Titos Tacos beef, lettuce with cheese are delicious. They taste like homemade ones my family makes. However I don’t think it’s worth extra for cheese. They need to put MORECHEESE to really make it worth your while for paying specifically for a «cheese taco». The lines are long, but the one who takes your order makes your order too. So it takes some time. Really expected better salsa.(Very bland) husband had tried the Chile con Carne(comes in a cup) we thought it was a burrito… surprised he didn’t like it(he usually likes everything!) I live in orange county, we happen to be in LA. Titos is good. But not good enough to just drive to have lunch here.

Titos tacos are good and worth the drive in my opinion. Im taking a star off because I don’t like the wait its crazy! After getting thru traffic just to get there you still have to wait in a long line. Doesn’t matter if you’re eating there or getting it to go expect to wait. Overall the tacos and burritos are good so if you haven’t tried it definitely is a must.

Uhhh, I was actually super excited to try Tito’s Tacos since I have driven past it for almost 2-years now and there is always a super long line! A place with a consistently long line has got to be delicious right? Plus, it’s the most popular reviewed taco joint on the west side. Soooo, we get in line and there are about 5 – 6 people ahead of us. It’s freezing but luckily I brought my down winter puffer coat. Thank goodness!!! I don’t know what everyone else was doing in the 40 degree weather with strong winds. 30-minutes later and we fiiinally have our order. They were out of enchiladas both beef and chicken. They did not know the difference between flour and corn tortillas(not helpful if you are gluten-free). What’s wrong here is that after each person orders, the different cashier(each time) goes to personally make and deliver your order so there is no typical assembly line because each employee is a cashier, cook, and food deliverer. It’s great for employees with this process but if you’re a customer you’re gonna need a whoooole lot of patience. Which seems to work for Tito’s since I did not(strangely) hear any customers complaining. The food was so average and nothing was good or special that it’s really nothing to talk about. It tasted like any other alright greasy Mexican food. For special breakfast burritos and bestest Mexican food, I’d trek to Alertos or J&S in Montebello, loove those place which are also SUPER popular but just about a 5 – 10 minute wait.

Tito’s Tacos is a major need for everyone local and anyone coming to Los Angeles. This was a «go to» comfort food in college for me and is still a «go to» comfort food when you have a long day at work. The lines may be long at times but the tacos and burritos are worth it!!! When you come from a Mexican background, you sometimes want the comforts of home and your mother’s cooking but that isn’t possible when mom lives +2hrs away… Tito’s is at max a 30 minute wait and then you are biting into a taco half filled with cheese! What more could you ask for in life!!! I would say on average, my girlfriend and I go to Tito’s Tacos 4x in a month and plan to go more if we could. The price is great and the food is even better. Recommend to anyone!!! :)

*** CASHONLY *** I got one word for Tito’s Tacos — overrated. Tito’s Tacos(found in 1959) was ranked #8 in the Daily Meal’s America’s 75 Best Tacos( ) and it is definitely a local favorite in the Culver City neighborhood. Parking was awful — there were so many customers here that its parking lot was completely jammed. I had to drive around the block and ultimately found a parking meter on Sepulveda Blvd(free after 6PM). Menu: Very simple. Tito’s taco(cheese or no cheese), burrito, tamale(beef or chicken), enchilada, tostada, chili con carne, chili bean, rice, refried bean, and guacamole. Yup, that’s all. And most importantly — NOHORCHATA. NOCARNESASADA. And you know what you’ll find instead? THISPLACESELLSMILKANDCOFFEE! ALWAYS expect long waiting lines(tip: you don’t have to wait outside — you’ll find separate lines INSIDE the shop). The waiting line moved pretty slowly and I had to wait about 15~20 minutes. Each order comes with complimentary chips + red salsa(you can also request for green jalapeño salsa). Red salsa tasted somewhat decent and a bit spicy(C+/B-), but it still lacked the wow factor. *** Tito’s Taco(shredded beef, grated cheddar cheese & sliced iceberg lettuce within a freshly cooked corn taco shell, $ 2.10): Dry hard shell beef taco beef — very boring, bland, and below average.(2⁄5) Enchilada(top quality cheddar cheese wrapped in a corn tortilla and drenched in flavorful enchilada sauce, $ 2.95): Definitely way better than taco — cheese and enchilada sauce infused together and gave a pretty good flavor. Was it good enough to wait in line? Not really.(3.5÷5) *** I’ll admit that it is a cheap eat In Culver City, but once you start to consider the long waiting line & horrible parking just for some pedestrian food … it becomes more of a hassle than anything else. Personally Guisados, Ricky’s Fish Tacos, and Tacos Baja Ensenada still serve some of the best tacos in SoCal and honestly even King Taco is better than Tito’s Tacos. I fail to see why people are waiting in line for their tacos and I am 99% sure that I won’t be coming back here again.

It is true that the only thing better than a Tito’s Taco is 2! Only real downside to Tito’s is parking can be a nightmare(plan on trying to find street parking) and because there are always crowds, finding seating can also be very difficult. More often than not, I tackle both of these issues by being dropped off, ordering, picking up the food, then taking it somewhere else & enjoying it there. With that said, if you’re in the area, you HAVETO visit Tito’s. You won’t regret it.

So, if you go to NY, you have to have a slice of pizza, and if you go to the Jersey shore, get salt water taffy. So, if in LA, tacos! Tito’s is located on the west side(Culver City) and it is a no frills type of place. Think of Pink’s hot dogs for tacos. There is always a line, and just an fyi, there are lines both inside and outside of Tito’s, and there is always a line, although things move quick here and so in about five minutes or so, you can order. First, you order, and then step to the side, and remember your order. You don’t get a ticket number or anything like that, and from the same window that you ordered, when the box comes, they shout out what’s in it, and if its yours, get your box, and pay for it. Doesn’t sound organized, but surprisingly, it is. Now, for the tacos. Yes, they are out of this world! Simple, and yet, probably the best tacos I’ve had. The meat is tasty, cheese(cheddar) is freshly grated, and the tacos is crunchy. Overall, a great taco, and I was there yesterday, and almost made the trip up again today. Definitely a go to spot for me from now on.

Time for an update! Tito’s is still great. The end. Just kidding! But really! It is still great! The tacos are still the best thing they have. I tried the enchilada today and it was very cheesey but it wasn’t melted all the way. I just didn’t care for it. My husband got the Tostada and it has really heavy on the refried beans. It was a bit over powering for us. The salsa is still like crack with the chips. I got the bean and cheese burrito once and that was good if you put some salsa on it. I took it home and it was amazing with some hot sauce! Friendly reminder– CASHONLY! Poopy parking as well! Hope you have a back up camera and patience!

Since Tito’s was on my way home from my DMV appointment, I decided to stop by Tito’s and buy take out(we normally just eat there). Whenever I am in the area, I always try to come to Tito’s. I have tried just about everything on the menu and they are all pretty good. However, my favorite is their tacos(i guess that’s why they call it Tito’s Tacos not burritos. LOL). We have been coming to Tito’s Taco forever, and we love it here. However, I think Tito’s is one of those place where if you love a ton of garlic and onions then you may think this place is too bland. Tito’s tacos are simply just meat & lettuce in a hard shell(no onions). If you like, you can add cheese for about a $ 1 extra. What makes Tito’s taco really come alive is their sauces! You want to buy extra salsa(no onions and it’s unbelievably tasty), guac or jalapeño sauces and just drench your tacos in them literally! My favorite is the salsa, so we always buy extra large salsa. We took home 6 tacos(comes with 1 medium salsa and free tortilla chips) &1 large salsa. Total came to $ 17.30. Remember it’s cash only, but the price is so reasonable that for sure it won’t break your bank. So Unilocalers, if you’re in the neighborhood, do stop by. Make sure you order a ton of their sauces. It’s mouth watering just thinking about it. Oh how YUMZY!

Took me a minute to get with the program but the tacos here are pretty good. Served crunchy and with chips. 2.00 with lettuce 2.70 if you want cheese. Only thing I don’t get is the extra 70 cents for cheese– seems a bit much for a taco amount of cheese, and the 1.40 for guacamole– that looks like pea soup :-\ I’ve eaten here quite a few times and the lines can get long, so just be prepared for it.

Let’s begin by stating that this is not authentic Mexican food. Moving forward, Tito’s is in a great location. It’s on the intersection of major cross streets and right off the freeway so it’s pretty hard to miss. They have their own private parking lot and street parking as well, so finding a spot won’t be hard. Tito’s has an outdoor ordering window and indoor ordering window as well. Oh, they only take cash! They have an atm but then there are atm fees. Prices are decent. And the food is pretty basic; tacos, burritos, tamales, chips. Once you’ve ordered you pretty much stand next to the window until they call you to pay. Doesn’t take long. You have the options of indoor/outdoor/take out. Food is good but like I said not authentic. Hope this helps. Follow me @foodgurula

For sure good and worth checking out, but by no means the best tacos ever. Service was excellent, we came right after opening and the line was manageable, score! They have been doing this for years, so its fun to watch the prepare the food, you order and wait for them to make it, done in a few minutes, tops. Free chips and a huge jar of salsa with every order, more then generous, and some of the tastiest tortilla chips I have had in awhile. The red sauce very bland, but fantastic when mixed with the green which is quite spicy on its own. No options on the meat, all of it is shredded beef, my last protein of choice, but it was tasty and once loaded with meat and salsa and the crispy tortilla, it all went together well. Not something I would crave all the time, as I prefer other proteins and more menu options, but very much worth checking out at least once!

ALLOFYOUARECRAZY!!! This place is running on Angelino nostalgia. It’s horrible and so overhyped. The chips were flavorless, the quac is a cream, I’ve had better frozen burritos and the tacos are mediocre at best. What is the hype about?! Im not sure if I’ve ever been so disappointed by a place.

The Breakdown as usual, good, bad, and ugly; The Good: easy menu, tacos, burritos, and tamales. Boom, that’s it! Ok, not quite it but it’s just the basics. Nothing fancy at all. They have mastered the mix of awesome and deliciousness at a reasonably good price. The bad: maybe a little overpriced for some tacos… even if they are really good. But it’s not too high to stop me from some tacos! The ugly: parking is a nightmare… seriously…at least it is during peak lunch/dinner hours. There is street parking but it is metered… Overall, it’s a must try it and taste it to believe it. Another place I recommend to all my fellow Unilocalers and friends!

Its been quite some time since I have written a review about Tito’s! On my way out of LA this past Sunday, I decided that my final meal would be some tacos. When done right, there is no better taco in the land. I got there pretty early(9:45am…they open at 10:00am), was about 10th in line, and waited patiently until they opened the doors. I made it up to the counter and placed my order for 4 tacos with cheese, and a large Pepsi. Total was just under $ 13.00. Handed the lady my money and she handed me my cardboard box full of goodies. Here is how they were… Tacos– Like I have said before, when done right, there are no better tacos than Tito’s. If I was on my deathbed and could only choose to eat one last taco before I died, it would be a Tito’s hard shelled beef taco. I’ve had some run ins with not so fresh tacos, and some«stomach issues» from eating Tito’s before. I keep coming back though because when you get a «good» batch, its damn near a religious experience! I am glad to report that this past Sunday, they may have been the best Tito’s tacos I have ever had in my 20 years going there. I got there right when they opened, so the tacos were incredibly fresh and piping hot! The meat was hot, the shells were still warm and crispy, the lettuce was cold and crisp and the mound of cheese on each taco was awesome! Couldn’t have asked for a better taco. I regret not ordering 6 of them. Yes… I could have ate 6. Every meal also comes with free chips and salsa. Their chips are nice and big and super crunchy. Their salsa is a little bit watery, but it works well with their style of food. You can also order guacamole or a side of chopped jalapeño peppers to spice things up. Tito’s doesn’t get love from lots of folks. That is fine. Less people in line for when I have to order. I hope this place stays here forever because when a hard shelled beef taco craving hits, this is THE spot to go to! It’s an LA institution and everyone should try it out at least once.

The last time I had Titos I worked in DTLA(3 yrs ago). My producers and I chipped in $ 20 to feed the entire office. I proceeded to eat 6 tacos, experienced a terrible stomach ache, and regretted ever hearing about this place. However, after a heavy night of drinking, I was in the area. Titos is located on Washington at Sepulveda in Culver City, right next door to the venerable Johnny Pastrami. I ordered two #55($ 2.97/each — ground beef hard tacos). On the side is complimentary zanhorias y pimentos(carrots & peppers). The tacos were pretty good. Although the shells were fried, they were not that greasy. In addition, they were good sized. The only downside was the price: 4 Stars. On the other hand, the carrots & peppers were just OK. I was expecting more heat: 3 Stars. Regarding the ambiance, the place is clean for a fast food joint. Plus, there are a ton of items on the menu inc hamburgers, hot dogs, and menudo: 4 Stars. The service was OK. The order took a while although it was not crowded: 3 Stars. Titos is one of those iconic late night LA places like Johnny Pastrami, Pinks Hot Dog and Tommy Burger. The quality is consistent, and the food is good. I’d come here before the ever popular King Taco fo shua!

My family has been eating at Tito’s since I was a little girl. It has always been a little hole in the wall taco spot on this corner, with horrible parking, cheap prices, long lines, and good food. The menu is simple and straight to the point. No frills, no gimmicks, just plain olé basic tacos and burritos mostly. Tito’s is a nice drive from where my family and I live. Somehow we don’t complain when we make that trek for tacos. It’s something about that shredded beef and cheddar cheese that doesn’t seem to melt on top! Lol. Though I no longer eat meat, I do believe the food was much better years ago before it changed. Prices have gone up, but are still reasonable. Chips and salsa are the !!! You can never eat just one [chip]. If you’re looking for basic Mexican food, a simply menu, and reasonable prices, Tito’s is your place. It can add up so bring plenty of cash. No checks or cards are allowed! And if you happen to forget your cash, there is an ATM right next to the windows that will remind you what to do before ordering. G et cash!!!

ONLYORDERTACOS and you will be a fan. They are simple, yet delicious! Tasty hard taco shell with just a few ingredients(meat, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese), but so, so satisfying! Two of these and you’ll be so, so in bliss. I can’t stop eating their fresh chips. Something about them in the simple salsa(it’s mostly tomatoes, not spicy) makes them addictive to me. DONOTORDERTHEBORINGBURRITO — it’s literally just beans and meat, it’s slop wrapped in a tortilla. And the guacamole is literally poured out of a water pitcher, it’s that thin and runny. Horrible! But if you order their namesake(the taco), it’s an awesome experience! Tito’s is where the city comes together — you will see in line construction workers, suits, gang bangers, moms with toddlers. Everyone gets along, because everyone is just here for the tasty tacos!

I LOOOOOVE Tito’s Tacos! I was introduced to it last year and ever since then, I’ve been going here religiously whenever I’m in the area. Parking here may be difficult depending on the day and time you go. There’s usually parking under the bridge. You just have to jay walk to cross. I highly suggest getting Tito’s Tacos with cheese! There’s something about their tacos here that make it flavorful than the other tacos I’ve ever had. What’s awesome is that they include an abundance of chips and salsa with your order. I also get the chicken tamale which is great too! Be careful, lines here may be long and finding a seat may be difficult.
