Another great stop at the Cumberland Roy Rogers. We live in DC and don’t get to enjoy Roy’s at home. We always stop here on the way to Deep Creek for Double R Bar Burgers and fried chicken. Tasty Pardner!

We really never review fast foo restaurants, simply because many(whether they’re good or not) aren’t consistent enough to be worthy of the time and effort of an evaluation. But I’ve visited this particular Roy Rogers twice in my life; once in 2005 and again in October 2014 and I was IMPRESSED to see that the service, quality of food and cleanliness was the same on both visits — GREAT! They clearly take pride in working at this restaurant and it shows in the product they produce! It’s sad taht many Roy Rogers restaurants closed down years ago, as they do have a superior product, especially when compared to many of the other, typical fast food restaurants. The roast beef here is fresh from a whole round of beef, not compressed beef parts, like in some other roast beef places. The Fixin’s Bar here was nice and clean and filled with all the goodies to make your meal better and they even had a real fireplace in the lobby of the restaurant that you could sit in front of! What’s really nice is that you could talk to them in English rather than having to use a number system to place an order! It would be nice for the management of this particular restaurant to open more just like this one in the DC area!
