Used to frequent Bar [A] a few years back. Heard it was closed down a few times and now it has a new owner. Took my friends there not too long ago as we wanted to find somewhere casual just to hang out and talk. This place used to have an open layout, with the new layout now, the tables are sectioned off with wooden fences that are as tall as cubicle walls. My all time favorite drink from Bar [A] is the yogurt soju. And it’s cool that they bring out plate of free popcorn for the table, but this is nothing new, they’d always had popcorn since years ago. Service is fair but drinks are a bit on the pricey side. I’m not sure why people like to congregate by the door outside the bar(other than smoking). Some of the patrons there are a little sketchy but guess it’s good that there are tall walls around the table for separation.

Chicago friends came to town for a wedding; we met up with them here on our way home from a birthday dinner(crazy busy weekend). I wasn’t thrilled that they don’t really enforce the no smoking law. It was tolerable but still annoying. If you sit at one of the long tables, the seats are small wooden stools. After an hour, my back was exhausted. And there’s no leg room(and I’m short!). It was strange that they didn’t serve Hite or even Japanese beer. But we did bring in a leftover pizza from dinner, and they didn’t care that we ate it there.

Great place to just chill with friends. The food is just ok but the environment i guess is good to hang out and have a fun time.

Bar A, my favorite spot to hang out in Ktown(korean town). The previous owner of the place had a great idea, but they weren’t getting any customer… but now with the current owner, this place is popping! Literally POPPING, because they give you popcorns to snack on. I take many of my friends here and they always question why the bar give out popcorn, well the purpose is it helps you drink down soju easier =). The concept is quite genius, the more soju you drink, the more popcorn you eat. which is free! Great place to hang out with friends and get wasted and talk nonsense, because no one cares what you do as long you don’t get physical. The waitress are cute also. Try the fried rice with eggs, its quite good. but pricey. The drinks are reasonable price, but food is expensive, so be prepared!

Went to Bar A over the weekend. I haven’t been there in a year, alot has changed. The whole bar went through a makeover. All the tables are enclosed which is a plus. The service was very attentive. I’ll be coming back.

I came on a Friday at midday, but I think a little later at night this is an especially hot spot. I came with two other foreigners and the wait staff was really nice. Sometimes we get strange looks when we go into Korean restaurants, but their staff was friendly. They played new popular Kpop music videos on the flat screen and the atmosphere was really nice. We drank, but didn’t order food. Next time I’d like to try some of their food.

I have been curious about this place for awhile. The bar is a nice place with a mix of common and private areas. It is frequented by mostly Koreans, but also has a mix of other people, too. It’s pretty typical for what you would expect, the three things that make this place stand out are the patrons, the food, and the wonderful wait-staff… The patrons tend to be regulars and are friendly and enjoyable. I have met many of, what I know will be, good friends for years to come. Everyone is consistently considerate, friendly, and likable. Just add some Johnny Walker or Crown for instant drinking buddies! I guess I cannot even say enough here about the wait-staff. The girls at Bar A feel like family. I feel like I’ve known them all my life, yet have only known them a couple of weeks! They are each very sweet and very unique individuals that contribute to an enjoyable night out. The drinks never slow down or stop coming, the conversation is engaging, and the food is EXCELLENT! I have said many times that the food at Bar A is better than any of the«Korean Restaurants» I’ve eaten at in Dallas. I have never had a bad meal there. Bar A sincerely feels like my second home. My wife and daughter left for Korea for an extended period and I was feeling a bit lonely until I found this place. The past few weeks have been a fun-filled delight and I fully expect to be a regular here for quite some time. Thanks to Jenny, A-ri, Eun-Hae, and Cho-Ahn for being so nice to me and SEEYOUTONIGHT!

I remember coming here many years ago and receiving horrible service. Well, we came back this past weekend after dinner nearby and looks like they have changed. The wait staff was very nice, although we had a Korean friend with us whom the waitress swore she knew his parents. We were lucky to get the«private» area with walls closing us off from the rest of the bar. They brought us unlimited amounts of burned, salty popcorn and keep the beers and Soju coming. I didn’t know how much everything cost, but amongst 7 people, we had about 2 pitchers of beer and multiple carafes of flavored Soju for $ 90.
