This place is so cozy and warm and the beer is great! A friend recommended us to come try it, and I’m really glad we did! Just by looking at it from the outside, most people would overlook it as another small shop. When you open the door, you are greeted by warm lighting and a friendly bartender who is open to any questions you might have. The place is rather small with a standing bar on one side, and wooden tables on the other side. But the small space doesn’t take away from the experience at all. Once you’ve got a drink and a spot for yourself and your friends you will begin to feel comfortable. They have 6 ciders that they offer and they are $ 6 each. Kind of pricey for the amount, but I don’t mind paying it every once in a while. They have options where you can choose 4 ciders in 4oz. cups which will run you about $ 10, or 6 ciders for a little bit more. You can have the beer bottled to go as well which I am very interested in doing sometime! I chose the Suicider which is like an apple-cinnamon cider, and was DELICIOUS. I’d say this place is a good way to end a really good date night. You will find yourself lost in time and conversation and some really great drinks.

Love the feel of this place and their great variety of ciders. You can even take a growler home so that’s a win.

Stopped by this place after a lunch at Hattie’s. I am a beer guy, but this place impressed me. It had the feel of breweries 4 years ago. Very fun and close knit. Their. Idea was delicious. The hopped Cider was awesome. I strongly recommend visiting this place.

I’ve been here a few times since it has opened and I’ll say that they’ve definitely improved over the years. I remember their first attempts at a hoppy cider and a super high ABV cider were quite harsh on the tastebuds and I avoided this place for a while. However, I came back today and tried out all 6 of their current on top ciders and they were much improved from before. Here’s what I tried and what I personally thought: Suicider: Tasted like hot apple cider and Autumn. My second favorite of the bunch. Crackberry: Tasted like cranberry juice and was rather flat. Felt like I was getting buzzed and improving my urinary tract health at the same time. Legendberry: Reminded me of Abita strawberry. Nectar: Standard cider, nothing great but not bad either. High & Dry: Exactly as described. Like a dry white with no sweetness. Cideways: The best of the bunch. They’ve perfected the balance between sweetness and hoppy-ness with this brew. If I came back, I’d probably get the Cideways /Suicider and ignore the rest. It’s small and cozy inside and the prices are very fair. The flight of 6 was $ 15 and a flight of 4 is $ 10. It’s a perfect place to bring someone who doesn’t like beer but doesn’t want to do liquor. 3-stars means A-OK and this place is definitely that.

I actually really love cider, but I haven’t been super in love with the cider options here. Still, I give them props for trying out interesting flavor combinations. The strawberry cider was lovely, but definitely wouldn’t be for everyone. I want to love this place, but I think I will have to wait for the larger facility they are planning on opening(so the owner told me). That will be closer to the Design District, though, not in BAD. I give them three stars for a couple of reasons… it’s small and tight, meaning its difficult to get in with a group and have a good time. Also, the limited options mean if they don’t happen to have the flavor of theirs you like on tap that day, you’re out of luck. When I’ve been in there, service has been very friendly, but also extremely slow. Location is great. If you like the cider, take some to go and head over to Cigar Arts for a matching smoke, or over to Greek Café and Bakery(they have a bring-your-own policy) and enjoy dinner. That’s what we did, and it was quite lovely!

Great establishment with a very awesome and friendly staff! Cider flights are the way to go if you are unsure of what to get. $ 10 will get you a sampling of 4(your choice) and $ 15 gets you all 6! Fave cider so far is the cideways! Picked up a growler and will definitely be back for more.

Small little cider-pub(?) in the Bishop Arts district. The bartender was very friendly and was telling us a lot about Bishop Cider’s expansion. The ciders were a bit sweet tasting for me(I guess that’s where you would say duh), but I guess I would love a tart cider or something with a lot of depth. I forget the reasoning, but I remember they had to keep the cider in the 6.5% ABV vicinity. They did have the Crackberry, which is basically cider with berries. They also had an apple pie tasting cider — Suicider. There was also the High and Dry, which was drier than the others, but still not enough to really get me interested. That being said, a cider fan would really love this place — and probably get very buzzed if they weren’t paying attention. However, as someone who thought he was indifferent to cider, I realized I can’t drink a lot of cider.

This is a cute little place with locally made cider. The nectar was especially clean-tasting. I took a small growler of it home for later. There’s a reward program that was offered and I have been getting fun offers regularly: free glass, growler fill discount, etc.

cool spot. I visited the Bishop Cider Co. this past Sunday. It was fun, small and quaint in the Bishop Arts district. I’d had their ciders at a few different beer fests and they ere pleasant. My only complaint is the place was very very small with limited seating but the bartender explained to me that they have a new location in the Design District with lots and lots of seating so I’ll be interested to see how that works out. other than that I have no major complaints, other than not being able to sit down. so i’ll be glad to see how the new location works out.

What a cute cider shop in the Bishop Arts district! We were walking around the area and decided to drop by this place. When we walked in, there were these huge containers that contain cider I’m assuming behind the bar table. The guy was pretty friendly and answered our questions about the drinks. There aren’t many cider options but enough to try different ones. We sampled 3 different ones($ 2 a cup) and my favorite one was the strawberry. For $ 2, I thought there was a good amount in the cup. They also have some cool refill jug program so if you are a huge cider fan, it might be beneficial to enroll in that. Overall, cute shop so come check it out!

What a neat little cider brewery. I originally found this place looking for local breweries online. It is quite small, but everyone is so nice and they are willing to share tables and chairs. I recommend trying the flights. It is inexpensive and will give you an idea of their seasonal offerings. While you are there, ask about five star rewards. You will receive free stuff. I, unfortunately do not live in the area and received a voucher for a free glass too late. Maybe they can get you started before you arrive if you plan ahead.

Cute little place to come after dinner for a cider. It is very small on the inside, so if it’s a weekend and crowded, good luck getting one of their four tables. They make their own cider and always have different new choices. This last time I went, they had Strawberry, Crackberry, Suicide and Nectar. We did a flight(only $ 10) so we were able to try all of them. The Strawberry was by far the best, I would highly recommend it. Didn’t really like the Crackberry — too sweet for my liking. All in all an adorable little spot that is a nice alternative to the many craft breweries popping up around Dallas.

First of all, I love ciders! I’m not at all a beer person, so ciders are usually my go-to drinks at pubs/breweries that don’t offer mixed drink options. This cute little place is tucked away on the edge of bishop arts, and it looks pretty nondescript from the outside. Once you walk in, the bar is really narrow, but deep, and there are a couple of tables at the front. It was pretty cool to see the large metal kettles of cider behind the bar. They had 4 different ciders to offer: Cideways, Strawberry, Nectar, and one more that I can’t remember. I ordered a Strawberry cider for myself, and the boyfriend ordered a flight to sample all 4. I really enjoyed the strawberry cider! You can really taste the strawberry, and it’s not too sweet. My boyfriend likes more tangy ciders, so he said his favorite was the Cideways, which was definitely really potent. Overall, I liked the place, and will probably be back to visit the next time I’m in the area.

I had no idea Dallas had a cider brewery until two weeks before moving away. I made sure to visit twice before I left because this place is pretty awesome. First time: tried the flight and then opted for my fave: crackberry. It was a Tuesday night, and there was one other couple there. Otherwise we had the place to ourselves. Came the following Thursday after stopping at Emporium Pies to grab some crackberry to wash my pie down with. This time we were the only ones there. Super intimate. And bartenders are super friendly. I’m sure weekends are busier.

It’s a quaint little hole in the wall. A long bar runs nearly the length of the place. Four ciders brewed on-site. It’s a nice place to visit a friend at the bar(standing, no stools), or four people could share a side table in near comfort. Best deal: Four 5 ounce pours for $ 10. Sip slowly. Not impressed? Slam the 9.5% ABV Cideways and the rest will taste marvelous. They have no other products, just cider, in plastic glasses. It’s worth a visit, worth a return if you really like cider.

I’m not sure what I expected when I went to Bishop Cidery — a tour, for sure, so that somewhat dampened my experience. I’m not a huge cider fan, so a tour or an explanation of the«how we make it» process were the major draws for me. I didn’t get that the evening we stopped in. The owners/producers weren’t there, just a super nice bartender who was happy to serve us but really couldn’t answer our questions(nor, to be fair, should he have been expected to). We all tried the cider — my friend is a huge cider fan and she loved the four they had available. Cideways has a bit of an aftertaste — our least favorite. The remaining 3 were sweeter, but not cloying. My favorite was the crackberry, a mixture of blackberry and cranberry. I didn’t love it enough to take home, but again, I’m not a huge cider fan. So my FYIs for anyone heading down to Bishop Cider Co: * If you want a tour, you might want to call in advance and pick a time when the owner is there and can show you around or answer questions. * Don’t be right on time or you might find yourself waiting around. The opening time is… flexible. They opened about 10 minutes late the day we were there. But hey — it’s Bishop Arts so we killed time exploring and buying cigars across the street and chatting with a friend that we ran into.

Sue and I came to the Bishop’s Art section of Dallas as we were making our way closer and closer to DFW to catch our flight back home. We are big fans of trying what the locals are brewing whether it be beer or cider. Pleasantly surprised to find a cidery in this part of town. I believe Bishop Cider is the first cidery in Dallas. I hope I am correct in typing that as it has been close to a month now since our trip ended. I’m pretty sure that was what the man who worked there told us. I would believe that as when we walked in, the place was pretty well empty. A few people wandered in, but quickly wandered out as they probably weren’t really sure about the whole cider thing. We know from cider in Portland, so we knew what we were getting into. Both of us went for the Home Run which is a flight of all 4 ciders in 5 oz pours for $ 10. They pour 4 ciders a day. Looks like they have a nice variety(according to their website), but only offer 4 at a time. On this visit we had the Suicider, Nectar, Cideways and Cinnamango. These are all very good sipping ciders. Range in ABV from 6% to a whopping 9.5%. Most tended to be more on the semi-dry to semi-sweet side. I’m pretty sure you won’t find anything super sweet here so if you are looking for that, you should probably go elsewhere. This was a good find.

They get major local credit for being super cool and offering liquid courage cider style to us non beer lovers. A couple reasons for a less than perfect rating. Limited seating. There are no bar stools. And they are serving the drinks in plastic glasses. $ 6 for a much loved drink really should be served in a chilled glass. Just my opinion. Cider Company does not offer any other cocktails. No beer. No martinis. No wine. Nothing. Nada. Zip.

Pros: Very different than the sweet bottled hard ciders(like Woodchuck), and I am all about trying new things House-brewed ciders Cons: The vast majority of the menu are bottles, which can’t be sampled May run out of the few that can be sampled $ 8 for a 3-sample flight(definitely reasonable). Sadly, when we went they were out of Suicider and Cat Scratch Fever, so we tried two of the three from the tasting trio(one peach based and one apple based). I preferred the peach, which had a hint of sweetness. I did not really pick up on the spices other than cinnamon in the apple cider. Be prepared that both are very different from the Woodchuck sugar-ciders, so don’t let that surprise you– they are supposed to be! Overall, the experience was worth going to try this type of cider(and I like any sort of craft brewery whether cider or beer). The service was not fast or super friendly, but the person working was nice enough; however, as someone who was new to cider, I would have appreciated a bit more interaction and some suggestions. I do want to go back though, because I am still super curious about the crackberry.
