GreenStreet – Home Energy Efficiency

We really enjoyed the friendly but professional associates that came to discuss their services. The radiant barrier has been great this winter to keep our home heated without the heater running ²⁴⁄₇.

I had Green Street come by and install a number of upgrades to my home (built in 1971): solar attic fans, soffit vents, radiant barrier, increased insulation (from R12 to R38), and solar film on the windows. The energy consultant, Lee, who visited my house to determine what upgrades would be most helpful, was very professional and did an excellent job describing the function and benefits of each upgrade. From the the time Carl, the project manager, showed up at my house to the time the work was complete was a quick 4 hours. Carl was excellent at managing the 3 work crews and seeing that everything went smoothly. After the work was finished, Green Street filled out and submitted all the warranty paperwork and provided me with a filled out Form 5695 for my tax rebate (covering nearly 30% of the cost). In the month since the installation, my electricity bill decreased by 21% despite the fact that the weather got hotter.
