I ate lunch here with a friend on Saturday. The lunch specials are only on the weekdays, so we thought it was kind of pricey for what it was. Everything was good — there was nothing wrong with it, but it’s probably not quite as good as Oishi. My major complaint is that they brought out the sushi one plate at a time, which was annoying because there were certain things my friend ordered that I wasn’t eating and vice versa.

Went to Ahi for a quick dinner Saturday night. It was not very busy, which worried me at first, but it started to pick up a bit as we ate. The rolls we had were pretty good, but a couple were sloppily made and fell apart when I tried to pick it up. The ahi-tini drink was quite tasty. I will definitely go back again.

A friend and I decided to try it out for lunch today — very pleasantly surprised: o) Bento box for $ 9.95 during lunch — several different options to choose from. We each ordered a bento box — donkatsu(breaded pork cutlet) for her, tempura udon for me. We ate every bite. My bento box came with a bowl of udon noodles in a really yummy broth and a slice of fish cake, tempura veggies + dumpling, four pieces of a california roll, and an orange slice. My friend’s meal was the pork + rice, cali roll, tempura, and an orange slice. The food was really good. The cook came out to check on everyone, too. The lunch crowd was sparse — 5 tables of 2 people each. Hopefully the tides will turn and more people will give this place a chance.

I went to check out Ahi today after noticing Sushi Sapporo had been replaced by this new restaurant. I called ahead to see if they had any happy hour specials and was told on Wednesdays there are $ 5 martini’s and you call-its all night and $ 2 small hot sake until 7pm. No sushi specials for dinner, but buy 1 get one free sushi at lunch. So I dragged one of my girlfriends and went to check it out. We were the only ones in the restaurant, but did go early(5:30). The service was great, but being the only customers likely had something to do with this. We ordered edamame and sakes to start, which didn’t disappoint. They have a full menu that includes tempura dishes, curry dishes, and noodle dishes, but we stuck with sushi rolls. We tried the Rocky Mountain, Calamari, Spicy Tuna Plus, and avocado rolls, all of which were very fresh and delicious. I will definitely be returning here. The interior is beautiful, as Ashley B. said. They are having their grand opening on June 11 so hopefully word will spread and more people will discover how fabulous this new sushi restaurant is.
