This is my first visit to this Rubio’s had pretty good experiences with others I have to say this is pretty nice good food nice atmosphere employees asking if everything is alright pretty good and this is coming from a guy who thinks the more sketch a place looks the better the burrito. Yeah highly recommend well yeah I gave it 5 stars and took the time to review so yeah

I go here twice a week for my fish burrito. My order is a fish burrito w/​o cilantro/​onions, avocado slices instead of guacamole, and no salsa. Out of around 15+ orders from them, each time, i received my burrito with perfectly fried fish, cool avocado slices, fresh and crisp lettuce, and cool white sauce. The burrito ends up being warm yet refreshing at the same time.
This is by far my favorite fast food joint.

Original fish tacos for $ 1.50 each on Tuesday’s after 2:30pm-closing time

Rubio’s is a small venture of San Diego’s mexican seafood taco scene.
New Cupertino location is great, clean and open-​spaced. I can’t think of another mexican seafood place in the vicinity — so it’s a nice addition to the neighborhood.
The simple bathroom wall art made you feel like you were peeing in a submarine? on a cruise ship? Definitely had an oceanic feel to it — kudos to whoever designed it. Really clean bathrooms.
Bonus! They serve alcohol. (ok, it’s probably just sangria and some beers but still! exciting in it’s own right.)
My favorite item is the blackened mahi mahi burrito. It’s hidden in the middle of the menu, but you deserve to try it.

This was my first visit to Rubio’s and it was GOOD. I had the blackened Tilapia burrito and it was so yummy. The fish was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was great. There was a nice secret sauce in the burrito and the rice was very flavorful. Small bag of chips were yummy, too. I was surprised to see only 3 stars and I hope more people visit and have a positive experience. I notice that some of reviews were due to timing of the food. Maybe they had growing pains at first.
There were a ton of great fish options!

It’s a typical Rubios, same menu and atmosphere of somewhat of a fast food joint. Can’t go wrong with their $ 1.50 tacos in Tuesdays. Due to the location this place isn’t as crowded as other locations which is a huge plus! I usually don’t come here unless I want some tacos as there menu items seem similar to Baja Fresh and usually lack flavor. But I do like how they have a few salsas on the side!

I’m normally a Rubio’s fan, and I used to love grabbing some tacos at their SoCal locations.
This new Cupertino location tarnishes the brand. I’ve visited multiple times, and the portion sizes have been tiny. My friend’s «two taco plate» was basically two mini tortillas with barely any meat, salsa, a couple leaves of lettuce, and cheese. The chips are consistently undercooked and tasteless.
I also agree with other Unilocalers– there is definitely an area of opportunity for customer service at this store. Some of the staff members are decently friendly, but the cashier (I think her name was Brianne) was extremely rude when I inquired about the ingredients in a menu item.
I won’t be coming back despite this Rubio’s convenient location. The Sunnyvale location has great food and great service.

I visit Rubios every now and then, and this is my second visit at this location. This is probably the cleanest Rubios I have ever been to. I ordered the chicken tacos and it was delicious. The service was also very good (really liked how their manager came to check up on me while I was eating). Overall I enjoyed my tacos and the overall experience, and will visit again soon.

Too slow, been here twice and it seems like they are understaffed. I can’t wait 20+ minutes after ordering to wait for my food. I’ve been to other locations that are much faster. Being a new location you’d think that they would be better staffed.

Friendly service but I was still hungry after eating the two taco plate. There was not much meat on the tacos and they give you a really small number of chips. I thought I would get some rice on this taco plate but it was just beans. I wouldn’t go back.

Tried the taco Tuesday special on my first visit with my spouse. We ordered and enjoyed the original tacos. Shared 5 between the two of us. Good taste and I liked the salsa bar. Clean restaurant, efficient service. No wait at 5:30.

This is my first time trying the Rubio’s and I loved it!
We tried Fish Taco and the Especial chicken burrito and they were both so fresh. The food has higher quality than the Chipotle and also not heavy.
I will definitely try their other menu items soon.
5 Star for the clean and friendly staff :)

Tried out new location. This place is really clean. Also not as busy as the Sunnyvale location, which is helpful during $ 1.50 taco tuesdays when it tends to be busiest. Employees are nice for the most part except for Brianne. She rang me up & wasn’t nice at all. Had an attitude the entire time I was being helped. Then while the next customer in line is asking her questions, she’s tapping her fingers impatiently on the side of the register. How do you already hate your job if this place hasn’t even been open a month?! I get that it’s food service, but geez– lose the attitude.

Came here and ordered a Chipotle Orange Chicken Salad. All was OK until halfway through my salad, I realized there was no oranges in there. No sweat, I go up to the counter and ask if my salad is supposed to have oranges in there. They said yes. I said «I didn’t get any». The girl says she’ll bring me some. Cool. That is, until I realized she brought me a total of four morsels of mandarin oranges. Seriously? How can the word «orange» be in the title of an entrée, when there is barely any in there? I had more sliced tortilla chips in the salad. Weak. I’m not about to go begging for oranges, so I’ll just have to settle for leaving this below average Unilocal review.

Came here for the team training dinner as well as another time a couple weeks after they’ve been open. Got burritos both times (one salmon and one shrimp), and loved both. The service was top notch, facility was clean and modern, and food was warm/​fresh. Perfect price/​portion of food for a work-​day lunch (you’ll leave full but won’t be stuck in a food coma in the afternoon).
I do hope that they keep up the great customer service as the «newness» wears off.
The only «flaw» i saw was that the women’s restroom only had 2 stalls. For being a brand new restaurant build from scratch, they should’ve made the restrooms a bit roomier.

LOVE their Original Fish Taco Tuesdays and am thrilled they are now located in Cupertino and I don’t have to go all the way to Sunnyvale…
They JUST opened and I’m thrilled… we got the Fish Burrito, their fish tacos and hubby had the Cilantro Lime Sea Bass! If we’re going to Rubio’s it’s fish all the way… Everything was perfect and we didn’t have to wait too long for our food!
The place is a bit small but the service is AWESOME — greeted with a smile, and I know they’re still working out the kinks but from my perspective they’re really doing a great job on focusing on ensuring consistent quality of food and excellent service for the customers!
Will be coming here at least once a week for my $ 1.50 Original Fish Tacos… and to see folks from the neighborhood!
