The wifey is viet so we get phở cravings every now and then. We checked this place out because it was close to my parent’s house. It’s just another average phở joint. Nothing good or bad about it. It’s across the street from a large community college, so I’m sure they get good business. I recommend Phở Wagon right on the other side of 280.

Phở has been sounding so good to me lately, probably because one of my facebook friends has been taking pictures of bowls of phở that have been eaten down to the last spoonful of juice. Since we moved from Sunnyvale, I’ve been trying to find a good, local phở place in my new neighborhood. When my friend suggested we try this one, I jumped at the idea. It was new for her too, so we both went in without expectations. In the Town and Country-like mall across from DeAnza College, the setting brought back memories of the chinese restaurant that used to occupy this spot(OMG, they had the BEST stuffed eggplant). It was rather elegant. Phở Linh isn’t elegant, but it is very clean. Everything is wiped down and swept up. The menu is three pages of appetizers, phở, rice and noodle dishes and drinks. We shared and fresh spring roll with shrimp that came with a delicious peanuty sauce. There were only ten combinations of phở, and I did see the combo I lik(tendon and tripe), so I asked the waiter if I could have that and he agreed. This sort of place doesn’t stand on ceremony, our phở and appetizer came at the same time. The spring rolls were fresh and plump and chewy. I was a little disappointed by the phở, which as you know, is a rich beef broth with noddles. The broth was a little on the lighter side of a truly good phở. Sometimes when I go, I notice that phở restaurants give me less basil or jalepeno peppers. Laura and I were served only two fronds of basil. I started to take it personally, until I looked at what they were serving the other patrons and I realized that everyone got two fronds. We asked for more basil, they brought two more fronds. Total count on the jalepeno slices: three. I know because I took two and left Laura with the biggest one. There was the requisite pile of sprouts and two tiny lime wedges. Let’s talk meat. I counted two eyelashes of tripe, but probably about ten dime-sized tendon pieces. The tendon was perfectly done, but… I wanted a slab of it, you tendon lovers will know what I mean! The service was efficient and polite. Only one thing… they tried to change the tiny bowl/spoon holder at our table that had the number twelve on it with one that thirteen on it. I objected because I thought that they could wait and do that when we had left(althought Laura said that 13 was her lucky number, it is not mine. Although I had a good time with Laura, I think there just has to be a better phở place closer to me! My medium bowl of phở was in the 6.75 range. The spring roll was 4.50.

I love that they give you cilantro and that there are copious toppings. It’s a little over-priced BUT the servings are pretty large and since there are toppings, it totally makes sense. The only con I had is that it kind of smelled like bathroom. blah.

Listen, I know phở wasn’t meant to be vegetarian, but this place is still lacking a little something special when compared to vegetarian phở i have had at other restaurants. There is another review down here describing the veggie phở, they have changed the way they do the dish since then :(They are quite skimpy on the veggies, and the tofu is like a sweet fried spongy cake that doesn’t match the soup well. On the plus side, the service is attentive and polite. When ordering, the waiter asked me if i was a vegetarian and made sure that no fish sauce was used in my dish.

No thanks. Phở here sucks. Sorry to be so mean, but I must say its not that great. I have tasted much better. And this place is not even good. I wish tofu house was here.

Hey, this place is pretty good! So far I’ve been here twice and both times I liked what I got; basic standard phở; salty, delicious, and full of noodles and all the fixings. I don’t really think its that over priced, but I havent been to many phở places so I can’t really compare. Ive had the no meat phở($ 5) and the shrimp phở($ 6.50) which came with about 7 or 8 shrimp. Both times I got my food within minutes of ordering, which is awesome because I was huungry! Service was nice and friendly, but don’t expect them to bring you a check– you have to go up and pay yourself. The place is nice and clean, which is a change compared to Phở Hoa which I thought was dingey and an unappetizing environment.

Me, it’s a bit pricey, ok food, fair portions and overall pretty good. We went in for a late dinner, it was 9:00pm and they were the only phở place open late. Located in a shopping center there is plenty of parking and space. Walk in and it’s spacious and open, a little bland in appearence but clean. There were three other parties there, the tv was on a basketball game and we were seated quickly. I ordered a Bun — vermicilli combination. The shrimp on a skewer was pretty good and juicy. The meat though was much too fatty and the egg roll definetly needed the sauce since it was a bit dry. The cilantro, carrots etc were fresh and overall it was pretty good but not great and again the price was a bit high for the amount. He got standard beef phở, turned out to be pretty spicey, fairly good but not great. The service was ok, nothing standing out either way as friendly or rude. Eh but it was quick and attentive enough. Eh, I’ve had better, cheaper, nicer. .. I wouldn’t come out of my way to come here again.

A few weeks ago, I noticed this place as I drove by. A new phở joint close to home? I’ve got to try it. Unfortunately, the evening my husband decided to try this place I had phở for lunch. So there was no way I was going to have it again. While everyone else in my family had phở, I sampled the following items: 1. BBQ pork. If you try nothing else here, you must try this. It was so delicious. I don’t have any restaurants to compare this to, I’ve never had it before. But I think we’ll order this each and every time we come back. 2. Fried Egg Roll. I’m usually not a big fan of egg rolls, but I actually like this egg roll better than most. It was less greasy than other egg rolls I’ve tried.(Interesting, my husband’s complaint is that it wasn’t greasy enough!) 3. Lemongrass Chicken Curry: Mmmmmmm. This was so flavorful and delicious, but not too spicy. When my husband complimented the staff on the curry, the chef came out and was genuinely flattered by the compliment. Very cute. The restaurant itself was very clean and I found the service to be prompt and attentive without being overly solicitous. We will definitely come back here again and again.

This place is fairly new because it is in the same building as the old Royal Tofu House. When me and my friends walked in, the place was very friendly, welcoming our company. I ordered the large phở with rare and cooked brisket and it was a lot bigger than i thought and were very generous with the amount they gave me! Almost more meat than noodles! i was very surprised, def made my dinner a good experience

Great Phở! I’m vegetarian, so I got the veggie phở. There was a TON of good stuff in it!(see the pic I added) There were these little fake shrimp and this sliced stuff that tasted just like turkey, along with a ton of good veggies! It was really good. Service was lacking, but that’s to be expected from a phở joint… which is really sad. See my review of Phở Tau Bay…

Had lunch here today… not bad… pretty good phở… broth was a bit richer than I’m used to. Good sized portions, prices that weren’t too high. and the staff was quick and friendly. It’s not necessarily in my path or convenient. but definitely not a place to stray away from.

I wish Phở Linh was there when I was a student at De Anza … =j because iiiiiiiii loved it! Right by the 85/Steven’s Creek. Nice interior and friendly fluet English speaking staff! Don’t lie… you know that’s a plus! Even though I’m Vietnamese I think my friend totally apprciated it! I had the PHODACBIET: Phở noodles with a veriety of beef, brisket, tripe, beef balls, and tendon. It was just the right flavor, consistency, and tempurature! The noodles were cooked to perfection and the broth was smooth and delicious… I didn’t have to add my usual amount of hoisin sauce to it, and my friends know. that’s usually a lot! I even finished all of my soup yup to the very last drop… that’s something that I actually don’t usually do haha! I spent about $ 8 on a medium bowl including tip, and yes they take credit/debit… extra plus! QUALITYPLUSQUANTITYEQUALSYUMANDYAY! =P My friend and I can’t wait to go back and try their rice plates! I didn’t even know we had options other than phở till I signed back on to go through all the reviews…(I was too hungry and didn’t even go over the menu) they might just get an updated 5 stars from me after that trip! Theres not many phở places(let alone gooood and serving Vietnamese rice plates, with all the good fixings available!) around here… so we gladly welcome them to the neighborhood! p. s. yes I’m super full now =P

I changed my rating from 4 stars to 3 stars. I guess when I first tried this place it seemed super delicious because I was famished. My boyfriend and I went back a couple of days ago and we ordered the same thing(the lemon grass chicken curry $ the combo phở). This time we were not overly hungry and I realized that the food they make is a little bit inconsistent. One day it tasted really really amazing and then the next couple of times it was only okay. In general. this place is pretty clean and I am happy with the service. I usual order their lemongrass chicken curry because I LOVED it when I first tried it. However, lately it has been tasting rather too sweet. The phở is pretty good and I think the portions are just right(I’m not quite sure why other people think the portions are small because I think they’re about the same size. if anything. it might be a little smaller but it isn’t noticeably different). Overall, the #1 reason why I keeps me coming back to PHOLINH is due to their good service. It’s rare that you receive pretty good service at a phở place, which I think goes a long way. The food here is usually pretty good but beware… whatever you order this time might not taste the same the next time you order it. RECOMMENDATION: This place is hands down better than the PHOHOA on de anza. I would recommend driving a little further to eat at this phở place and try it out for yourself!

I accidentally came here instead of to the other new Phở place in Cupertino, Phở Minh. Whoops. This one was better anyway(yes I’ve tried them both). I wanted to Unilocal it but no one had yet, and I wasn’t sure what the name was. Phở Linh is a very big, clean restaurant in one of Cupertino’s plazas, situated across from De Anza College. It was really empty when I came, so service was pretty great, except for the last part when I waited to get the bill and it never came – you are supposed to go pay at the cashier station. The phở( ) was delicious, although I wish they had a just-brisket option – I do not like fatty meat and must pick it out from my soup. The beef was very tender, the noodles were great, and the broth was soothing and slightly peppery. I could have used MORE meat actually. That being said, Phở Minh gives much more meat compared to Phở Linh, but the quality is not as good. Quality over quantity, so 4 stars for Phở Linh.
