Typical Chinese food. Good prices. Not very friendly though. They had to ask the same questions over and over because they weren’t paying attention to my answers. Overall the experience was fine. Will be back if I’m in the area but I wouldn’t go out of the way for it.

Based on our last experience, we decided to try them again. Big mistake! First of all, I tried to order a healthy tofu dish, even specifying that it not be fried. What did I end up with? Fried tofu and the batter surrounding the tofu was awful. Same thing with the sweet and sour chicken. Battered, fried lumps of chicken. The batter was really strange and thick. Nobody wanted to eat it, not even the kids. Seafood delight had big lumps of artificial crab. Nice. The flavor on the hot and sour soup was way off. They did better with the Mongolian beef, chicken chow mein, and shrimp and vegetables. But still, the dishes were just average. We ended up with tons of leftovers. I wonder why.

The food is always hot and very good. Fried rice is a little lacking in flavor but everything else is always spot on. We oder regularly and have had a good amount of the menu. Delivery guy is super friendly and knows us well. Highly recommend

So I found this place through the app. This place is a small mom and pop Chinese restaurant in a shopping center. Don’t let that fool you. I have a prior review of 888 Chinese restaurant where I rave about their sweet and sour soup. Well this place has them beat. The two soups taste exactly the same however this place’s has way more veggies in it. Very hearty. I ordered the lunch tangy and spicy shrimp(see picture). The shrimp was pretty big. The dish had great flavor. And the lunch portion was definitely filling. What’s more impressive was the speed of service. I was talking my third bite of soup when my entrée arrived, steaming hot. The only negative thing I can say about this restaurant was that the only thing they had playing for music was Mariah Carey’s Without You on repeat. Oh and don’t let the Sriracha fool you. It’s not real Sriracha. Great value! Lunch Tangy Spicy Shrimp that came with hot and sour soup and an egg roll and a fountain drink totaled $ 8.95!!!

Overpriced average Chinese food. Great Wall is 3 miles down and for less than a plate, you get a buffet that matches and possibly exceeds the flavor here. They’re well known for take out. That’s a nice service for people who are stuck at work. Other than that, dine in elsewhere.

Pros: Ambience is nice, clean, comfortable. Popular take out place. Generous portions of meat, inexpensive, super fast turn around of order, friendly waiter, no MSG. Cons: Sketchy strip, outside view looks dark and dull

Our food took 2 hours and when it finally arrived it was ice cold. It was the worst Chinese food we’ve ever had. Our order was not even complete. Several items were missing. We ended up throwing most of it away. Never Again… Save yourselves the trouble and bad food. F — –

I’m going to make this one short and sweet. Tea: Taste like it was made from water imported from the Florida swamps. Sesame Chicken: Actually really good. Meat has just the right crisp. Fried Rice: Nothing short of horrible. For the sake of eating don’t put the fried rice in your mouth. Egg Roll: Only eatable if you don’t use your tongue. The service is lacking. The lady host comes off a bit rude. She wouldn’t even use my Unilocal check in offer. The gentleman that brings your food is very courteous so one star goes for him. 2 for the Sesame Chicken. I have to assume that they are a husband and wife team. She needs a lesson in customer service. You buy we fry and prosper!

This is the best Chinese delivery in the cypress area. I have tried many of them and China 9 is consistently solid. My wife and I have had the Mongolian Beef, Triple Delight and General Tso’s, they were all very good.

I did a review for this place almost three years ago and wanted to revisit my love for China 9. We have a baby now, so often end up either delivery or carry out. No matter how we get our food, the tall guy always remembers us. Even when he delivers to my door he recognizes my face and I love that about them. Food is still awesome you get a lot for the price and it is always piping hot. Lunch specials are also really great and tasty. As far as Chinese goes in this area, it is as good as it gets. If you don’t like it oh well. I have seen plenty of people in there when I pick up and seen lots of orders to go when I dine in, so they are not suffering for business. A tip — when you order delivery pay cash. The lady that sometimes answers the phone really has a hard time spelling street names correctly, even when you spell it for her. I am always amazed that they find our place once I see how our street came out. So pay cash in case they do not find you. Lol. Pick up is fast, your food is almost always ready in 10 minutes.

Love Love Love China 9!!! The staff is very polite and welcoming as soon as you walk in the door, Prices arent bad and the décor is more modern than some. The resturaunt is always clean and the service is quick. I usually order wonton soup, egg rolls, mongolian beef, or garlic shrimp. Last time i decided to go big or go home and order some crab ragoons instead of my egg rolls. The crab ragoons were pretty good(coming from someone who only orders them a few times a year) although they were of course, greasy. DUH-they’re fried, i know. The egg rolls are usually crispy and hot, sometimes too hot to eat which makes them even better. Mongolian beef is your traditional style with a little extra green onion and is DELICIOUS. Garlic Shrimp, has to be my favorite item on the menu. Very flavorful and just the right portion to make 2 meals out of it. Now, the Thai Curry… I was expecting green curry and still ended up with some red-ish very spicy not so much curry but chicken with some sauce. It was still good, just not what i was expecting and confused me a little. I would recommend this place in a heart beat!

This is the fifth Chinese Food delivery I have tried in my area of Cypress. Note: They DO deliver, I was not sure how to change that on the info. I was a bit miffed that China 9 didn’t have a website, but I was able to find menu items through the photo gallery above. Thank you to whoever posted them! What I ordered: Wonton Soup — Tasty and consistent with most Chinese Food delivery places. Fried Wontons(The ones for the soup) They seemed under-cooked. Usually you have a nice golden brown color, but these were still tan and just slightly crispy. Still good. Crab Puffs — As with the fried wontons these were still a bit mushy(not disgustingly mushy, but not as crispy as normal.) I imagine with these fried items they may have been rushed or busy. Maybe one of their deep fryers broke and they needed one for everything? This is an easy fix for me because I am great with a toaster oven. :) Pan Fried Pork Dumplings — These didn’t come in the form I am used to,(the«twisted bag» form), but in a more ravioli like press. It didn’t hurt the flavor, I just thought it was interesting. They were tasty and hot. Chicken with Garlic Sauce(Ordered extra spicy) — Quite tasty and has some of the spice I was looking for. I am normally someone who loves really spicy, but I understand others don’t and usually everything is toned down because of those people. I will give this place another chance with the deep-fried items. Overall, I quite enjoyed everything. ~ Tahiti
