Seems like. New group in there don’t like it any more. The rice is bland lo mein barely edible. Wings good. Rangoon seems undercooked and spring rolls tasted raw. I spent 70 bucks there. Totally not worth it. Lost a customer since 2008…

I have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years and my food was always so good. I was wondering if they had changed ownership. I had take out today and the spring rolls are horrible, they are larger than before and leathery. The szechuan chicken was good but the chicken fried rice was different. The rice is a different brand and seems to be under cooked. Wow, I need to find another mom and pop chinese place.

Okay, I ate there last night, and learned that Hong Kong, our go-to place apparently has NEWOWNERS. So you won’t see Tom on the wok any more. The food was still good, so maybe it’ll stay the way it is. If you’ve never been, the reviews are accurate. Not much of an eat in place, but the food is amazing. Myself, I’ll eat there once in a while just to watch them cook. Amazing. I like the open kitchen too, you can see everything that’s going on.

I’ve tried all the local Chinese food in the Forsyth area. And Hong Kong is far the best. Yes, not a fancy place to dine but the food is well worth a try. Their vegetables are fresh and not drowning in oil. Best Moo Moo Gai Pan and I crave their fried rice!

Good food… at a low price. Quick and friendly workers. Seems to be a local hangout who supports small business. Fried rice a little heavy on soy sauce, next time I will make a point to request it light. I feel that they will accommodate my request

This is our go to Chinese restaurant! Nothing fancy as far as ambience is concerned but really good take-out food! Meat and vegetables are always fresh I’ve probably even hear 100 times and never had a bad meal ;))

Best Chinese food in cumming. It’s the best I’ve ever had and the pace is tiny and decorated like a 70’s locker room but. The food is always fresh and always taste the same. Great! Only really bad thing is that they are closed on Sunday’s. Don’t let the little kitchen fool you. I work in commercial kitchens all over Atlanta and you’d be surprised how clean this in is. And very surprised how nasty some of those very fancy places you all review are. Hahaha

Excellent food-wise. I had the chicken lo mein and fried rice. The interior décor is still early«hole in the wall» but overlooking that minor take-out instead of eat-in detail, the food was good this time. I sincerely apologize for the previous confusion. You may now eat there again.

Good food. Take out only. Lacks customer friendly seating. I would recommend. Mom and pop shop!

I ordered General Tso Chicken for lunch and was hoping this place was good since their lunch special is only $ 5 and includes an egg roll and a chicken wing haha. But unfortunately the General Tso’s was horrible. There was WAYTOOMUCHBATTER. I’ve eaten at a lot of Chinese places before and this was the first time I couldn’t tell it was chicken by looking at it. Plus the sauce was pretty tame and unflavorful. The chicken wing had too much batter too, but the egg roll was actually pretty good. The end.

Read the reviews and decided to try it despite the run down appearance. Should have run down the road instead. Worst Chinese food EVER. Rice was over cooked. Pork was tough and chewy. Worst wonton soup I’ve ever had, and that’s really hard to mess up. All this served on paper plates that melted to the table. And the place was filthy even though we were the only dine in customers they had. Wouldn’t recommend it even if I hated you!

Excellent Mom & Pop Chinese restaurant. Great food, always fresh and very reasonable prices. It is small with only a few tables but their takeout is the best! I strongly recommend you to try it and take some food home.

By far the the the the Best Chinese in Atlanta. Dont believe me try it out. Its husband and wife family joint. They have kids so they take sundays off. Food so excellent and very friendly service. Been going here for 8 years. Thx for giving that NYCHINESE joint feel.

The most delectable Chinese food in the Atlanta area, no doubt! My guy and I eat here at least once a week. The staff are super friendly and food never disappoints! Like other Unilocalers have mentioned — if atmospheric nuance is your thing, this is probably not going to be the ideal place for you. But if you don’t mind grabbing a Chinese takeaway and having dinner at home, you’ve got to give this place a go!

This is a whole in the wall find. They have the best fried rice anywhere… hands down. Many New Yorkers and San Francisco natives have agreed with me. The Lo Mein is also awesome! Other items are good… and I would say better than most Chinese places, but the Lo Mein and the Fried Rice ROCK! If you order House Special… make sure you order without crab… they use imitation crab and it totally ruins the whole dish… the chiciken, beef, pork and shrimp are all good though! Best restaurants are whole in the wall places… none of them have grat atmosphere, but it’s clean and consistently good. Family run… always the same people working there.

As long as atmosphere is not on your list of requirements, but getting large portions of good Chinese food is, I would give this one a try. I find their food most like Chinese food in NYC. The flavors and spice level have been very good. Most recently the kids and I enjoyed General’s Chicken and Beef Lo Mein. I say to you again don’t expect atmosphere, but enjoy some good inexpensive Chinese dishes.

Complete GARBAGE. Just spent 20 minutes driving to downtown cumming where the indicator says this place is only to read a review describing where it is because the phone was busy. After looking on the website and driving back to this side to find them closed at 7pm on Sunday when the website clearly says open till 10. I will not be back on principle. If you own a business be open the hours you advertise. PERIOD!!!

Do not let the strip mall area fool you! This place is AMAZING! Located between Hair Town and Big Lots, Hong Kong Restaurant is the place to go for great Chinese food at an amazing price! This place is tiny(seats maybe 30 people max) but the food portions are huge! The husband and wife owners/staff are super friendly and you can tell they take pride in their food. All the food is made«to order» and my lunch portion of Kung Pow Chicken included fried rice, an egg roll, and a chicken wing(which filled all available space on my plate) all for $ 6. I had eaten here once before, and talked my mom and sister into joining me for lunch during this visit. Initially, they had their doubts but once they tasted the food all doubts were out the window. Trust me, you will not be disappointed with the greatness that is Hong Kong Restaurant!

Always fresh and always good. Huge portions and much cheaper than any sit down chinese restaurant normally is for dinner. A few tables on the inside if you want to eat there, but most people just order the take-out. Hard working owners who are always friendly and appreciative of their customers. One of my favorites for those nights when I don’t feel like cooking and want something quick to take home.
