Dont get me wrong, I remember this place back when it was next to the highschool. Had a nice homey atmosphere and would always eat there after a good work out run for some biscuits and gravy that was to die for! Soooooo amazing! Now they moved over to a new location, not too far away and I decided to stop in with a friend for a nice Sunday night meal. The open sign was on and there were a few cars parked out front. When we walked in, nothing. No one moved we kind of stood there awkwardly waiting for a hello or menu. A man told us to pick a booth and order drink. Brought back drinks and tossed our straws onto the table. Didn’t bother me that much. Nit picky right now. I had trouble deciding what to have being extremely hungry everything sounded good. Our waitress rolled her eyes at us when I asked for more time twice… Feeling sorry for her I just ordered the biscuits and gravy and my friend ordered this pasta dish angel hair pramoda something like that… coming back with the food the pasta was absolutely horrible… just nasty smelling ad at the bottom of the bowl was nothing but a basin of olive oil. My biscuits were so cold but still fluffy, tasted at friend great and then… plain tasteless soup… During out meal the waitress gave me the video saying«hurry up. and pay the register is closing soon so just pay. Just saying.» If they wanted us out in 30 minutes don’t have the open light on and expect us to scarf our food down! I didn’t know u were closing! So we stopped and paid b it never came back for the check. And never refilled our water. There was only 1 other Table with people. I gave up waiting and went to give her the cash, SHEWASFRIGGINGTEXTINGONHERPHONE. TEXTING! OURWAITRESSTELLINGUSTOHURRYIS Texting at the front counter… I can’t even. NEVERNEVERGOINGBACKEVER. Loud IHOP is better than this crap service…

I love diners, and this one is perfect. Our waitress was really nice, and my wife and I enjoyed our food. The owner even came over to us to ask how we were enjoying our food.

They have the three best ingredients for a good restaurant… good food, good décor and good people. Employees made us feel like personally welcomed guests in there own home. The friendly staff served us delicious home style comfort food and the décor is more like a close friends living room, very warm and almost familiar atmosphere. Will be returning.

This is a decent, comfortable place to eat. Food is very good and service is pleasant. Unlike some customers like Pauline O and Sarah G, who could not be pleased no matter what, I’ve always had a great experience.

Bad Customer service, and very rude been coming here almost everyday just because we are around the corner and convenient, that we walk there, but every time we come it seems to get worse. Today my friend had a cup of water with dried milk at the bottom, we didn’t notice until she asked for her refill and stirred the water. So that means she drank water with dry milk. Ewww!!! We asked to speak with the owner Marlene and she said sorry things happen, I asked to see if something can be done, like take a damn coffee off my bill she said no, & said we don’t have to come back if we don’t want to. Wow. Just horrible. Will never come back. Sorry if you feel different about this review this is just my personal experience. Will be making the drive to Kimmie’s. Way better service and they accommodate any changes we want to make.

They worst café ever! The owner Marlene, is a racist rude bitch that is very unwelcoming and unprofessional. Always something wrong with our orders. Dry milk in glass cups drop water everywhere while pouring. Unwilling to accommodate special diets… NEVEREVERWILL I GOHEREAGAIN! The only reason they get a star is because I have to push it to move on!

I’m glad I got let to explore new places around my area thanks to Unilocal!Came here with a friend to try out their breakfast stuff. It’s a very quaint diner and our server was pretty nice and so hip! Love that she described their pancakes as «da bomb» when asked how it was. With that description how can you not try it? So I did and it was«da bomb» like our server said. Probably the best buttermilk pancake I had around. It was moist and flavorful! I’ve always had the Denver omelet and I love that they give you a side or pancake with it if you prefer that over the toast. I love my sweet and salty! Coffee was good here too. They come by often to refill it and I love that. Very friendly service and the food is delicious. It can get busy over the weekends during breakfast hours but I never waited more than 5 minutes for a table. People eat and they smile as they leave and I never felt rushed to leave even during the busy hours. Definitely, a must try and I maybe addicted to their pancakes so I probably be back for more. Yum!

Can’t love it more. I got attracted to this place with its inflated turkey and Santa during the holiday season. And the diner is very tradition style decorated. Food is very good. We went there on a Sunday for brunch. The Dalton omelette can’t be better! The home made muffin is huge and has all the fancy flavored. Love it and hope I can get to taste all the choices if I come by later lol. I tried the raspberry one and really good. My hubby ordered the Louisiana sausage which honestly is too salty: p but the toast is good and the eggs and hash brown :) it’s pretty high calorie, but worth it. Hmm again love the decoration.

My family and I were in town for a couple days doing the whole Disneyland thing, one morning we were on the search for a good place to have breakfast. We drive around to no avail, and turned to Unilocal for help. A few restaurants came up, but nothing stood out, then we came across Dalton’s, reviews looked good, pictures of the food looked appetizing, and it was only a 5 minute drive from where we were at! Upon walking in, it’s easy to see the restaurant has a very laid back, cozy, home like atmosphere. We were immediately greeted by the host,(a young man who’s name escapes me.) who seated us and took our drink orders right away. He was even kind enough to bring our son a black crayon when he asked for one. :) Our waitress, Debbie was outstanding. She’s warm, and friendly, and made us feel right at home. She even talked and played with our two sons. When we told her it was our first time there, we were given complimentary homemade(I think) cookies, which were delicious. Food was equally as good as the service and atmosphere. Since we make the trip to the OC every year for Disneyland, we’ve decided that Dalton’s is going to be part of our annual tradition.

After looking at a couple places nearby on Unilocal, I decided to come eat here for breakfast. When I came in I was seated fairly quickly, which is a plus, especially since it looked like they were super busy. I came around 9:30AM and got seated at a 2 person booth. My server was a young man(«K») and he was very polite and being that I literally got out of bed 15 minutes prior, I had to have my server repeat what he was saying since my brain wasn’t fully working. I read a lot of reviews prior about an old Dalton’s, but I’ve never been, so I’m speaking from a first timer’s perspective and for the MORNING experience. SYSTEM: Parking is decent due to a private lot(there’s more parking nearby the strip mall around the corner) Order from the menu(they have breakfast, lunch, and dinner options) Wait to be seated SERVICE: The service was pretty good. The young man that was my server was nice, but he seemed like he was super busy and a bit stressed out, which I totally understand(ex-head server, woo! haha). He came by to check on me a few times during my meal and accommodated my to-go order fairly well. He let me know that during my meal he’d put my to-go order in so that it’d be ready by the time I got my check. I changed the order on it midway, was told it’d be changed, but when I got it, it wasn’t changed. Guess he forgot, but it wasn’t a big deal. I just had to go home and cook it the way my friend wanted it. Other than that, just observing all the other servers here, it seemed like a very friendly family like environment. It seemed like there were a lot of regulars. FOOD: The food was pretty good. I’m not a big American breakfast fan, but the food came out hot, in a decent portion, and nicely presented compared to other places I’ve been to. I got the bacon avocado cheese omelette with pancakes and fruits. They gave a surprisingly good portion of bacon and I liked the fruit variety(but like most places, it seemed like the fruit’s been standing out). AMBIENCE: Very homey, noise level is average(you can talk to someone normally and they’d be able to hear you), good lighting, and everything seemed pretty clean. VERDICT: System: Normal Service: Good Food: Good Ambience: Friendly and casual

Classic Traditional Diner food from the golden years of the middle class American family. You will find all of your favorite leave it to beaver dishes including Country Fried Steak, Fried Chicken, Meatloaf Etc. They also have some newer Spanish inspired dishes that looked on paper to be amazing. I wanted to try the chorizo breakfast burrito and the chili verde omelette but decided on the Dalton Giant Burger a few recommended The burger was large(the picture doesn’t do it justice) and was amazing as ordered(I typically don’t add or remove things from the stock menu order as it is hard to review later as you’ve customized it to your tastes)

It is with a heavy heart that I have to ding Daltons. Before they moved we used to go once a month or more and were very satisfied with the quality and the cost. We have went twice to the new location which is closer to our home(a plus) but the quality, presentation and taste were missing. The prices for what we ordered were on the high side for a good meal… which we did not receive… sadly, in total for our two trips 14 plates were ordered and nothing was worth ordering again. LASTLY: At the old location we saw the regulars get special attention and that is fine… they are daily/weekly customers and friends. But when I place an order and a regular walks in 5 minutes later… and I hear and see them order… I do not expect to get my burger AFTER they get their smoking ribs and fried chicken and my burger is luke warm…25 minutes after I originally ordered. Sorry Daltons… major fail. No third trip for us.

Extensive menu offers something for everyone. Fresh, real ingredients used here, including baked treats. Service is prompt on a Saturday at 10 am in a full house, and delivered with a smile. Thank you, Deb! Plenty of free off street parking. Comfortable seating. We will definitely come back to eat again.

I’ve been a fan of Daltons for years. This was my first visit to the new location. It strikes me as funny that this very homey family restaurant is housed in what used to be a total dive bar. My husband says that Daltons makes the finest pancakes around. I had the corned beef hash and eggs. It is clearly canned, but I’m not complaining. Still good eats. Other noteworthy things about Daltons is their spectacular dessert case, and exceptional service.

First visit here. I never did get to the original location. My fault. Within walking distance now on a nice summery night, so why not. Greeted by friendly folks. Had a nice cold glass of Chardonnay. Warm night: needed that LOL My angel hair pasta was well prepared but maybe a tiny bit oily? But tasty. The vegetable soup was good n tasty too. Breakfast served all day? I’ll be back for a dinner omelette sometime.
