3.75 stars This is the cafeteria located inside the main Apple building, so it has a pretty extensive selection of foods. Think Indian, Italian, sushi, Mexican, burgers, sandwiches, coffee & dessert bars. They have a variety of healthy options(e.g. build your own salad and fresh juices), and most of the dishes tend to have less salt/oil than most restaurants. The prices are subsidized, so it’s not bad for what you get(~$ 6 – 10) for entrees. However, I think the food should be free considering how profitable Apple is! As others have complained, this cafeteria gets pretty crowded. It’s better to early around 11am or later around 1pm. They have both indoor and outdoor seating!

If you’re fortunate enough to know someone who can get you behind the secure doors of Infinite Loop, I suggest you direct them to drag you to Caffe Macs. Basically, you get amazing quality food at cafeteria prices. This visit we had sushi, made by actual Japanese sushi chefs. The quality was top notch. Next time, I may go for the pizza – dough kneaded and toppings applied right in front of you, prior to putting it into a flaming, old-school pizza oven. Cannot wait until I visit again!

I don’t get the opportunity to eat here often, as I work in a different Apple building about one mile away… but man do I savor every time I get to eat here. There’s a vast sea of choices(wonderful salad bar that’s personally tossed with your choice of dressing, burrito bar, Pan Asia, macro bowls, freshly made pizzas, daily specials, Indian pop-up stations, sushi, several types of dessert, and more) that are all inexpensive. And dinner is free for engineering groups! Being a nerd pays off, I tell you. Only knocking my rating down a star because it’s crowded at any time I go. Even when I plan to go at an off-hour, it’s still crowded. Lines move reasonably quick though, and staff is always friendly. Definitely come try this place(you have to be an Apple employee or know someone who works for Apple/get a visitors pass) and you won’t think of cafeteria food the same again.

Food here is pretty darn good for the price– wish they had something like this at Stanford lol Most entrees are between $ 4 – 8. I’ve only been here twice, but the burgers are cooked to perfection and the steak quesadillas are super filling(only $ 5!). Ingredients are fresh and the salad bar is $ 4 for anything you want in your bowl. If you know someone working at Apple, definitely try eating here for lunch sometime :)

Fantastic food and out-of-this-world service! Chloe de Guzman was a great server and she really helped me out. I got the steak and it was delicious! Five stars for a wonderful girl and a wonderful restaurant!

Sometimes there are so many options here that you just get analysis paralysis and want to get out of there asap. It can get really chaotic there during peak lunch hours as there are no organized lines and people just waiting around haphazardly for their food. It’s even decently crowded for breakfast at 9am when you’d think that most people should still be on their way to work. For lunch, my go to is the SUPERFOOD station. $ 5 gets you a pretty filling meal, and $ 8 gets you enough food to last for two. There’s usually not too long of a wait because they spoon up about five orders at a time. It’s also usually balanced with protein, vegetables, and healthy carbs like couscous or quinoa. My other favorite stations are the pan-asian station, the sushi station, and the seafood section. You can order the sushi a la carte or get a combo platter for $ 13. For high-rollers, there’s a $ 20 bento box. The sushi was very fresh and tender — no issues with awkward fibers or tough fish meat. There’s usually no wait for the seafood or indian food, which are actually located after the registers by along the side of the seating area. The longest wait is usually for the salad bar — you can get unlimited toppings for $ 4, which makes it one of the best deals in the house. Desserts are always a welcome sin tempting you right by the register. They aren’t too sweet, and there are always some gluten-free options. There’s also gelato if you’re feeling up for it, which is to the left of the smoothie bar. $ 2.75 gets you a small, which is practically retail price, but when you got a craving, sometimes it’s worth it. You can also get samples, which I would highly suggest as sometimes that’s enough to satiate a craving. By the way, coffee, tea, and CONDENSEDMILK are free over at the counter by the wall. The con is that there’s usually not enough seating, so we’re usually forced to share a table with someone else, but maybe that was intentional to force us to socialize. Pro tip: you can also grab some towels and sit on the grass when it’s sunny outside.

Convenient place to get lunch on occasion as I work at Apple, however the food at Caffe Macs is just meh and it’s usually super packed which is such a turn off when you’ve waited in line forever and end up with no place to sit. It definitely has its fair share of healthy choices which is nice, but the food can be pretty bland. I’ve had healthy and flavorful, so I’m not sure why Caffe Macs is missing the mark in that department. Questionable staff to say the least, I’ve witnessed incompetent servers in the AM and servers fighting along side one another in the PM. Bland dinner and a show? I’ll keep my fingers crossed for better.

Went with hubs for a quick bfast. Loved it. Lots of options. Tasty food. Tried the omelette. It was delicious. There was not a thing that u could think of for bfast and not find there. Different kinds of breads pastries oatmeal fruits yogurts healthy drinks juices coffee tea etc. it just gets a little busy during peak hours but people are lining up there for a reason. So I say — must go place. Btw u need to be an apple employee or a guest of Apple employee for entry. This review is just for breakfast. Haven’t tried their other courses

Still amazing. Favorite combination — salad bar — arugula with beets, goat cheese, topped with craisins and almond slices(or walnuts). no need for dressing, just a little bit of olive oil and balsamic vinegar! $ 4 New-found gem — sandwich bar — HALF a sandwich for $ 2, easily fills me up for lunch. avocado spread, salami, havarti melt. I promise you won’t be disappointed. maybe a scoop of egg salad on the side too. whew. $ 2. Revisiting the — sushi bar — amaebi is friggin delicious. uni is pretty special, i’m not sure why it’s such a vibrant orange color, but it does taste fresh(85 out of 100 points). Get some brown gen maicha(brown rice tea, next to the huge selection of tea bags) to go with your sushi lunch. $ 10 for a meal. Dinner time — not a lot of options but check out the tapas pop-up, it always has something inspiring :)

This place is pretty awesome. I’ve come here numerous times and have never left unsatisfied. There are so many options! Sometimes I order a sandwich, other times I leave with salad and pizza. The prices are subsidized so that makes it so much more worth it(eg: $ 4 for a HUGE sandwich with whatever you want on it). I also love trying their smoothies. if you come here after a workout, they have some great protein boosters. Out of all the meals, I think breakfast is the best. Then again, that is my favorite meal of the day. Make sure you take a look at all the available pics on Unilocal

I got an opportunity to eat at the Infinite Loop for lunch. Man do I wish I worked here. The food at their«cafeteria»(it feels unfair to even call this a caf) is amazing. There’s all sorts of food offered ranging from japanese noodles, tempura, sandwiches, risotto, burgers, pizza, GELATO!, smoothies, organic green salad bar(think of freshii but better) etc. And it’s all so healthy! Prices are pretty reasonable too for the quality of food and the amount they offer. I got the miso pork loin(pork loin itself was great, and the noodles and salad with apple vinaigrette was so healthily yummy). Oh and free apples at Apple, haha. The environment is so nice and chill too, with seating area inside and outside beside this big green lawn in the centre of Apple campus(saw a bunch of people just chilling on the grass chatting and eating away) Definitely recommend coming here if you get a chance — you need to know someone that works here in order to get in.

1. The $ 3(small) /$ 5(large) salad is unbeatable. The chefs don’t mind if you cram in a lot of ingredients– the small is big enough for me to feast and have left overs. 2. Their entrees have never failed me. Succulent shrimps, juicy steak, flavorful Indian curries, my mouth is drooling as I type this. 3. $ 7 pizza, tastes and looks like $ 20 pizza. 4. Delicious dessert as well! Basically, if you have a chance to go to Caffe Macs, you should go. Apple either breaks even or loses money by feeding you organic, locally-sourced, wholesome meals. I know the mantra«free food is best food». But I’ll take inexpensive quality food over free cheap food.

Vegan soups and lunches are available every day and the line for these items is short. The cuisine is creative and never bland. Veg Dishes are often Indian or Thai Curries and there’s an occasional soy protein based Sloppy Joes! There’s usually a vegan soup option too. Voila! Tip: if you’re vegan or vegetarian bring your favorite mock meat and keep it in the fridge. You can add these items to the vegi soups and to most main dishes. I bring Trader Joes vegan Ground Round or Eve’s meaty crumbles, myself. Nutritionally, this rounds out the meals at Caffè Macs. I’d definitely give this cafeteria it’s fifth star if they would start incorporating a little more mock meat protein into the dishes. Bonus: Gilroy’s own Pepper Plant brand hot sauce is iced and available for pouring. That’s the stuff. Pepper Plant garlic hot sauce is the illest!

The food here is still impressive. As I come here to eat more and more, I start to figure out what I like and don’t like. However, I haven’t found anything yet that I didn’t like so far since everything tastes so good. What you can’t go wrong with are the burritos and salad. I’ve found that there are so many different combinations to choose from that you can make a burrito or salad that you’ll like. I made myself a 6-inch flour burrito with green rice, tomatoes, red onions, tofu, chicken, guacamole, and I may have forgotten another ingredient. I haven’t eaten it yet as of this writing, not because it did not taste good, but because of what I also ate – the salad. This salad consisted of spinach, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, heart of palm, croutons, edamame, fried tofu, unfried tofu, round white cheese(is there a name for that in salads?), bleu cheese, bleu cheese dressing and golden raisins. Oh yeah, and extra virgin olive oil. I like eating salads and they tasted good at the salad buffets I’ve eaten at, but Apple’s cafeteria has one of the best salad offerings I’ve ever eaten. Of course I got the cookies and cream and the espresso crunch gelato. They altogether come down to ~$ 12. I was pretty surprised since I ordered a lot. If you come down to Caffe Macs and are not usually a salad eater, you need to try their salads. And of course, their grass-fed burgers. That was from another time, so I’m only focusing on what I ate at this most recent visit. All I can say is, I tried their burger another time, and it was so fresh and natural-tasting. You just taste the meat, and nothing else that would be normally processed into fast food meat.

Some of my best meals in the greater Silicon Valley have been at this employees-only cafeteria. Delicious, interesting, fresh(probably even organic??) gourmet food. Awesome subsidized prices. Friendly(maybe even happy??) staff. Clean. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Apple really should consider going into the food business. Caffe Macs offers 3 meal services a day. Each with a variety of interesting stations. At breakfast, there are stations serving oatmeal(with an array of healthy, fresh toppings), omelettes, waffles/pancakes, breakfast burritos, and special of the day hot breakfast plates. I’ve only had the fortune of eating one breakfast here– and on that day, there was an interesting breakfast salad(yep, #healthyliving) — spinach greens topped with a perfectly poached egg, turkey bacon bits, goat cheese, cinnamon toast croutons, and giant raisins served with an optional side of avocado almond butter toast. So delicious. Lunch is similarly awesome. Some of the recurring staples include burgers, sushi, asian noodles(ramen, udon, etc.), a salad bar with lots of fresh, interesting ingredients, pizza, indian, burritos, pasta(often with a fancy pasta of the day– I once had a creamy clam pasta there… SO clam good), an OYSTERBAR(forget scouring for happy hour specials, oysters always at one dolla, holla!), some vegan special of the day, a hot meat/seafood plate of the day, a dozen flavors of gelato/sorbet, and a dozen varieties of desserts. There is also a «paleo pop-up» station that serves up an interesting paleo meal, often served fresh from the GRILL outside. YES, that’s right, there are outdoor grills and an outdoor brick oven on-site. My New York brain just doesn’t compute. What kind of alternate universe is this? One of my favorite dishes was the beef flaps, a paleo special: skirt steak and mango salsa on in-house made plantain wraps. Not only did my mouth die and go to heaven, but my eyes also couldn’t get over the aesthetics of the dish. This cafeteria not only serves up a delicious meal, but it plates everything SO thoughtfully and beautifully — whether on their takeaway boxes(compostable of course) or chinaware. All about design here, in the cafeteria and the programming room. I haven’t had the pleasure of eating a dinner here yet… But as I’m sure it will be one of the better dinners I’ll have in this otherwise lackluster food scene, you betcha it’s on my bucket list. And as if the food offerings weren’t enough to keep Apple’s people happy… They also offer a full service juice bar that’s open from 8 to 7. And to top it all off, there is always free decent coffee, mighty leaf teas and organic apples. Don’t stay hungry, but stay foolish folks!

I can see why people like working for Apple. Great healthy food choices that taste good, and decent prices to boot. Makes me miss being an engineer — just a little. Superfood pork loin with potatoes, under 500 calories, costs only $ 5. Custom made salad, with plenty of choices of greens and dairy and protein, $ 4. What’s not to like? And free apples! Free apples from Apple!

If only Apple products were as inexpensive as the food at Caffe Macs. Fortunately the quality of the food is equal to the quality of their computers. The highlight here is definitely the brick oven pizza, made to order. You can literally watch the chefs spread the pizza dough and put the toppings you choose on top. Equally good and underrated is the vegetarian station. Unlike most of the other stations that are sorted by type and style of food, the vegetarian station only has the requirement that its food be, well, vegetarian. Some days there will be Indian, other days will be some East Asian inspired dish, or vegetarian chili with corn bread. The variety is fantastic and the quality top notch. You can get fresh fruit smoothies and a variety of tasty desserts(usually a rotating selection) to go with your meal. The downsides are that there are huge lines during lunch hours, and it’s only open to Apple employees and their guests.

I’m sad that this isn’t available to everyone, but alas. Apple does not sacrifice quality or attention to ANYTHING that it does. Food included. The selection is remarkable, the quality is unmatched, I… am at a loss for words. Come here if you have an opportunity. It’s the best cafeteria you’ll ever attend.
