I’ve worked in Vallco for over a year and only tried this place today for the first time. I’m kicking myself now because the food here is awesome, but the mall is closing soon! I’m really hoping they have plans to relocate somewhere nearby! I was really craving a taco after work last night(got off at 2AM). Decided to come here during my lunch break today after reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I ordered a super steak quesadilla and a super steak taco. Both were amazing! I really wanted to try a pupusa but I had very little time so decided to hold off until another time. What I did order was made quickly and tasted delicious and fresh. Both of the employees were very friendly. I hate myself for eating nasty Burger King all this time. This’ll be my new go-to when I’m hungry at work — that is, until it closes.

Easy 5 stars. Fast service with a smile, and I have to be honest, I was really surprised by how good the food is. Between me and my kids, we had chicken super tacos, and a fish taco. Really good. Big portions, and great flavor. Just a hair on the spicy side, but in a good way. I hope this place survives the remodel that’s going to happen. The food court here now is kind of tired and dead, but I’m glad we found this place!

This Vallco shopping center looks like it’s fading away many shops are gone, and or closing. So what brought my friend and I here was a search in the area for good food on Unilocal.I suggested we get Mexican since we bees in Cali and dats where dems is some good Mexees food. We were not disappointed. First off the brother and sister(I believe? He called her hermana, but some people call their bros bra, anyway…) team took care of our orders. My friend and I both ordered queso(cheese) pupusas(El Salvadorian delight), I also ordered a super chicken burrito which was like the regular burrito only more super, I keed, it had guacamole, sour cream and I believe cheese. To my delight in the bag were some tortilla chips and salsa(we took it back to our hotel) and with the pupusas was a tasty tangy slaw and red Salsa(my friend said she got green sauce… whaaaat donde es mi Salsa Verde? No problemo. Everything I had was ¡muy delicioso! The pupusas which the cook(I forget his name but he rocked) told me he learned to make from an former El Salvadorian coworker and its still on their Mexican menu, and justly so. The burrito was on point, and the size of a small child. I say get one you’ll enjoy it and you cooooould share it. The duo were friendly and informative and giving us tips on places to go and check out, definitely need to be on the tourism board. The shopping center is going through a lot of changes but hopefully these guys stick around. They are a light in the dark. Buen provecho

The staff was nice, but the food itself was bland, not what I’d expect from carne asada tacos.

Reasonably priced, good tasting Mexican food in what has to be the crappiest mall in Silicon Valley. You’re here for the movie theater or Alexander’s Steakhouse. If for the movie, save some money and eat here. It’s way better than movie theater dogs, nachos, etc. Their torta was tasty and a fair portion for less than $ 8! What a bargain!

I really like this place. The staff is friendly, the service is good and the food is the best Mexican I’ve had in a mall(better than many sit down Mexican restaurants that I’ve been to). The Pupusas are freshly hand made to order and simply delicious. yes I know that they are not strictly Mexican fare but the woman that cooks them(their male chef cooks everything else but pupusas) had been previously making them at a prior cooking job and was then specifically trained to make them here. She makes each one fresh from scratch for you, so yes it takes a bit longer to make but they are certainly worth it for me. They are lightly crispy on the outside with an almost fluffy interior. Served nearly molten hot fresh off the grill with the traditional cabbage and hot sauce, its simply delightful. The hot sauce is actually very mild and its flavor complements the cabbage and pupusa perfectly. Yes I have eaten many authentic Salvadorean made pupusas for many years and these taste and look completely authentic to me. If you’re a fan of pupusas then you have to try these out and see how they compare to every other pupusa that you have had. To drink, I tried their Jamaica(Hibiscus) Agua Fresca which was delightful. I don’t know how they do it but its got a great rich flavor that defies anything I have had at home. I do buy organic hibiscus at home and drink it often but theirs just has an amazing flavor that I can’t explain. They make it fresh onsite and just use only hibiscus, water and sugar(I don’t use sugar in mine which might be the difference in flavor) to make theirs. Its a delightful flavor experience that is uplifting and calming(hibiscus is well known for its calming effect). There is free WiFi available courtesy of the Mall, and plenty of seating in the food court so I was able to enjoy my pupusas and hibiscus drink while staying in touch with the rest of the world. This is my new favorite mall place to eat, just for the pupusas, yes they are really that good.

I was here today around 11:30AM, and service was a mixed bag. I promptly told the employee standing at the front that I was ready to order, and she gave me an unfriendly look. The fish tacos are $ 3.99 each, and include a flour tortilla. My taco had a small scoop of guacamole on top, along with shredded lettuce, salsa, and three small pieces of fish(non-breaded). This taco was on the small side, but it had fresh ingredients with good seasoning. I had two sides, rice and black beans(other choices are pinto and re-fried), which were $ 1.75 each. The sides were small. She gave me the tiniest scoops of food that I had ever seen — two bites and you’re done. The rice was flavorful, as were the beans. Bottled water was $ 1.25. My meal total with tax was $ 9.50. This cranky employee practically shoved my bottled water at me, and snapped, «When your order is ready, I’ll tell you!» Then a male customer showed up, and she was all smiles and super friendly; two female customers showed up, and she was back to being cranky. The good: She wore gloves while preparing food, and my order was ready in about ten minutes. The bad: When my food was ready, she yelled,“It’s here!!” as she plopped it on the counter right in front of me. I asked for a fork, and she walked away. As I stood there, a second employee showed up and told her to give me a fork, which she did while rolling her eyes. I also asked for a napkin, and she ignored me and started flirting with the male customer that was waiting for his order. The second employee handed me three tiny napkins, and told me he was going to keep the basket of napkins out on the counter in case I needed more. More and more customers ordered. I was seated nearby, so I could see that the second employee gave big scoops of sides to customers, while the first employee continued with her tiny scoops. Inside the Vallco food court, near JCPenney. I parked by Sears where there was tons of parking available, and walked across the mall.

I am absolutely obsessed with every item on the menu! Friendly staff! Great service. Food made with extra care! The Nachos are so delicious as well as the quesidillas. There’s one really nice gentleman who works here. He’s the cook. Always come when he’s working. I think I will try a bite tomorrow as well

It was good for mall food! Not much to have in the food court so we went with the nachos. Not a bad decision. Huge portion, great flavor and a to go box to take home the rest we didn’t finish!

Best Tacos I’ve ever had! It’s so fresh. The meat is cooked to perfection, and the avocado tastes like it’s been picked from the tree. Just simply delicious. Such a gem in this tiny food court. A must try!

FYI, this is in the food court at Vallco Shopping Center. Look for it near the indoor car racing place. My kids raved about the food!

I have eaten here several times. I always order the super burrito with carne asada and it never disappoints. I have branched out from the burrito and tried their fish taco as well as a carne asada taco. Both are excellent. Authentic has only been open for about a month and my only negative comment is that sometimes you have to wait quite awhile to get your food. But I do recommend this place to everyone.

Small food court stall that just opened up. The menu is really small because of that but the owner, who is from outside Mexico City, promises more in the weeks to come. Fairly solid asada quesadilla, with avocado, crema and pico de gallo. Good flavors, though I wished it was a bit hotter. Waiting for when they get menudo and a torta Cubana on the list…
