A very nice find — thank you Unilocal!Extensive and wide variety wine menu with something for everyone. The cheese plate we ordered with chorizo salami was not only delicious but presented well. Ambiance was as comfortable as one could ask for through a variety of configurations from bar height tables to comfortable sitting chairs. Will be going back!

We love to go to Hidden Cellar for a night out. On the weekends they have live music, the mood is relaxing and serene. Food and dessert is awesome — try the queso. Also the owners are usually there and are very friendly and welcoming. Wonderful place!

This place was awesome, a nice little gem tucked away. Do not be fooled by the quaint exterior: when one walks in, talk about ambiance. The Hidden Cellar has a warm, inviting, and had a «stay-a-while» feel. It was very clean, had an extensive wine selection, great tapas, decent proportions for sharing of two, plus the staff was friendly. The best surprise was when the lone musician started performing some soulful classics. His music resonated throughout the place, bringing another level of depth to our evening. My husband and I just sat and enjoyed the savory tunes. The ONLY reason I give this place 4 instead of 5 stars is because I like my pasta in my lasagna a little more al dente to give a variety of textures. The flavor and sauce were delicious, just a little too mushy. My husband agreed. We also felt the ratio of pita slices to hummus was disproportionate, but we easily ordered more slices to finish it off. How could we not? I am excited to go back one day to try out the olives, cheese and charcuterie boards. Thanks for the memorable experience! P. s For all that we ate and drank, our bill was very reasonable. Another plus!

Excellent atmosphere, excellent service! We were looking for a cozy, close to the house tapas/wine bar with Live music. And we were very pleased with our evening. We tried their homemade lasagna, Karen’s recipe(owner) and was very delishhhh! Lisa, owner, let us sample a Moscato from their wine list, which we will sure drink a bottle of next time. Cheese and cold meats to choose from– Totally recommend this place. We will be back!

This place is the best Wine bar/Bar/Hangout in Cypress area! I live downtown now but still come out to cypress to enjoy this place. Hidden Cellar is tucked away a little bit but once you discover it you won’t go anywhere else. There are so many good things to say about this place… First, the two ladies who own the place(Lisa and Karen) are amazing. I think they really listen to and understand the customers likes vs dislikes then give recommendations for wine based on that. I’ve never had a wine I didn’t like! These ladies plus the other wait staff go over and beyond to make sure your time here is memorable. It seems every time I come here anyone who is left, ‘shutting the place down’, toward the end of the night all gather up around the bar enjoying good drinks and laughs with each other. Around the bar they do have 2 big TV’s so ladies can bring their men here to enjoy wine in an intimate atmosphere and they can still watch the big game. They have good live music pretty frequently that isn’t to over bearing so you can still enjoy conversation with your table. The food is really good! You have to try the white Queso! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever had before. All the sandwiches are great and they have some food items that are only on the weekend. I had a pasta once that was really good. On Sunday’s they have 50% off wine by the glass from the bottles that are opened. If you’re not a wine drinker they have a good beer selection as well. If you ‘like’ them on Facebook you can see the monthly events/dinners the host. Also good to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, accomplishments etc.

Exceptional Wine Bar!!! Although it is located in a hard to find strip center(hence the name, i would guess), this place is fantastic. The ladies that run the place are extremely friendly, as is the staff. The food is always fantastic and the wine recommendations are spot on. It’s a great place to go for a date, date night, or just to meet other people. One cool thing about this place is that it has a regular crowd, so if you go a couple of times, you will feel right at home if you just want to stop in for one or two drinks. If you like wine or exotic beers, do yourself a favor and stop by this place. It really is the best wine bar that I have been to in Houston.

Location a little rough – cheap strip mall-ish. Interior was nicer and staff were lovely. They were out of food items and a wine we wanted, but were accommodating – let us taste plan B wines. Music was lovely. Honestly wouldn’t return though.

We enjoyed a Friday night out to listen to some live music. We debated trying a couple malbecs and they let us sample both prior to ordering. Really nice people here. Attentive service.

Been there once about a year ago. It’s ok. Husbands been back. He must like it more. I can’t write anything else beause I have nothing to say. I’m being forced to write more because my review is to short and won’t be posted. Here is a tip, stay home drink your wine, don’t drive, stay alive. Now my review is just average length. I guess that’s enough to get posted. Sorry I didn’t write a novel.

We absolutely LOVE this quaint little spot! When We moved to cypress and we went every weekend for the first few weekends. We still love going there but don’t go quite as often since I’m expecting. However excellent wine selection, excellent customer service, great entertainment and the place is beautiful! The owner is always walking around greeting customers, making sure you are seated when you walk in the door AND always refilling water glasses which is important. Not a single complaint. A favorite spot right off the bat! Food is good too!

I am an avid wine drinker, visiting wineries all over the countries whenever possible — from mega sized in Napa to small ones in Texas. From my past experience, This place used to be pretty good, but I guess they start to realize that their business is not as profitable, or they are already going down hill so fast that they are cutting every conner. But the biggest turn off is lack of customer service-i agree with the review 6÷3÷14. Asked for a sample but the owner said, «I don’t want to open a new bottle if you are not buying, we only open for three hours tomorrow.» Really? This place advertises as a wine tasting room. Then, my date was about to ask types of beer yet the owner rudely cut him off in the middle of it, and said«we don’t do beer sampling here».(At this point, it was quite clear for me that this place is no longer worth of visit) I also noticed that some of the dishes are not as good quality as before. All in all, it was rather an unpleasant experience and I wouldn’t be surprised if I find this place goes out of business.

Excellent little wine shop with a good selection of lighter food that pairs well with wine. They had a number of bottles open that you could chose from covering most of the styles. They were also very helpful finding a bottle to your likes from their selection in the shop.

I have heard about The Hidden Cellar, and decided to try it out. What a wonderful gem! It was so cozy and the ambiance was absolutely wonderful. One of the owners, Lisa, helped us throughout the night selecting wines and providing tastings for us. She was so awesome! I can’t wait to go back and try the food menu. I think this is going to be my new«spot»!

What a nice place to visit !! I was traveling on business and looking to unwind after a long day. A glass(turned into a bottle) seemed to be the ticket. After a quick search, I found the Hidden Cellar. A comfortable seating arrangement with both tables and a bar area. There are also TVs so you can catch the latest games. A menu also had several interesting items, although I did not eat. I will eat on my next visit for sure. The have a nice store to purchase wine accessories as well as bottles or cases of wine. The ladies who run the establishment also offer several ice cold beers if wine does not fit the needs that night. All in all, a very pleasant experience, I am glad I found a new hangout in Cypress.
