Good ol’ Days Bar and Grill

I love this place great lobster bisque. Clean and friendly restaurant and staff. Pool tables, Bart boards, and live music. A great place to stay celebrate or just go for a chill weekend.

I recommend this place to anyone who wants a fun night out and a great meal in Cumming. The staff are amazing and so are the people who go there. We come here at least twice a week for dinner and the food is AMAZING! Gives bar food a whole new face. Have never had a meal there we didn’t love! Come for the food, stay for the entertainment and the staff! You won’t be disappointed!

This place is freaking awesome!!! Came to Cumming for a baseball tournament from Alabama. Had ONE night to go out but not party hard. This place was PERFECT. Live band, awesome food, GREAT service, good prices and you can smoke inside! This isn’t a family place THANK GOD. They treated us out-​of-​towners VERY well.

WOW!!! This place blew me out of the water. Really fun and loving atmosphere, very down to earth owners (which is hard to find in Cumming). Great food and kick ass live music!!! If you want to have a good time and are in the area definitely stop by.

I can’t believe a local bar in Cumming has some of the best food around at reasonable prices! I have had the freshest oysters, great salads and the absolute best Chicken fingers around! I have been told that everything on the menu is great. THe service is good also. I’m not a bar person but I wont let that hold me back!

Walked in and turned around walked out. A SMOKER’S Heaven!!! Yuck! If you are a non-​smoker. If you are, you will not notice!

The few times we’ve been here, the food has been great, the entertainment is pretty good, and the people watching has berm awesome. Don’t waste your time at The Ridge and their microwaved food unless you want to pay an overpriced bill for mediocre food and shoddy service. For great dinner and a good time, hit Good Ol Days.

Great place! Live music, plenty of places to sit or stand, great wings, nice servers, great atmosphere if you like the unconventional :) Will definitely be back!!!

We were so disappointed, this place closed down for a while and we hadn’t been back since the re-​opening. My lovely wife used to LOVE their lobster bisque and I thought the wings were great and the staff were pretty friendly. Given that they were closed for so long (after a kitchen fire), I expected some serious remodeling but I don’t think anything changed. Oh well, I was hoping for a huge makeover but that’s okay, as long as the food and service were great; neither were.
I think I can pretty much judge almost any restaurant within the first 15 seconds… you are either promptly greeted with a smile, you are greeted with indifference or not at all… the service and food will follow the greeting.
We walked in at 8:00 pm on a Sunday after seeing a movie next door. We were not greeted, we were the confused patrons standing in the foyer wondering whether to see ourselves or not. After a minute of awkward confusion, someone yelled out for us to seat ourselves.
I knew beforehand that this place allowed smoking but man, their smoke cleaner thingies sure don’t work well.
After seating ourselves we sat for quite a while with no service. The place was about 10% full yet our server made very infrequent appearances. They screwed up my wife’s order bringing her the appetizer version of her aforementioned «favorite lobster bisque» when she ordered it as her main course; they replaced it after a while. The bisque was watery and tasteless and the 3 tiny lumps of «lobster» were almost certainly, not lobster. I ordered the wings, which I used to love, and they were warmed-​over, oily wings with no lemon, nor pepper on my lemon-​pepper wings.
So, things sucked… how could they get worse? We were double-​charged for the bisque, they never brought the to-​go box we requested and really never apologized for the crappy everything.
BTW, someone who seemed like a manager stopped by occasionally and seemed clueless altogether. In fact, this guy brought the first, incorrect order of bisque to our table, wheeled away and tried to give it to another table, then actually counted out the table numbers to finally come back to us… with the wrong order.
Before they temporarily closed, this is the place that invested a ton of money into the secret shopper program I was a part of… I ate here several times as a secret shopper and it was awesome every time. Mr/​Mrs/​Ms. manager, consider this a non-​secret, free review from a previously satisfied customer.

It is what it is — a fun place to drink, listen to music, and the food is very good on the whole. It’s not perfect — but what is? I’d say for Cumming this place and the Summit are the best places to hang.

I went there on game day last Saturday and had a blast. Great seating and plenty of TVs. If you go, you have to try their Salmon BLT!!! It was delicious. The service was good and everyone was friendly. The drinks and food came out in a timely fashion. I would definitely go back.

I am so happy they reopened. Since everything has gotten better. The service, the food, the air quality, etc. I am working my way through the entire menu and to date all has been great with one exception being the French onion soup. Way too salty. Have mentioned it to one of the partners and he is working on it. All of the bartenders are very attentive and friendly. Checking with you periodically. All in all a great place. I am there twice a week and tell everybody how good things are. Convinced some friends to come who were reluctant because of the smoke. Told them about the smoke eaters that really do a good job. I don’t smoke and am okay there now. They couldn’t believe how much better it was inside. They will be regulars now.

I love good olé days, it’s a real bar that has really good food. Wayne is the best bartender their although they are are very good. Sunday’s are all you can eat crablegs and they are def worth the money. They do allow smoking so if that’s not your thing you might want to avoid, but the smoke eaters they have work very well. The live bands are very good as well.

This is like a country restaurant and I loved the way bikers come and hangout in that place. I had a good dinner with beer.

If you want to go in a place and walk out deaf and smelling like cigarettes this is the place. I don’t think I’ll die of cancer from one visit, but that will be the last. I think I must have checked my common sense hat at the door. As soon as the door opened smoke came rolling out. That, along with the 25 motorcycles parked out front, and the two huge security guys at the door should have been enough for me to turn around and get back in my car. But no! I did the dumb thing and went in only to be faced with poor food, bad service and eardrum breaking live music. People were even vaping in there. If this is your type of environment… head on in. I’ve warned you!

Smoky… good food, friendly service.
Love to bring my family here but I know my wife won’t go because of the heavy smoke. Too bad because this place has potential and apparently a lot of fans… mostly smokers

My husband and I have eaten here several times and it gets better each time. Food is fresh and delicious. Nothing like traditional bar food, it’s so above that level it’s surprising. The servers and bartenders are friendly, helpful with suggestions and prompt with food, refills and any request. The armosphere is awesome and they can’t be beat for live music. We have recently moved nearby and look forward to spending lots of time enjoying this awesome spot.

The burger. Tuna crisps. French onion soup. Fried mushrooms. Raw oysters.
Really anything on the menu.
Don’t let the smoking factor turn you away. They have such strong ventilation and so many «smoke eaters» that it’s not bothersome at all.

Best place to have a good time. Great music, food, and staff! If you’ve ever seen cheers, it’s kind of like that, but an Irish pub with live music.

Service was great! The bartender Kat is really attentive and nice. The food was treated with good Irish love. My friend and I stopped in for lunch and got the lunch only specialties, «the Santa Anna» and «the Vinny de paulo». It was delicious unlike big corporate chains. We then proceeded to get the martini cobbler dessert. I would visit again if I was in cumming.
Side note: this establishment is only for 21 years old and up. It’s a free smoking bar.
