I’ve eaten at Rice for years and the quality of the food has always been consistent. The volcano roll is a favorite and all of their soups are great. It’s nice to have such a variety that even includes miso. The staff are always friendly and on top of things. The only downside would be how crowded it can get since it is a smaller dining area. Overall a definite recommend.

Rice is GREAT! Their sushi is the BEST — very fresh and always delicious! Very consistent too! The wait staff knows us by name and the service is always impeccable! My favorite, local place, to eat! Unfortunately, it’s not a great place for conversation though, on the weekends especially. With all the hard surfaces in the restaurant, it gets very loud sometimes and the noise level gets quite high. :(

Awesome! Fab service — they’ll remember you by name! Service, food, cleanliness and service are always consistently great! Food is always consistently delicious! The only drawback is that when the restsurant is full to capacity, which is most nights, the noise level obstructs the ability for normal«talking» conversation.

Every time we stay with my parents we come to Rice. It never disappoints! Tonight we had the sizzling rice soup, seaweed salad and several different sushi rolls. Everything was delicious!!!

We’re regular customers here. As much as I enjoy their sushi, we don’t get it often because their prices for sushi is on the high end(we have a couple«go to» places for sushi). However, we do order regularly off their menu, and everything they make is really good. I don’t think you’ll be dissapointed with anything you order at this restaurant. The entire staff are awesome to, a major plus!

I wish this place were closer to where I live — my husband and I enjoy it quite a bit. The coconut soup is so tasty — the broth in particular. I’ve ordered two or three tuna dishes and have enjoyed each — my husband consistently orders the Perfect Storm roll and gives it a 4⁄5 rating. We also love their green tea! The only thing I wouldn’t order again would be the vegetable lo mein — it was really lacking in flavor — but it certainly wouldn’t stop me from returning! I would just order something different.

Shocked at all the rave reviews. I was there this summer, busy night but service was good. No chopsticks or wasabi/soy sauce dish without asking, but that is a small thing. Fish was fresh but razor thin, all portions were very small. I have been eating sushi for thirty years and never seen rolls so small. Beware of places that serve«all things Asian.» Sushi is Japanese not Chinese and Pad Thai is a dish from Thailand. Not saying I would never go back but to say this is a great sushi place is a stretch. I will give it another shot… maybe the end of too busy of night.

Always happy to visit Rice. Very good rolls and enough other choices for everyone. I especially like the lobster or yummi rolls.

Rice is our guilty pleasure, minus the guilt because it is oh so worth it. Went here the other day with friends closer to the end of the dinner rush so seating a party of 7 was no problem! Our server was amazing and friendly, extremely knowledgable of our dishes but to be honest he could have told me our sashimi was doused with pigs saliva and I’d still eat in in an instant. Other servers were just as friendly and did a flawless job in making our experience enjoyable and welcoming! We had the yellowtail, langoustine, red snapper, pan seared scallops, fried oysters, Uni shooters and cheesecake pastry with mango and green tea ice cream. Came here last time and tried their Kobe beef and I highly recommend trying it at least once because rarely do they have it and rarely does it last. I also recommend their peach sweet tea, like something straight out of Starbucks + free refills, and their mango ice cream! Also if you get a chance! Ask to speak to the owner, Lily! She’s very friendly and enjoys spreading her knowledge of the food to fellow food lovers! We will be looking forward to coming back! Also the new Eight restaurant in mid-town will be opening up closer to home so we cannot wait to try that.

We were told about Rice 8 months ago, and we finally went last night. Wow! We have been missing out. Rice was much more than we expected, in the best way possible. As expected on a Friday night, it was very busy. However, we were greeted and seated immediately. This was just the start of the excellent experience we had at Rice. Our drink order was taken by the person who sat us. We ordered a water and I requested to taste their sweet tea(I have a thing about sweet tea… hehe). Within a minute a glass of water and a glass with a taste of sweet tea was delivered to our table. Although, I was not a fan of the tea(it was not sweet enough… I like it really sweet), I was impressed with their effort toward fulfilling my unorthodox request. I ordered a water with extra lemon(I received a small dish of lemons, which was perfect for me). We were given a few minutes to look over the menu. Next we ordered appetizers: pan-seared gyoza(pot stickers) and vegetable spring rolls. Both dishes were hot and fresh when they were delivered within 5 minutes. We greatly enjoyed both appetizers especially the gyoza(highly recommend)! We asked about the sauces they had besides soy sauce. Our server brought out 6 different sauces for us to try. Once again this was above and beyond what was expected. They were very helpful and provided us with everything we wanted, and at this point the food was delicious! Just before our appetizers came out we ordered a Dancing Eel Roll and their specialty Rice Crunchy Chicken with steamed rice for our entrées. Our food arrived quicker than expected and the presentation was very appealing. Amazing is the word that comes to mind when describing our entrées. Typically we have leftovers, but there were none left this time around. The food was too delicious to not eat in the one sitting. If you are looking for a superb service experience and food to match, Rice is the place to go. This part of Georgia is limited in highly enjoyable restaurants, but Rice is one that stands out amongst the rest. Do yourself a favor and check out Rice!

The North Forsyth area needs more restaurants, especially with the quality and service of Rice. You would be forgiven for missing this place as you drive through Hammond’s Crossing. Or if you’d noticed it, then I wouldn’t blame you for thinking it was probably your average quality Chinese restaurant in North Georgia. I mean, why wouldn’t it be? That’s what we’ve come to expect… fried chicken in a sweet sauce with fried rice with egg rolls and soup. Well, Rice surpasses our outer Metro Area Asian expectations(please give me props for the rhyme). I’m not sure how long this place has been around, but it must be 10 years give or take. I have been coming here since the beginning. In fact, I began coming to Rice before I had any idea exactly how good it really was. Most recently, I came here for sushi. I was back home visiting family and had had my fill of fried food and biscuits… while my taste buds have no limits for these things, my body sure does. I had an eel roll, and i believe a dynamite roll. And I can never resist getting inari. All of these were excellent. In the past I’ve tried their red chicken curry, their general’s chicken and sweet and sour chicken, all of which I would recommend. This is my favorite place in the area, so I can’t possibly remember everything I’ve tried here. But I do know that I’ve never had an average meal. It’s always excellent. Also, as mentioned by other folks, the staff are very friendly and remember their guests. When my dad was there with me recently the waiter remembered two friends by name who he had been to Rice with before. It had been at least 4 or 5 years ago! Good memory when the place is always packed.

If you are ever in Cumming, Ga(yes, that is the name of the town), there can be a lack of quality food. My father and I love Japanese food/Sushi and this place is great. It is always busy but not to the point of discomfort, and the service is very efficient. I had sashimi and the Geisha role. The sashimi was fresh and delightful. The Geisha role was not my favorite, but not because it lacked in quality, but because I do not like to much sauce on my sushi. This role had a mango sauce which was incredibly creative and delicious. My father had a spicy seafood soup that he constantly raves about. He was right. It was delicious. If ever along those winding roads in the good olé’ country down south, I highly recommend this place.

THANKYOU UnilocalTERS! I found this restaurant with the help of Unilocal and book marked it for future reference. Today I needed it as I was out in Forsyth County starving and needing to stop for a nice meal. This restaurant is located on the Northwest side of Cumming off of Keithsbridge Road. It is in the Publix Shopping Center but don’t allow it’s location to lead you to negative assumptions as this restaurant is very nice. I love the dark and low key vibe of the place. The décor is simple, clean and inviting. It is the perfect place to chill with family, friends or your significant other. After being seated we started with Wonton soup and spring rolls, which were well seasoned and delicious. For our main dishes we ordered the General’s Chicken, Chicken and Veggies and Chicken Lo Mein. Chicken with vegetables is my staple dish when I eat out at Asian Restaurants and it never disappoints. This dish was no exception. It was lightly seasoned with a hint of ginger and other spices that reminded me of Thai dishes. The General’s Chicken was lightly breaded with a hint of heat and the Lo Mein Noodles were a hit as well although they had a bit too much oil for my taste. Service was very attentive as our needs were anticipated and met in a more than timely manner. We had a great lunch and I look forward to enjoying it with my husband in the future. Yes, my favorite drink of choice(water), was delicious and refreshing!

We returned to Rice recently and if anything, the food and service has gotten better. This is probably the only restaurant I would wait 45 minutes for my meal, only because I know going in it’s a small restaurant and it’s going to be a fantastic meal once we sit down. In the warmer weather it’s nice to just sit outside and wait for the table to be ready. This time the waiter mentioned a special of a giant clam topped with sea urchin and something else I’m totally forgetting. He was so excited about it and it sounded so cool, we decided to get that as an appetizer. Holy smokes, not only was it absolutely delicious, but the presentation with the HUGE clam shell sitting on a bed of ice with some dark blue led lighting underneath. Made it look like it was sitting in a cave somewhere in the sea bed. Visually and culinarily delicious. For the main course, the two seafood lovers ordered the Keith’s Bridge Roll, the Perfect Storm, Shrimp Tempura Roll, and Avocado Roll. My wife who is a vegetarian went with the Avocado rolls, Cucumber roll and two of the Sweet Egg Nigiri Sushi. Just so amazingly fresh and well portioned. Where the trend in many sushi restaurants seems to be to overload the rolls and make them huge, here they are well portioned and so flavorful. Two rolls is a great meal for most folks. Just thrilled Rice is maintaining both the food quality and the service quality.

The hot and sour soup rocked. Next we had our fresh water eel — YUMMY! Followed that with very tasty crab. Then the eatin started: Two full sushi dinners. The experience was near perfect and to find this place is right by our home — Lucky Us! 5 stars for sure and this was just the first time here.

My mom handed me the To-Go menu for Rice and I was intrigued. With such an extensive sushi menu I had to check it out. We had an excellent meal and dining experience — loved the food and the service. Rice is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. We were greeted immediately and promptly seated. Our server made recommendations and answered our questions about the menu. The food came out promptly and was delicious! We had a Perfect Storm Roll, Asparagus Chicken with Black Bean Sauce and Panang Curry with Chicken and Shrimp. Very excellent meal. I will be returning to Rice and will recommend it to everyone

Great sushi and other Asian dishes ! Esp for the area ! Seems authentic, from what I can tell. We really enjoyed all their different sushi rolls, with different sauces. Great service and delicious food. WE really like this place and make sure we stop here each time we are in town.

The Keith Bridge roll just might change your life! The pad Thai and Kung pao chicken are faves. I often find myself saying that certain restaurants are great…“for Cumming.” Not so with Rice. Rice is one of the best Asian restaurants I’ve been to in Georgia. Period. If you are ever even sort of in the area you need to visit. The sushi is fantastic, the entrees are on point. The staff is incredible. Several of them know me by name, even though I don’t know theirs! And they see hundreds of people each day. They are sweet, efficient, professional, friendly… I could go on and on. If you are able to visit even a few times you will feel like you are visiting old friends. It really is as good as it gets.
