The sandwiches are thick and the coffee is excellent although a bit pricey. It’s open 24 hours and usually has the presence of a cop or two. A great place to converse over coffee but the tables sit a maximum of 3 so keep the group small. The baked goods are to die for.

What a difference a year makes! They are getting the hang of things. The staff has uniforms, they aren’t on their cell phones and the customers are getting their orders MUCH faster. It seems more like the Pinecrest location now. They have labeled everything which makes ordering easier. People seemed content this Saturday morning. My only reason for not giving the five stars is that I have been calling every day to speak to the owner but he never calls back.

so I gave these people another chance and made a small order that would be very easy to accomplish but again this bakery was not able to get it together, it’s actually kind of sad. Last night I went into the bakery at 9p and made a very simple order, 75 croquetas to be picked up today at 9am… simple. They found a way to screw this up, my wife actually gave them time to fix another screw up, she went and picked it up at 10:30am but guess what the order was not ready, she had to wait 15minutes for them to fry all the croquetas. Again, this is a problem when these marimberos just want to get rich quick, they open a business and hire without any training in customer service and/or training in their position they apply for.

This specific location offers a horrible service unless you are a male. Today in the morning around 7:00 am went to the bakery for breakfast with my coworker. The lady took his order, and ignored me. My coworker had to tell her to take my order. I ordered egg white and tostadas. They made it as a sandwich. I took it back and told her I didn’t wanted an egg sandwich .egg whites and tostadas. That comes separately. In less than a min they told me «here’s your eggs» they had the nerves to use the same eggs from the sandwich instead of making a fresh order. I found it very disrespectful. I end up not eating the eggs. So my advice to you if you want horrible service, yeah go ahead go to that location. U might get lucky if you a male and get great service. I wish they had a 1800 number so I can complaint. I don’t appreciate the way I was treated. I’m never going back.

I wouldn’t give this place a star if I didn’t have to. But I do. There needs to be a sign on the door«unless you speak Spanish 100% we will not serve you or even try to cooperate with you whatsoever». Whoever hires these people needs to make sure that they can actually communicate with people who DONOT speak Spanish. The two women who are working there were just plain rude and dreadful. We tried our best to communicate with them. They wouldn’t even try. The lady actually walked away while I was speaking and went in the back. I kind of stood there in amazement. Soon to realize when the next customers came in both the workers understand and spoke a little English. Ridiculous. Management needs to do something about this.

As a single dad with a weird schedule this place is affordable, good food, a good selection, clean, and always open. I highly recommend

when i looked up this place and saw all the reviews, i had my doubts but i do believe in second chances and based on the track record, i also had hope that the issues others raised have been addressed by management… …and the verdict is — a resounding improvement both in customer service and the overall experience! the food was very good from tostada de queso to the tequeńos and the pasteles(sans the pizza pastel) the serving staff was very attentive and courteous and at times were a bit too«lost» in their own cultural way of communicating but it is understood because this after all, in its basic form, is a cuban bakery and the«cuban» culture is part of that naturally… one cool thing that happened was that the lady taking my order did not automatically talk to me in spanish which i find surprising because usually in these places, spanish is spoken by default regardless of your race or color… to the owner, kudos for taking the proper steps to addressing the complaints and if i have one suggestion to make the experience even better or perhaps more efficient would be to have people order and pay on one end and to pickup their order on the other end and when they call out the order to not only say it in spanish but in english as well

After reading so many negative reviews I decided not to go but since I have a tendency to always want to experience things first hand before I form an opinion I convinced my fiancé to go any way and risk having a bad experience. So here is what I found. I went on a Saturday at lunch time. There were 8 customers in the store; some of them had already ordered and were only waiting for their order. There is a number system which so far seems to work in terms of managing a large crowd. It took 3.30 mins before they took my order and a total of 8 for my entire order to be out. Not bad. The place is nice and clean. No problems there. There was a total of 4 ladies behind the counter and there seemed to be a lot of confusion and mixups with the orders. They don’t have a very good system as far as organization goes but they were sweet and not rude at all so finding a good system could improve the overall experience in a big way. The food was really good so my only observation would be how disorganized their system is. They may want to look into taking orders that are ready to the other end of the counter sort of like Starbucks does. This would get customers used to picking up their orders in one spot because I noticed people wandering around, etc and not being able to hear the severs calls when their food was ready so I think that having an area for pick up like towards the end of the counter will improve things considerably. This would also prevent customers waiting for their order from gathering around the register and the the area where other customers are supposed to place their orders and crowding the counter area which makes it hard for those ordering to see the pastries and items that are on display. Again, for a quick fix, direct people who already ordered to a designated pick up spot. Everything else was good. Hopefully they will make some adjustments so the order placing process is less convoluted.

Received a private message from Pinecrest Bakery. The writer identified himself as a Partner. In his message he states that he doubts the person I claim to be an Owner was actually an Owner and that I was«assuming». I did my research prior to making that statement and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the person I witnessed is all over Pinecrest Bakery’s Facebook page and«YES» he is an Owner. And the message sent to me was just as RUDE as him. Perhaps it’s the same person? ~Pinecrest Bakery just lost a customer!

I was so disappointed! Took my mother there bc the one on 128 is great… Here the attention was terrible, the lady had no idea what anything is. She said to me «next» looking at me, I ask if they had a pastelito I wanted and she started to have a conversation with one of her coworkers… After like two minutes she turns around and ask me if I new what I want… Then I get a cachito that she told me it was ham… And I still don’t know what it was because it was not ham in there … I think it was cheese but very little… It was just a piece of bread… Horrible… They need to get more organize and have the Cook from 128 come over and train this ones. I hope they get their stuff toguether because we need a good bakery around here!

I was very happy they opened in Cutler Bay; however, the service is too slow! Only 2 people behind the counter and the line won’t move! They need to implement a much better and efficient service if not, people would rather go to another place!

I am so psyched that they opened a Pinecrest Bakery so close to my home! Prior to this I had to travel to Pinecrest or Homestead for pastelitos, croquettas and bocaditos. All are amazing!
