Another spur of the moment gem! This place is great! When it comes to breakfast I am always the one to shake some salt and pepper on my food, maybe some ketchup, or drench it in hot sauce. So much so that my boyfriend had it prepared for me to add to my food. Let me tell you that non of the above was necessary(okay maybe a dash of two of Tabasco cause I like the spice). I’m always willing to give places that are rated lower a try especially when most of the complaints are service related(no clue why). Had the best service here, everyone was always smiling and prompt. Just an all around great experience and I loooooved my food. I wish that I could remember what they were. I just know we did a scramble and a specialty potato dish. Will be back again and can’t wait until we are! Yummmm!

The food tastes great but it is a little on the pricey side. But I always walk out feeling full and satisfied.

You know how to tell if you are going to enjoy your dessert? If the coffee they slam in front of you smells as good as it tastes. The second the coffee hit out table we knew we chose the best place to grab a sweet treat after seeing a movie. Good coffee is an absolute must. Another reason Hobee’s grabbed our attention instead of the coffee place next door, was the smell of the coffee cake that you could smell from down the street!!! it was like heaven! We ordered two pieces(blueberry and raspberry) of the coffee cake for 4 people. Each slice was so big! Definitely enough to share. The cake was so delicious, crumbly, but light and airy and loaded with lots of fresh fruit. I can’t vouch for the entrees but I highly recommend coffee cake and coffee for dessert!

Just a breakfast spot. Nothing that makes it standout. They do a good job with substitutions. We stopped by Saturday morning for breakfast. We were seated right away and served fresh coffee. They have soy milk! This is huge for me. I don’t drink milk. I had a scramble and it was just okay. The hash browns are not really hash browns. They are more like country potatoes. If I’m in the area… I might stop by… Might.

Great help and accommodation for all your needs. Our waiter Adrian was very kind and quick to serve us. He often checked up and made sure we had a wonderful meal. From zipping table to table, he holds a strong smile and attitude. My friend I ate with didn’t enjoy a salad and had Adrian take it away. Even though We were still expecting to pay for the salad, he gave us our check and explained that we didn’t need to since we didn’t like it! It was a sweet gesture that we didn’t expect. Food was okay but great service always make it a little bit better.

This is a good breakfast place, especially if it is sunny and you can sit outside. Their coffee cake is the best I’ve ever had, so make sure you order one. Their pancakes are ok, I would definitely go for omelets. If you like lattes, they make good ones. So it is one of the few locations where they actually have«real» coffee. Last time we came here and paid by credit card, they charged as 4 times(together with 3 cancellations). Not sure what happened but make sure you either pay cash or check you statement.

The other two that closed in Campbell area had the same menu but very poor service! Surprise! This one has a California fresh menu and DOES have good service as well! Makes it popular in a fairly crowded outdoor mall setting! The poached egg breakfast with fruit is always my favorite. They have good pancakes here as well as good breakfast café tea options! Too bad the other two closed but again, they offered poor service!

Food was satisfying. Wish they had shredded hash browns but that’s ok. Breakfast all day! Yay! Good place to eat with a nice atmosphere. Second time here, both times Adrian was my server. Wow! This guy either is a robot or works on 10 expresso shots. He is fast! Mostly writing this review based on service. He gets the job done, very focused and attentive to everyone.

I love Hobee’s. I’ve gone to several locations and they seem to be fairly consistent. This one had the homey diner feel with friendly service and food came out quickly. Today’s order was the egg’s benedict with side of hashbrowns. Note the hashbrowns are diced potatoes rather than the shredded potato mass you expect but they were crispy all the same, and seasoned well. The eggs benedict was great, the main component of this dish-the egg is always perfectly well done with running yolk to be swiped up with the english muffin. Coffee with refills is $ 2.50. Brunch for 2 runs around $ 25. The menu is diverse enough to find something for everyone and on previous visits I have had the blueberry coffee cake-fluffy, warm, light as air, it’s definitely worth the calories. Bathrooms are clean. Great place for breakfast and lunch.

Yumyumyum love the signature hot buttery blueberry coffee cake and spicy bottomless cinnamon tea. Just those two items beats IHOP or Denny’s any day. I had the Dot Com Ommie with turkey bacon and it was delish. My mom got a really good potato scramble that came with chorizo. The eggs benedict were excellent as well. Love this place!

My dad and I go here twice a month on our lunch dates. We get the Chili Omelette and the Huevos Rancheros. Both with the Blueberry Coffee Cake. So delicious! Their coffee is good too. Service is good and there’s never a wait(Tuesday @ noon). We sit by the huge windows and watch the ducks eat when the manager feeds them. One time he had the Veggie Omelette and he loved it too. Their chili is delicious, also. We highly recommend it for breakfast; we’ve never tried their lunch.

Excellent service! Walk in there alone and get totally ignored by five waiter/waitress around me, until a group of 4 white people walk in. They tried to sit them, so I just shut at the waitress and said«Are you gonna seat me or what?» Then I got seated, ask for water but never saw her coming back. A kind waiter come after I read every receipts on the menu and took my order, thank god for his mercy on a single man sitting on a brunch table. Shame on me for only giving him 15% tip just because he totally forgot the cake I ordered. I felt so bad about myself. Am I a racist Asian guy who hate Spanish speaking waitress or I just get the very bad service I don’t deserve in a white people restaurant again. The chipotle-tomatillo chicken breast is okay, not as good as the other topping I tried last time. The blueberry coffee cake is very good.

This is probably my favorite Hobee’s location; although it’s a little dark inside, you are immediately met with the smell of coffee cake the moment you open the door. I have never had to wait more than five minutes here, both being seated and being served cinnamon iced tea(however you have it, their cinnamon tea is AMAZING). I pick favorites, and although I’ll eat the lunch/dinner items, I come here for the breakfast! Some of my favorites are: –South of the Border Omelet –Chorizo Scramble –The BDBIT –De Anza Browns –Breakfast Sandwich 2.0 My only criticisms are that there is a small group of wait staff(after taking your order, drink refills are rare) and that its across from a busy community college(making traffic and parking sometimes difficult).

i’ve been to this hobee’s a couple of times over the past several years, but i seem to have forgotten to write my review for this all american, family restaurant! i came for brunch with friends on martin luther king day, and it was actually pretty packed around 10am. fortunately, we did not have to wait very long for a table of 6. a few of my friends ordered coffee, and requested cream since it was not already on the table(although sugar was). for some reason, it took a long time for the waitress to bring fresh cream to our table… we are thinking that she got sidetracked and just forgot. she eventually brought the cream, but i think by then, my friends had drank most of their coffee! i ordered one of their egg specials, and i believe it was called the greek scramble, priced at $ 10.95(slightly higher than their standard, everyday omelets). i requested this dish to be made with egg substitute and without the presence of cheese. i also requested an english muffin, dry, in place of the hash brown potatoes. the scramble had a ton of veggies, olives, artichoke hearts, onions, spinach, green peppers, and tomatoes, all of which tasted good blended together with the egg substitute. the english muffin was toasted without any butter or margarine, as i requested. there was also a very small side of fruit, namely a wedge of melon and slice of orange, which were reasonably fresh. when it came time to pay the bill, many of us required change, so i went up to the cashier at the front of the restaurant and requested change for my $ 20 bill. she immediately started whining, saying something like«oh my gosh» to which i responded with«what’s wrong?» she then replied, saying that she was running low on change since so many customers kept asking her for change. seriously??? i’m sure this is a common occurrence, for larger groups to request change before paying the bill, and i’d be surprised if hobee’s didn’t have enough change for everyone at 11am, which is still hours away from closing time! i did get my change, b/c apparently she did have have enough, but i really could have done without the attitude and whining. for the quality and quantity of food alone, i’d have given a 4-star rating, but with the delayed cream being brought to our table and whining cashier, i’m deducting a star.

Great«Dot.Com» omelette. Sundries tomato topping was excellent. Staff was courteous and efficient. Stevens Creek Blvd on a Saturday. Loved the architecture of this one — don’t know if others are the same: clear glass and wood.

tl;dr: solid breakfast food at a solid breakfast spot. Food: I typically am very indecisive when ordering and the menu made it pretty hard because everything looked good. I eventually settled for the Tamale Pie and Eggs Eye Opener. I got a huge plate with tamale pie, eggs, and hash browns and also their well-known blueberry coffee cake.(Their hash browns seem to be diced potato slices instead of thinner strips of potato but it probably is just the way they define hash browns.) Everything was really good. The eggs and hash browns were solid, can’t go wrong there. The tamale pie was less like a tamale than I expected but it was very filling. Came with avocado on top! And salsa and sour cream. The coffee cake slice was huuuge so I split it with a friend. Love the crumbly topping. Store: There’s a good level of chatter around, not enough to distract from conversation but enough to give it the coffeeshop vibe. Their store is well lit with glass windows on one side that let in natural light. Service: The staff was very helpful and friendly. I was having a hard time deciding and they very helpfully answered my questions. They were also very accomodating to my lactose intolerance and made the tamale pie w/o cheese.

I LOVE this place! I grew up in the Bay Area and Hobee’s is a South Bay staple. Every time I come here I order from the breakfast/brunch menu. Tamale pie and eggs eye opener is my current favorite. The tamale pie is flavorful and tastes delicious with over easy eggs. Amazing. The service is always exceptional and everyone is very friendly. It can be extremely busy here on weekends and for breakfast, but I think the food is worth the wait. This is my standard get together with Bay Area friends for brunch location and the menu is sure to satisfy anyone and everyone.

Hobee’s has been around for 40 something years. It also looks that way. Came here to meet a friend for coffee and chats for a couple of hours. The waitstaff is extremely slow. We had 3 different waiters, no one knew what was going on or who was responsible for our order. We placed our order almost 45 minutes after being seated. They seemed severely understaffed even though there weren’t many people there at the time. It’s cool though, we were preoccupied with catching up. I had coffee with 5 or so refills and a blueberry coffee cake. They bring this cake out steaming hot with a small scoop of butter on the side. Although I can’t say it’s the best I’ve ever eaten, it’s pretty good. The blueberry to cake ratio was a bit off, but I still ate the majority of it. Friend 1 got an omelet with side of avocado and a blueberry coffee cake; and Friend 2 got hash browns. The hash browns aren’t grated, they come in small pieces. Friend 1 was satisfied with her meal and Friend 2 said it was alright. I wouldn’t compare this to a Denny’s or IHOP because the only thing they have in common is they are diner-ish. The experience, service, selection of foods, quality, and ambiance is completely different. I didn’t try any of the food. I can’t believe I ate almost the entire coffee cake. I mean, I can. But still. Yeah.
