Shear Expression

I love Shear Expression! Ida has been my stylist for 20 years. Not only does she have a wonderful sense of style, Ida is so warm and personable.

Ida is a hidden treasure. My friend’s (curly) hair always looks fantastic, and she told me about Ida and Shear Expression. I can not over-​emphasize how pleased I am with finally finding someone who knows what she is doing and does it so naturally. The products she uses are gentle on my hair and it becomes better conditioned every time I go. Highly recommended! Appointments are necessary as she fills up quickly.

For being so busy all the time, Ida takes the time to make sure you walk out of this place looking good.
Since she is the only one working there, the cozy shop is always uncluttered and you can take your time to get what you really want. Highly recommended!

Fantastic little hole in the wall family run business. It’s no wonder to me that Ida keeps herself busy, she is so attentive to her customers.
The salon is packed with little personal touches and there are endless things to start up a conversation about no matter what your interests are just sitting right there for your eyes to wander over while she bustles around making fresh coffee for someone who just walked through the door, or making sure you can find a magazine that holds your interests (really is something for everyone, it’s not just beauty magazines around the chic leather couches.
She is very confident with what she is doing when styling your hair too, and works her way to the final product in stages rather than lopping lots off at once, to give you a change to see where she’s headed, and to say ‘WHEN!’ if you initially told her you wanted something more… drastic… that you ACTually way.
She has a busy calender though, you’ll have to schedule yourself well in advance if you want to stumble on this great little shop for a great little hair style.
