We came here probably right around 11am on a Saturday for brunch and were pleasantly surprised that we didn’t have to wait for a table since I’ve read about how popular this place is. We started off with some booze. I got the coffee/whiskey drink. And I’m not sure why I did because I don’t like whiskey. So I gave it to the boyfriend who quite enjoyed it. Even ordered another one. And I drank his mimosa. I ordered the chorizo gravy and biscuits with eggs. mm mm mm. yum! I only wish there were more chorizo in the gravy. It’s super filling too. Bf got the Brunch Delux and was a bit disappointed. The only thing on there that was really worth it was the pork belly, so maybe next time we’ll just order the pork belly dish. And I say next time because I think there might be one.

If there ever was a place which the cuisine is five star caliber and you can still dine wearing blue jeans and not feel trapped between the socialite scene and hipsterville, place has it. After several visits, both with family and business partners, probably have had everything on the menus at least once– the décor is authentic, the food flavors complex whether you are a sweet and savory person or just like plain spicy fare– you can tell that the chef is watching everything that comes out– the consistency in plating and thoughtful recommendations on pairing shows that this is about a dining experience, not just having dinner. There are a lot of great restaurants in Dallas– I measure how my colleagues from Chicago and San Francisco respond, and all have felt this is as good as anything they have at home– right across the trinity river–

Amazing atmosphere and comfortable bar area! We came here on a Friday night with reservations. Food: Chicharrones: Just OK. I like how the pork skins were in big pieces. Comes with a «hot sauce» which isn’t hot at all and an avocado-tomatillo sauce which was tasty. They could provide more of these sauces to come with the appetizer though. Beer-Steamed Mussels: Good! Only had a few bites of chorizo in it, but the mussels comes in a good quantity. Twig and Branch: My favorite! If i were to come here again, I would go for this the second time around. I’ve never had roasted grapes before, but it was the perfect touch to this flatbread. Service: Just OK. The bartender was a little absent-minded a couple times, but it didn’t bother us too much. He did recommend me a delicious cocktail called the Marilyn. It’s on the sweet side, but strong and refreshing! Prices: Over-priced drinks and starters in my opinion. Overall great experience!

This boutique artisan bistro has a small dining room that is quite cozy and intimate. Make reservations for a quick table, even though walking in on a whim will still net you something soon. Whether it be a spot at their dual sided hip bar or a few minute wait for your own private mesa… that a table folks. Even though I have enjoyed their hand crafted cocktails, Monday night was my first dinner. My friend and I started with their crispy and flavorful sausage flatbread, which is a round one of a kind pizza. Our main course was the Goat Stew, which we both thoroughly enjoyed and shared. It was a generous portion, topped with crispy tortilla chips and a spicy crème fraishe sauce. With a third left over, we packed it for a later snack. The meat was still fork tender, even cold out of the fridge the next day. So step outside of the normal chicken, beef, shrimp routine to try something extraordinary and awesome.

5 stars all around! Excellent food, cocktails, and service. It was a friend’s birthday, and we got Groupons so we could check Bolsa out. The Groupon was an outstanding deal, as we got to try appetizers, soup or salad, entrée, and dessert. We had heard so much about the cocktails that of course, we had to try those as well. Everything was amazing! Strong, well balanced, unique drinks, 5 star quality food, and delectable desserts. Waitstaff was attentive and friendly. Our next adventure will be to check out Bolsa’s Mercado(one block away)!
