Avon Cleaners

This is the most over priced dry cleaner I have ever been to. They charged more than double what a standard dry cleaner charges and offered mediocre service. Was told my items would be ready on Monday but, when I showed up four of them weren’t ready. I had to return again on Tuesday for the rest of my items. Their prices are a joke and I will never return.

I use these guys weekly and never have an issue. The service is great. I am very confused by the reviews of others. The entire team is friendly and efficient. They even send an email when your clothes are ready. I have never had an issue with any damage and it is obvious they have great technology to keep track of your clothes. Every other place I have ever used has lost items, damaged items, or not followed instructions (creasing pants that were requested non-​crease). For 3 years I have never had an issue with Avon and highly recommend them.

So I don’t often get things dry cleaned. I picked Avon because it’s so closed to where I live. The lady who works at the front is INCREDIBLY rude. I couldn’t believe she was acting as if she was better than me or the other customers. She took my information as if she was doing me some enormous honor and told me to pick my jacket up Tuesday. She gave me nothing, no claim ticket, no specific time frame, literally nothing. I went back Tuesday afternoon to get the jacket and she literally yelled at me that it wasn’t ready and wouldn’t be until after 5pm. The 5pm time frame was news to me! I realized very quickly that argueing with this woman would be a waste of effort and time. She also had no regard for the huge waste of my time. It was my lunch break to… and we all know you don’t mess around on your lunch break! Now, according to the other reviews, I am going to majorly overpay for this horrible experience when I do pick this up! Thanks Avon, I won’t be back!

I bid on and won $ 100 worth of gift cards at a charity auction for this dry cleaners. I’d never been. I took in one dress (nothing fancy and washable), a winter coat, a wool wrap, and a long jersey material dress from Nordstrom that I wore to a wedding. This formal dress cost me about $ 200. The first three items were ready in two days and cost me about $ 78. Ridiculously overpriced. I had to wait ten days for my «formal.» I picked up this dress today and was charged over $ 70 to dry clean a $ 200 dress. I was shocked. The woman told me that all items are pressed by hand. I told her with prices like this, customers should be warned of the cost ahead of time. I also asked if customers could opt out of the hand press for lower prices. She said no. She said I should have asked for price quotes when I dropped off my clothes. Not necessary, because I won’t be back. They did a good job on the dry-​cleaning, but nothing above and beyond my normal cleaners. Customers beware! If you still want to try this place, get price quotes ahead of time!

Extremely overpriced but they have a delivery VIP service my employer uses and keeps me from having to go here because parking is almost nonexistent. The older lady is rude and lazy, the young blond is friendly and helpful. Thus the 2 stars = no parking, rude ass lady, and way more expensive then it needs to be. They did get a yellowed curtain white again so maybe another half star.

It’s super expensive… I wore a friend’s long dress and she asked me to clean her dress with them and I understand that… What I don’t understand is why they charged me more than $ 80 dollars + tax… It’s outrageous!
I really don’t know what is so special about them but I’ll never recommend this place to anybody.

Extremely over priced! Costs me $ 8 – 9 per tank top or shirt and that is WITH the student discount. I had a long dress dry cleaned here and it cost me over $ 30…traumatizing. I will give it to them that I completely destroyed a shirt with alcohol drink stains from a night at the club and they were able to get it out after I had taken it to the Avon cleaners on hillcrest several times and they could not get it out… odd considering both are the same stores, but different locations. So now I only go to the Avon cleaners on lovers. Staff at the hillcrest Avon cleaners is friendlier. I called once to ask how much my dry cleaning would cost when I picked it up and even though it was ready for pick up, they would not give me a price because the lady was too lazy. Every time I called to ask the Avon cleaners on hillcrest they were always able to tell me right away. Avon cleaners on lovers doesn’t have good service, but they can get some difficult stains out…

Really, being charged $ 9.00 to launder a men’s shirt is a bit much!!! My phone calls have not been returned.
