I’ve only been to a few liquor stores a handful of times in my life(the massive locations where the selection gets overwhelming). My observation in regards to customer service is that it has always been subpar every single time but I didn’t think much of it. I’m a creature of habit once I find my drinks of choice(think amaretto sours, chocolate martinis, etc) Yes i know i’m basic. I need help! I’ve always been interested in expanding my tasty girly-centric drink brands but I’m too indecisive. I don’t have the patience to spend 3 hours browsing the aisles and when i’ve sought advice i’ve never received original suggestions(have you tried bailey’s? pinnacle vodka? lime-a-rita’s?) REALLY? To be fair the employees i’ve approached did not come across as if we shared the same taste. It felt as if they just named random popular brands to get me out of their face as quickly as possible. I had some time to kill in the late afternoon recently so I randomly strolled in after visiting the aquarium in downtown. Well i’m here to say all liquor stores are NOT created equal. You immediately feel the quality of the environment the minute you step into this particular establishment. I walked in and was greeted with a warm welcome and every question I had was answered with depth and consideration. I also really enjoyed the intimate feel of the posh décor while I browsed and the personalized nature of their selection was really impressive. I just loved that the staff is approachable, patient, and most importantly knowledgeable(what a refreshing change!). I really appreciate the awesome recommendations and the information over FREE wine testings(YASS) and specials. My new Fave… the lovely experience all around is absolutely worth the drive!

Sadly not a big collection of wines like I was looking for.

Whenever I’m in Dallas, this is my go-to liquor store. The owners are very friendly and helpful and have a great selection with reasonable prices. The store is also clean and well kept unlike other liquor stores I’ve been to where the shelves are dusty and the bottles sticky. If there is ever a particular spirit I’m interested in trying, the owners are sure to acquiesce. I have also, on occasion, taken their advice on wine selections, and they have all turned out excellent. I will definitely continue to purchase my liquor at 1001, because there’s no reason to go anywhere else.

I don’t live in Dallas, but wanted to send a small wine basket to a colleague who lives there. I randomly selected 1001 Wine and Spirits based on its positive reviews and relative proximity to my colleague’s address, and called to inquire if they would help arrange to deliver a couple of bottles of wine and a personal note(that I emailed and they printed) as a surprise. The 1001 team really went above and beyond to help at every step — making suggestions based on my budget and basic parameters, packaging it up nicely with my note and — even though they didn’t have to – making multiple attempts to deliver before they managed to get her at home, just to keep it a surprise. I was really impressed by the professionalism, effort and customer service and would definitely recommend them to anyone in or outside of Dallas looking to arrange something similar.

I’m a wine person and, while there is not a large selection, every bottle I’ve purchased from here has been delicious. Plus, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Almost everything is $ 5 bucks or more then any other place I know it looks good but give me a break. All these other reviews look bogus too none of them tell you about the price what a shocker!

Considering the area and the random spot this store is placed in, it’s actually really nice inside. It’s not a massive store but they have a great selection. Everything is very well organized and easy to find. The staff is friendly and helpful when needed. Definitely a great a great spot to grab a few items as a gift or in your way home!

I went because this was the closest liquor store, and it has become the liquor store of chase. Clean, cute store with the most helpful staff! The staff is knowledgable and extremely personable. The offer(generous) tastings, and I’ve yet to be disappointed in a suggestion I’ve gotten, and I go frequently.

Helpful ordinary guys who aren’t pretentious, who you can imagine drinking with on a porch don’t mind giving me prices on the all the liquors I’m shopping for, since, somewhat annoyingly, nothing is labeled. The prices here are low on liquor and wines(bottles start around $ 10) for downtown, and the selection is good and varied considering the small space. The place has a local feel with it’s tidy long narrow hardwood space, and unlike the liquor store closer to the west end transfer center doesn’t feel like a scummy urban Detroit war zone frequented by bums with infectious scabies. Beer, with mix and match 6 packs, wine, liquor, candy and flowers. Open most days til around 9pm.

Great store, sketchy area. Owner(I think) was very courteous and helpful. They also have cigars, albeit a very limited selection.

Classy and professional service. Very upscale feeling without the upscale price. It is in a prime location, the heart of downtown. The staff is more then able and willing to meet your boozey needs. great selection! I have made this my new pit stop fro the weekend.

Easily the best liquor store downtown!!! The inside is nicely decorated and definitely doesn’t feel like your typical liquor store. There’s a lot of variety at decent prices. Personally, I love their micro-brew selection and they even let me build my own six pack! The owners are extremely helpful. The tall owner kept telling me how nice that I looked. Will go again!

This is a beautiful liquor store — unlike most — the new owners are very knowledgeable and have great personalities. The selections they offer are amazing! Now they offer local cheeses and coffee — what more could you ask for — great place to pick up a gift!

Classiest store we found downtown near the West End. The guys behind the counter were really friendly, and there weren’t sketchy people like the other stores we found downtown. Build your own 6 pack was clutch! We will probably be back tonight…

The new owners are great. Great selection and very good service. It’s good place to get a gift!!! Not like a lot of creepy rundown places. Whenever I’m in Dallas I go there to say hello.

Given all of the rundown liquor stores in and around the downtown area, it is truly refreshing to have 1001 Wine & Spirits strategically located in the West End area. I am partial to spirits and they always seem to carry my favorites(while occasionally offering suggestions on new products). Since the owners run the day-to-day operations, they have a vested interest in meeting/exceeding customers expectations. Customer service that shines is a rarity with many retail experiences, but here you feel special.

So before Victory Park Liquor opened on the ground floor of the 1001 Ross building in downtown it was an adventure to say the least to stock your bar at a liquor store in downtown. I mean everything else here is really just a stop for the crazies walking around to buy«Forties». Downtown liquor stores redefine sketchy in my book of Blaineisms. Which is why Victory Park Liquor really stands out against the competition. The store is small but amazing. Custom wood shelves stocked with ever boozy treat you could want. Need a gift basket they have those too! Really, I think it’s the nicest liquor store I’ve been in. Also, the owner and his wife are totally sweet too. Every time I go I end up with two full arms and a happy home bar. Also, quick tip, you can either park at the meters on Ross or just go into the garage where the CVS parking is and go through the back door. If it’s locked give it a knock and they’ll open it for you. It’s nice to know you’re not going to get mugged and someone else gets to enjoy your purchases. My only critique really is that it is definitely pricier than Seigel’s but if you’re like me and it’s 8.30 and your friends are on their way you don’t have time to trek up to Southwestern and Greenville. Thank the divine Victory Park Liquor is just right around the corner.
