked a short distance to the restaurant. INTERIOR/EXTERIOR Cute place! They have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. We arrived for lunch, and didn’t mind where we sat. The man greeted us and seated us inside. He probably the manager or owner — he dressed nicer than the other staff. White walls and bright lighting created a peaceful dining experience. They have a partially open kitchen where you can see the chefs working if you look over. The dining room is connected to the café next door with bakeries and desserts. The interior is just very pretty. Restrooms are clean — thought their flat faucet and square toilets were unique. While Unilocal says casual for the restaurant, we felt a little too casual. I was wearing a sweater and leggings and the boyfriend was wearing a t-shirt and basketball shorts after our hike — we felt a little under dressed. MENU The boyfriend ordered the Penne con Gamberi which is penne pasta with shrimp, cherry tomato, and parsley. His dish came smelling delicious — the texture of the penne was perfect — not overcooked and soggy or under cooked and too firm. I wanted to stray away from my favorite pastas and tried the Tortelli Verdi — ravioli stuffed with spinach, ricotta, and bacon. While good, I wasn’t a fan of the ricotta stuffing and I could not taste the bacon at all. We also ordered a lemonade that was light and refreshing and came with refills! At the end of the meal, we hopped over to the café and sampled their gelato! We ended up ordering a medium size gelato with two flavors. We opted for the fruity options of peach and strawberry. Both were dairy-free and tasted much like sorbet. The chocolate chip we sampled was good and the grapefruit was very strong(diary-free as well). SERVICE Everyone was very nice and accommodating. We were a little unsure about how ordering desserts worked, considering it was our first time. The owner/manger guy advised us to head to their café to sample the gelato, and the lady working there was very nice. The only issue with this visit — I felt a little uncomfortable after drinking most of my iced water and noticed little mysterious bits of unknown clear particles floating inside. I thought it was just my cup but the boyfriend’s water had it too.
