Portions are small for price. Hash browns have way too much butter. Pancakes pretty small and powdery tasting. Eggs were gross. All I can say is everything tasted just off. Service also isn’t the greatest. Décor is getting a little too old and worn. Not going back Go to The County Inn down the road!

Bobbie’s is open again under new ownership, with a slight name modification(was bobbi’s coffee shop, now is Bobbie’s Café). The place is cleaned and refurbished, but otherwise unchanged; same menus, same staff(mostly).

I MISSTHISPLACE :( Hash browns were so yummy and the italian sausage was to DIEFOR. I also never eat waffles but this was the only place I ever did. I used to come here all the time(like, every other weekend) with my family and I have nothing but the fondest memories of this place. The staff still recognizes my fam when they go in(without me. Since I’m away for college. Sigh). The sign now says another owner will be taking over Bobbi’s. If this is true, I only have one request– PLEASE leave everything as it was! The cooks made the best breakfasts(and cabbage soup mmm) and the staff was the friendliest I’ve ever had at a diner– scratch that, anywhere. So please don’t fix something if it’s far from broken!

Well this isn’t a review as it is a complaint. Bobbi’s was supposed to reopen at the end of August but the way the remodeling is going it won’t be done until 2013!!! Get with it!!¡ We need those hash browns…

I’m sad it’s gone. There weren’t too many places in the area for good diner breakfasts. And yeah, that hash browns were good. Tear.

We go here for breakfast on Sunday mornings and for lunch. There is sometimes a line, but we always get seated fairly quickly. The pancakes and omelettes are wonderful. The homemade soup is delicious. It has a very small town atmosphere, and it is right next to Yamagami’s nursery. I highly recommend it! The only drawback is that they only accept cash, though there is an ATM on the premises.

I am really bummed about the closure of Bobbi’s. I hope they can work things out and reopen there or maybe elsewhere if the landlord wasn’t helpful. I am most worried about their wonderful staff… the service there was always great… a REAL honest to goodness Mom n Pop kind of place with great people working there. And a down home breakfast that couldn’t be beat. Dinners were great too. Bobbie’s…I hope you can come back with all your staff intact!

Came here on Sunday for some breaky. I had read such great things about it, so I had to come experience for myself. It’s a little place, so very easy to miss. Stupid google maps said it was on the east side of DeAnza, when, in fact, it’s on the west. Small parking lot, so good thing the place was pretty much empty. You seat yourself and then someone comes to take your order. The menu is fairly decent. I decided on the breakfast burrito, again, because I had heard it was amazing. Hubby had the pesto scramble. The portions are huge. +1 star. The hash browns are pretty decent as well. Hubby’s pesto scramble was super tasty. +1 star. My burrito. Well, it was disappointing to say the least. Yes, it was huge, but mostly packed with potatoes. Not so much with the eggs. So for me, it was not good. If you like lots of potatoes on top of hash browns, this might be perfect for you. Customer service was excellent. Will I come back? Most likely no. I’m sorry, but I need something really good to have me wanting more.

This is a little out of the way diner that serves some pretty solid breakfast food. I have not had anything for lunch here, so I can’t comment on that, but I would assume that it is probably just as good. I was really happy that this place serves Latke’s, which for anyone unfamiliar, are little Jewish potato pancakes. They were cooked well and had just the right amount of crunch, and were served up with a side of sour cream. I would definitely come back for breakfast here, its just your average slightly run down diner, but they serve up quality no frills breakfast food. You won’t find any pretentious meals here, just the staples you already know and love!

I still am a fan of this mom-and-pop business, but this old-fashioned coffee shop doesn’t earn 5 stars from me anymore. I finally brought my husband here, and he had the monster scramble, I had my usual waffle, and we shared some hash browns. I would’ve loved a strawberry waffle, but the strawberries weren’t fresh, so I skipped them. I would understand if it were January, but no fresh strawberries in September? Disappointing. The waffle was still very good — they use«Waffles of California» mix. The hash browns were unacceptable — they were greasy and didn’t taste good. I only took two bites. Pass. My husband enjoyed his egg dish, but definitely not 5 stars. Sorry, Bobbi’s. 3.5 rounded up.

I have worked in Saratoga for 22 years and have visitied Bobbie’s in the past many times. I believe it has changed ownership, not for the better. Thought I would try lunch to give it another chance as I tried it about a year ago and it was terrible. Lunch: Your basic turkey sandwich, okay. But what was bad was one of the waiters walking around the restaurant with a rolled-up newspaper swatting flies! One fly landed on the counter where people were eating, so he got it, then flicked it on the ground, BUTDIDN’T BOTHERTOWIPETHECOUNTERDOWNAFTERWARDS!!! Just gross… and dirty. Then, my boyfriend had Joe’s special. He said it was«just okay», he didn’t finish it. It had very little spinach in it, if any. Well, he has sick all afternoon after eating the little bit he had. I mean visiting the toilet all day getting sick. There is nothing special about this diner any longer. Stay away!

I must have driven right by this place thousands of times and never know it existed. From the outside it doesn’t look too special. Its nestled in a small plaza with a Nursery that takes up most of the lot. Had it not been for JL’s quick fingers on the Unilocal app, we would have never found this place in our search for sustenance on a Sunday morning. When we parked and got out and I saw that the place was full of patrons, I knew this was a good choice. Walking inside there were a lot of people seated at the counter and they all looked like regulars by the way they were treated by the servers. My expectations were rising even more now. I took a gander at their menu and there was a lot too choose from but not so much that I was completely lost. We decided on the Corned Beef Breakfast and Waffles, eggs and sausage. The corned beef hash was fantastic. It had great flavor, nice crispiness on the outside, soft and moist on the inside. Their hash browns are very crispy and flavorful, not greasy. The Waffles are nice and thick. Very crispy exterior and fluffy interior. Bobbi’s Coffee Shop is a very solid breakfast place that I will gladly return to the next time I am in the area.

Come here for your basic breakfast, no muss, no fuss. The décor is straight 70s diner style. Think Formica counter tops and baby blue vinyl chairs. You can tell not much has changed since they first opened because the booths are normal sized and not giant sized. I like the fact that this place has options for normal sized meals. I went with the mini breakfast of 2 pancakes, an egg, and 2 sausage links or 2 slices of bacon. Even then, I wasn’t able to finish my entire meal as the pancakes are decently large. They don’t do fancy or extravagant, just basic and reliable. I think that Bobbi’s is a good option if you’re looking for a quaint escape. The service is quick and unpretentious. The host will bring you menus, and take your order. When you’re finished, you take your check to the counter and pay.

I am an outsider here, but I don’t aim to stay that way. Do not overlook this straightforward old-style American coffee shop like I did! First thing you should notice about any breakfast place is whether there is parking. A good breakfast nook will have parking problems. There is, as a rule, scarce parking at Bobbi’s. Parking problems: check. Second, do the locals eat there? At Bobbi’s the answer is yes. Normally the clientele comprises employees from local businesses, and sometimes older local residents who came in for breakfast and to read the paper. Locals: check. Third, does the establishment revere breakfast food, or do they merely make it? Bobbi’s serves food with reverence. An egg over-easy is perfect and served hot, not warm. Bacon is served steaming, and strikes that nearly unattainable balance of just enough crispness and suppleness. Specialty plates look like someone cared that they look appetizing. Respect for the food: check. Those are the things you look for in a tiny breakfast nook. On top of all that, the coffee keeps coming, the service is like clockwork, and the staff ably pick up on even the subtlest body language. FYI: — Cash only. ATM inside the door charges $ 1.75 fee. — Seat yourself. Bobbi’s is small and unassuming, and everything is just as it should be, so at first I was just going to give this four stars. But as I write I am realizing that, to me, this little place is a kind of American ideal that is becoming increasingly rare. So I say five stars, and thanks for the bacon. I hope everyone’s experience is as good as mine has repeatedly been.

I have been coming to this place for over 15 years. There is only one item to get at this place! drum roll please… The Chicken Fried Steak, with the gravy on the side! I have been to many restaurants in the world and have tried Chicken Fried Steak and this is a tie for my #1 all time. Its worth it. Yes its not healthy, but that is why it is so good! I gave it a 4 due to the fact they do not accept credit cards.

Bobbi’s coffee shop seems to have been here ever since I was a kid and I never tried it till last weekend. It was your good old-fashioned breakfast joint. My friends got the corned beef hash which they said was«epic» and I got an omelette which was solid. It came with toast and hash browns which are very yummy. All their food is not too oily like some other breakfast places. The staff was super friendly and even when I spilled my coffee(the cup did a back flip, don’t ask me how) the waitress was nice about it and quickly gave me a new cup. I’d definitely come back here for breakfast, especially since it’s just down the street from me.

I’m all about mom and pop places. But I’m pretty sure I went on an off day for breakfast. I liked the old school feel inside and loved the fact you could bring your dog and have breakfast outside. When we sat down, the server asked us what we wanted to drink first. I wanted hot water(I’m always cold) and she brought me iced water(???). I ordered one of the hearty breakfasts — biscuit and gravy, hash browns and two eggs. I requested that the hash browns be extra crispy. When she brought my dish, I was puzzled. The has browns were barely crispy, still soft in the middle, and my biscuit was underbaked. I’m not sure what happened for my breakfast but I think it’ll be a while before I go again.

I heard raving reviews about this place so I had to come check it out since it was so close to my house. The inside was a homely setting and it was cute. Service was good because they checked up on us often for coffee refills. I forgot which meal item I ordered but it came with eggs, pancakes, sausage, and hash browns. The overall plate was greasier than what I’ve experienced at my personally familiar places such as Stacks and Country Inn. The taste was okay but it was really the greasiness that killed off the morning for me as I sat in my living room watching TV while falling into a food coma. I’m not usually that susceptible to food coma, even after breakfasts so that’s saying something about Bobbi’s. Not my cup of tea, to say the least, but I can definitely see why people enjoy it and why it seems like there are loyal customers are this place. If you love a heartier breakfast, come to Bobbi’s and you’ll definitely get your fix.

To imagine, I used to drive right by this place without even knowing of its existence. One day, when I used to go to DeAnza College, right after class I was craving a small-diner like place and a meal that included some biscuits and gravy. The sign for the place is small, so it’s easy to just overlook this place unless you know and were looking for it. After a nice recommendation and realization that this place existed, I walked in to EXACTLYWHAT I WANTED. Old-fashioned, homey, small diner that suited and fulfilled the very craving that I had for weeks. I LOVEDIT. I met and got to hang out with the regulars frequently, and I had a seat I always sat at by the counter. The waitresses there were super nice and once I came a few times, knew to bring me iced tea as I sat down with a small container of brown sugar that I liked to mix in it. I wish there were more places like this closer to San Jose where I live.
