No brand names here at all. Almost no liquor. Avoid.

Well Well Well… chapter 11…30% off sales on wine and liquor… not a big savings on the sale prices bc we could find that as the normal price on some of our favorite bottles of wine at central mkt of all places. However… some nice finds the man landed. It is easy to get to and has a big lot… wide selection of price points and products depending if you want to entertain friends or just have a college trash can punch party. The best part of this place… customer service. I bought 6 bottles of Benziger Merlot… and the sale price did not ring up… did not realize until I got home. I took the recpt back the next day and got back ~20 $ in savings bc they honored the price. We also thought they had a better selection left over and easy parking than the big warehouse location a few miles away… that was swamped with people. This place was easier to manuveur… inside and out.

Based on a recommendation from a former co-​worker, I stopped by this location for their on-​going wine sale, but also to check out their huge selection of discounted wines (35−80% off in some cases.
There was very little that I came across that I wasn’t excited by. Recognizeable label after label are stocked on their shelves, and even in the discount wine section as well. All together I spent $ 170 on roughly $ 480 worth of wine– which turned out to be a little more than 2 cases of wine. Suffice to say, it was like Christmas all over again.
Even though it was about a 40 minute drive for me to get there, I’ll be back again very soon.

I stopped in Big Daddy’s one afternoon to buy a few bottles of wine. There are a couple of wines that I know I like but on this particular day I wanted to try something different. My first impression of this location was a very positive one. I was greeted when I walked in the door and was immediately asked if I needed help. When I walked to the wine section I was immediately asked by their wine consultant if I had any questions. Impressive. I told him the names of a few wines that I really like and with that he knew what other wines I would probably enjoy. He explained a bit about them but wasn’t using a language that I couldn’t understand. He made picking out some different wines extremely painless. I will go back to this store. Customer service is a dying breed, but not at Big Daddy’s.

it’s a shame that the workers here sort of know me on a first name basis :-(when i lived in Irving, i would spend my saturday afternoons stocking up for my house parties. now, i live in a city that only sells beer and wine, and i still work in irving, so i find myself stopping at big daddy’s on friday’s on my way home. very knowledgable staff. especially when it comes to the wine selections. also, on saturday afternoons, you will likely find a vendor or two there providing free tastings of their product.

With a name like «Big Daddy’s» it’s got to be… I dunno… good but maybe a little creepy. I’m kidding a little here, the place is great, but the location is sketchy. I went there to pick up the best bottle of Scotch you can get for $ 50 to send to our clients.
They have a Scotch guy, actually he’s Irish, but he knows his stuff. And he’s funny. He pointed out some good choices, but was sure to ask if we wanted to go «safe» or «edgey» and I said safe for sure.
Be careful pulling in, the incline on the parking lot is a car cruncher. Great selection – better than across the street – and good prices. If I’m in that neighborhood I’d stop, but to be honest, I kinda avoid that neighborhood.
