Do not recommend. I think they can do better job but they choose overcharged without working seriously. I used Shirley by the way.

Might not be immediately obvious but they know how do men’s hair. Great haircut from Shirley. She knew exactly what I wanted and clearly has experience(18 years) with men’s cuts. Highly recommend.

Been getting my hair cut and colored by Lynn for the past 7 years. She is a great at listening to what I have in mind and would come up with her own professional suggestions based on what I like v. s need. She spends time to layer and dye my hair to ensure the best result and I always walk out the salon feeling beautiful and happy !

It was my first time here and I was unsure of what to expect. I came here to get a cut and dye and Shirley did a great job. $ 55 for the cut and $ 105 for the dye. The haircut was simple, I wanted a trim and new blunt edge bangs. Most hairstylists oppose to that look probably because they think it looks childish or it’s hard to pull off. She did a good job doing exactly what I wanted. Most people don’t know how to deal with Asian hair, but Shirley was a pro. For the dye, I just wanted something simple and natural. I had some highlights put in this summer but they started growing out and looking tacky. She did a good job matching dye to my natural hair color. The price she gave me she claimed was discounted, still it was a bit pricey. I won’t complain though, because she did exactly what I wanted. I wish I had a before photo to compare!

Raymond is one of the best hair stylist in the Silicon Vally. I tried many different hair stylists in the past 10 yrs, but no one can do better job than Raymond does for my hair! Results always come out much better then I thought! Totally a new look w/great energy:) He is very patient and focus on my hair. I have a relaxed time during my hair cut. Making an appointment with him is the key:)

Raymond takes 20 years off my face. .. he’s patient and good-natured, and a brilliant stylist — over the years he’s never failed to go right to work quietly and intently on my long hair. As I’ve aged, we’ve gone to two, sometimes three tones, low-lights and highlights, and he always listens to my little tweaks and ideas(more blonde, more brown please) — but more importantly, I listen to him — he makes suggestions and gives explanations — knows why he does what he does — a real professional. .. . we check in, but I’d say don’t distract him, he’s a pro and very serious about his work. He never shoves products at me, but helps me with what I ask for. Absolutely a delight to work with and depend on! Not expensive — in part because his work is so good it doesn’t require correction, and the color blends are so skillful you can go a bit longer without the roots showing.

Karen has perfect technique for asian guy hair. I have typically stiff asian hair and wanted to go from long to short hair. She does everything with scissors and finishes with the small clippers. Trust is a big deal and prior to finding Karen, I had been waiting to get haircuts in LA. I’m definitely coming back!

I made an appointment with Raymond on phone, during which they asked me for my phone number. I live in Palo Alto and drove all the way to Cupertino in the middle of traffic congestion. When I arrived, there was a sign on their door: closed due to no electricity. This was as unprofessional as one could get. Couldn’t they call me(I left my number during appointment) to let me know that they are closed? This is absolutely unacceptable. I wasted so much time just driving back and forth for nothing. Worse, I had an interview the next day and badly needed a haircut; my appointment was for 7 pm and there was no way for me to get a haircut at other places. Also, I left them a phone message after I saw the sign. No reply from them. No apology, let alone compensation. ABSOLUTELYUNPROFESSIONALANDUNACCEPTABLE. Finally, the woman at the front desk is a very mean woman, always having a long face for no reason. Why would you go to such a terrible place when there are so many other choices in the Bay Area? I would suggest people to avoid it.

Raymend is always the best on cutting and coloring. He fixed my hair when other salon badly burned my hair from perm. He really cares about his customers and trying to help customers maintaining healthy hair while having trendy styles. 5 stars for Reymend!!!

I went in for Japanese hair straightening for the first time. My hair has never been this frizz-free or straight!(Hopefully it stays this way.) Shirley asked for my preferences and also counseled me against treatments that won’t work(after a thorough inspection of my hair). She explained the process to me as we went through it. My hair was also extremely damaged in places from years of flat-ironing, and she gave those areas extra attention by apply patches of a stronger smoothening crème. I give it 5 stars because of the fantastic results. I think their normal haircuts are a bit pricey($ 50), but paying ~$ 250 for the Japanese treatment seems about average.

I really like this place. I’ve only gone to the owner(Shirley), and she does great cuts, and color. Her assistant has highlighted my hair, and she also does a great job. There are a bit less money than many places I’ve been to. I’m so often surprised and shocked when I read other reviews. I really think this place is great, and I’ve had many people do my hair. They get a 5 star from me. Cindy

Karen has been cutting my hair for 7+ years. She is very helpful at choose hair styles for when I had long hair. In all honestly, sometimes when I think the cut looks odd but in a couple days it looks great. It might be just me but it takes a day or two for my hair to grow into they style. In any case, I used to get complement on my hair frequently and confused as being Korean. I guess Koreans have good hair?

Got a blow out from Lynn yesterday. I didn’t have an appointment, but they were super friendly and worked me in. The blow out, itself, was good(not over the top fabulous). Lynn was very professional and knowledgable. I think I will definitely stop by here in the future.

The stylist there do understand how to cut Asian people’s hair. And can design the style based on the condition of your hail. They can communicate with you in Mandarin, which is a good plus. Maybe you won’t get the fanciest style today at 2013. But it’s pretty good post-2010 ish hair style and fits to you.

I use to go to this place when they were at the old location. Back in the day when I was ok sporting an 80’s glam rock haircut. These days after 4 attempts over an 8 month period I’ve found the stylist that use to be called Caitlyn aka Lynn to everyone else has lost her touch. My last —(I use the word LAST with two meanings) haircut 3 days ago was the most disastrous. I got a cut and color. I think the Matrix coloring system they use is semi-perminent. The color has already faded and my grey’s look like blond highlights. Mind you I paid extra for their coveted Lanza shampoo to keep the color from fading too. The cut — sigh — I had to take scissors to my hair to straighten and trim things out. They do this weird technique of taking a chunk of your hair and layering the crap out of it. Then they drop that chunk and go on to another chunk and another chunk. Never mind your eyes are in the way either. If that chunk falls in your eyeballs don’t say I didn’t warn you. I wonder if they can actually do a straight bob or blunt cut of any kind. Hmmm. It’s almost like they rely on this technique to hide imperfections. It didn’t work this time around. If you look at the back of my hair it looks like a kid got to my hair while I was asleep. I see why everyone thinks they walked out with a mullet cut. I’m «rockin» that style now too. Sorry Cali Hair, this gal is too old for that look now.

Took appointment in morning for early evening haircut. I have super curly hair and cutting them is a complicated task but Lynn did a decent job. She also advised how I can take care of my hair and was really friendly.
