So, for Christmas, we bought our son a Nintendo 3DSXL the Zelda edition that has the triforce on it and colored Gold on the front and Black on the back. We got this product at Best Buy, it was an opened one(the last one they had) but they assured us that there was nothing wrong with it as they had their geek squad check it out and make sure it was okay. They even discounted it. Well, our son opened it on Christmas day, we set up the DS, and the download key that they included with the DS showed that it had been used. What a pile of crap. The people at Best Buy didn’t think to call Nintendo to make sure that the Key was still good. So, my husband went to Best Buy today to tell them that we called Nintendo and they verified that the key had indeed been used before we purchased the game and that we could go through them but it could take weeks before we got a new key for the game download. Best Buy said okay, they tried to see if they had any other units in stock initially and give us the key and I guess return the other. But like I said, the one we got was the last one, so, they gave us the game cartridge and a $ 15 gift card. I’m pleasantly surprised and happy with that.

The guys who work here have always been very knowledgable and patient with us whenever we come in. Especially in for mobile dept. I say this because I have a 3 year old boy who loves playing hide and seek in stores… Grrrr! But they are great and their service never decreases when it’s past nap time and/or I have lots of questions. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I’ve always experienced that management is rather arrogant and demeaning to their employees and, might I add, without reason! That’s a huge pet peeve of mine.

Please note, this comes from a former boycotter of Best Buy. I mean, HATED them. In recent years I have had several occasions to shop here, and each time have had a great experience. They seem to be well staffed, and I have had good help and attitudes from the staff. I have had opportunities to do the«buy on line and pick up at the store» thing, and that went really great. I had to wait a bit, but it was Black Friday, so that was to be expected. The guy who pulled my new TV also pulled a new surge protector and attached it to the TV box. As it turns out, I really needed a good surge protector, so was happy for the suggested add on. I was also really grateful that he didn’t attach a washing machine to the TV.
