Technology Credit Union

There have been hard checks twice on my account. They cannot even open an account for me. I was asked to do it online. Lot of unnecessary verification and documents needed to proceed further. talked to mre than 4 representatives just to proceed with the auto loan. Per month breakdown of the loan was also wrongly calculated. Had to have an alert eye on the per month breakdown of the payment. Hidden charges. Representaives are not at all concerned.

Long story short: I opened an account with $ 100, left it inactive for several years and got charged $ 5 «inactive account» fees for 8 months, bringing me down to $ 60. Once I caught wind, I called them directly and the best they could offer was to reverse $ 10. I gave them plenty of opportunities to make things right and to continue the relationship but they held firm and insisted that $ 10 was already an exception and a generous offer.
Really? Is this how customer service works at a credit union?
I’m happy to take my business elsewhere. Enjoy your $ 30, TechCU Cupertino. We’re done.

Very unfriendly to business, avoid if you are a business owner. So after a fiasco with Bank of America where they lost my checks and wouldn’t admit it, I wanted to switch bank since I lost trust in BofA. I went to TechCU to open a business account since I’ve already had my personal account there. The girl, Michelle, said I need a business license, so I went home, print out my business tax certificate, brought it back, whereby Michelle and her manager looked at it then said I don’t really need to show a business tax certificate, no wait, after conferring between themselves, they do want to see the original business tax certificate with a seal! So I said is that really necessary and is it writtened in their policy manual, perhaps they can show it to me. They then proceed to say there is no policy, they just sort of made it up, like out of the blue, they say policy is different everywhere. I promptly walked out, methink I’ll take my money and go elsewhere. I don’t have a writtened policy on how to choose a credit union or bank, but at least the bank or credit union that I bank at should have a policy manual on how to conduct business.

I have a credit with Cupertino’s Technology Credit Union. The girl who gave us the credit had been very nice.
Today I phoned CU to explain them that the Department of Motor Vehicles misspelled my husband’s name in the Registration Form from the car we gave as insurance to pay our credit. The guy who answered me, David Marks, told me that I needed to pay $ 15.00 so they can make that change. I told him that I thought it was unfair because we had a prior Registration form and all our documents with CU with the right name written. Then he told me that it was a mistake of the dealership. I was trying to ask him how it can be a mistake of our dealership if the mistake appeared after we gave our car in warranty and not when we bought it.
I was not even arguing, I was cool all the time but I was very confused with this information David Marks was giving to me. Then he hanged out the phone to me!
Please, if you dial 408−467−2387, DO NOT CHOOSE EXTENSION 4!!! That guy is rude!!!
That is the reason I am giving 1 poor rating. Everybody else are nice people.

Tech CU has been my bank for many, many years. They have always gone above and beyond to make it easy to work with them. I have used them for more and more over the years from loans to investment accounts and I can say that I have been extremely happy with everything. I recommend — and even more importantly trust — them highly.

I have been a member of this Credit Union for almost a year and have encountered the only 2 NSF fees of my entire life because they feel the need to place 10 day holds on my deposits. The first incident happened on the very first check that I deposited into this bank which then bounced when my landlord tried to cash my check. I could forgive this one. This latest incident occurred when I deposited the only paper check I am going to receive from my employer. They actually placed a 10 day hold on my paycheck even though I had more than enough to cover the amount in my Savings account many times over! The explanation for this was because my account had a previous NSF charge, that of which only existed because they a placed a hold on my first deposit. They kindly refunded my NSF charges but that doesn’t help my reputation with my landlord or pay his NSF fee. After this is all sorted, I’m pulling my money from this place and closing my accounts. Unbelievable experience!

I’ve been with them for 25 years and I’m unhappy to say they have turned into a bank. I have tens of thousands of dollars in checking and savings accounts right now and $ 90K in a HELOC account. Never a problem with any of those accounts, but because my credit report showed a few late payments over a period of 7 years, they declined my auto loan. When I indicated that I would leave the credit union, they could not care less.
The worse part about this is that it hurts them and it hurts me — what a lousy deal.

OMG, where to start? Tech CU is by far my favorite bank of all time, specifically the Cupertino branch. I have been banking with them for at least 6 years now and I will never bank anywhere else again! They always provide superior customer service, in the branch and on the phone. The more I come in, the more they get to know me and now we are on a first name basis.
The most recent service I received was dealing with identity theft. I received a phone call for suspicious activity within a few hours of the false purchases. Immediately they were able to stop the transaction and block my card. David Mok was the person I went to and he did everything in his power to stop the theft! My card was blocked immediately and he was able to get a brand new card for me right there on the spot. He encouraged me to check my online banking more frequently and to be aware of my account as often as I can.
Unfortunately for me, I found out the next day that one of the false transactions slipped through. I called him right away and he told me to come in asap to file for a fraudulent charge. I came in first thing in the morning to work it out. David was out of the office but I was assisted by both Jamie and Brian with the same friendliness and care as I have always received. The service was amazing and quick. Jamie looked up my account and informed me of the charges that went through. Brian took over and walked me through the process to file a dispute and affidavit. It is understandable that identity theft cannot be stopped but Brian gave me some tips on how to keep updated on my account and aware of my spending.
The Cupertino branch is by far the best team I have ever dealt with. They always explain things thoroughly and make sure I understand what is going on. They are always friendly and outgoing and really care about their customers. Keep it up Cupertino! You’ve got a life long customer!

So far, this has been my favourite banking experience in south bay. If you go to this location, get David M. He is fantastic. While it took some time to get us all set up (we were doing a loan on top of setting up accounts), he took care of all the details and got everything done the right way the first time. This is the type of service I expect to get from a bank but rarely do.
Since setting up our banking, I needed some help on billpay and that sort of thing, and I gave David a call expecting to hear from him in a couple days. I got a call within the hour answering all my questions.
You want exceptional service, this is the place! Great job David — keep it up!

The bank Manager, she is very rude and she said to me that she is doing favor to me when I asked her for recent transaction with date and stamp of bank on it.
I have been going to this De-​Anza, Cupertino branch from last more than 15-​years. None of the bank Managers showed attitude, and were very helpful.
