Best burger in town. Best place in town. This is my all time favorite place to eat and I have eaten a lot of places. You cannot find a better, simple cheeseburger. Everything is perfection here whether you want cheesefries, a malt, a burger, chicken sandwich, salad, chili, pie, pork chops, fajitas, the list goes on and on. Eat here, best place in town. Been going to the Lovers location for over 10 years, this place needs multiple locations all over the world.

This place is such a classic restaurant and they always have a lot of people there. When you enter, you walk right about to the cashier, order your food from the huge menu displayed, then you get a name card for your table and the food is brought right to you. I asked for the«normal/classic» bun which ended up being the delicious poppy seed bun. You add any sauces you want to it, but the ketchup just comes in a bottle on the table. I just love their burgers there. They have homemade rice Krispy treats at the cashier but I don’t want to eat much sugar so sadly I avoid it every time. The cheese fries are good but once you get to the end, the cheese is one big blob that doesn’t stick to all the fries anymore. It’s still good if you take the time to pull off the cheese but it gets a little greasy. We sat outside on the patio and it was so nice. There’s a tv out there as well. We visit Dallas every year and we always make sure we take a pit stop at Chip’s!

First time going here. Not too much to say. They took our order right but didn’t make it right. We only asked for two burgers and fries. My fiancé asked for mayo and lettuce only on his burger and he got mustard and pickles. I asked for no mayo and just mustard and got double mayo and no mustard. I don’t think it’s that hard to read a slip but whatever. After we fixed our burgers they were good. I won’t go back anytime soon. If they get our order right next time I may like it there but if they mess up again I won’t be wasting my money.

There is no other place in Lakewood that makes us feel as if we are in our own home! The best service! Thank you to the best bartender, Mark, and the best manager, Barry! Our entire family, including our special needs daughter feel welcomed every time!!! 5 stars!

This place is awesome. They are super family friendly. Even special needs children are openly welcomed and catered too. They also have gluten free buns and beer! The burgers are good and greasy and really tasty.

Great spot for a good burger and fries. They have tons of TVs and are also great for kids. Go here a lot on Sunday to lunch to watch NFL. Food is very good and affordable.

I have to say I didn’t love this place or love the food. I was a little disappointed and most likely would not go back. Food Medium Wine horrible I ordered a glass of Toasted Head, must of been an old bottle Customer Service NONE Pricey for sure. Maybe I should of ordered a milk shake and a piece of pie?

Good food but they ALWAYS get our order wrong. If you build it yourself, how do I get things I didn’t ask for? Onions on a burger with a fried egg? Gross

I don’t know if I remember the food being better at the old location or not. What I do know is I don’t really like the food at this location. The appetizers were really greasy and left a nice puddle in the bottom of the basket and the burger wasn’t special. It felt a little like Jake’s… That being said, the new location looks good and the beer selection isn’t bad. I just don’t feel the food is going to bring me back.

I wanted to check out this burger joint because it was on the top 100 burger places in Dallas according to D magazine. The location in Lakewood is actually rather hard to find, but eventually I found it. If you are driving on Skillman it is in the back of the Lakewood Center. Once you find the front door, you place your order and they bring it to you. I liked the fact the restaurant is clean and seems to be well-run. There is an outside patio for when the weather is nice. There is a private parking lot so that is a big plus. I ordered a 1⁄3 pound with blue cheese, string onions, and a pint of beer. I really liked the fact that there was a lot of real blue cheese for .75. So many times you get either a tiny amount or artificial blue cheese spread. I wish I had remembered to ask for medium doneness but the burger was pretty good, although the mustard was a bit overpowering. My only comment was that the patty seemed small for 1⁄3 pound, but I was full so I am not complaining. The batter for the onion strings was good but needed more flavoring. I like onion strings though so they got eaten. Overall, this is a pretty good place and I will keep it in mind for when I am in Lakewood and am in the mood for a burger.

The only reason they don’t get 5 stars is because it’s always loud. The burgers and fries and other items are really good. I’ve been here on the 4th of July a couple of times and they close early so that the employees can spend time with loved ones. I love that! Never disappointed with a meal and they’re consistent, amd have been for years!

Very good place for a burger. Not bad priced either. I had bacon and sautéed onions. My wife and I shared sweet potato fries. They are delicious. You can’t go wrong eatting here. You also get very large portions of food and free refills on the tea and soft drinks. There is also an arcade for the kids.

I came here for lunch today with a friend. She mentioned that this is a new location and was wanting to try it out. We each ordered cheeseburgers. Mine had American cheese, a fried egg, bacon and onion strings on it. I also ordered a side of tator tots, while my friend ordered the French Fries and Onion String combo. With a glass of water, my meal came out to around $ 10. When the food came out I was surprised at how large the portions were. I managed to eat half my burger and half the tots. But I was stuffed, so I took the rest home. We sat on the patio, which had plenty of seating and it was the perfect day for it. The service was quick and friendly. For the portion size and the price, this place is a steal. The food was delicious and there was a lot of variety in menu options. I will be back!

Chips is very easy to pass up, especially their Lakewood location which is nesseled behind Matt’s El Rancho. Overall: their burgers are delicious and their salads are generous. Sit at the bar if you don’t feel like waiting in line. That way you can see their pretty good selection of craft beers and bottles. The fried mushrooms are to die for and you will want to put the ranch dipping sauce on everything else you ordered. I actually drizzled it on my taco salad light night and I couldn’t stop eating it. Turkey burg is one of my favorite in Dallas. Not a lot of filler, all goodness.

I heart Chip’s! I’ve been going to their Lovers Ln. location for years, but this spot was a new experience for me. It’s a little more upscale than their other location, which is to be expected since it’s new. But the quality of food and level of charm are both the same — On point! This is a traditional, old-fashioned place for some great American grub. I’d also like to add that they have TVs, so this is an easy spot to hang out after church on Sundays when you want to grub out and catch an NFL game. And for the main reason I even wrote this review… THEYHAVETHEBESTMILKSHAKESINALLOFDALLAS. Seriously. Order one… Now.

I’ve been here several times. Food is great every visit! This last time I tried the chicken fried steak sammich instead of a burger. If you’re hungry, get that thing. The steak was all outside the bun it was so big. Not the most tender CFS I’ve had, but some ranch dressing and their seasoned salt on the table really gave it a nice feel and flavor. I also ordered a vanilla milk shake with oreos. What’s the deal with bringing that little bit of extra in the separate steel cup? Why don’t you just buy bigger glass cups and stop taking up valuable real estate on my table? I never really got that. Whatevs. Finally, the fries. They are sold separately, and cost almost as much as a sammich. Why? Because it’s a giant serving meant for at least two people. maybe three. They’re good though. I like Chips because they use fresh ingredients and don’t over complicate things too much, other than offering what I think is a bit too many menu items. Or maybe it just seems that way because it’s huge on the wall next to where you order. I think I’m going to try the tenders next time. They always sound good but I never get them.

I love the giant menu. There is something for everyone here, burgers, salads, chicken, sandwiches, hot dogs, tacos and even chicken fried steak, pork chop and seafood dinners. The kids love it. The food is fine, the service is friendly, but I’ve never left thinking«wow, that was great!»

I expected so much more considering all the great reviews. I ordered a half pound cheeseburger for $ 7. Poppy seed bun, lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard, and, American. All the makings of a perfect cheeseburger. Well, in this case, all the makings for a perfect cheeseburger fail. Big disappointment. Burgers are their specialty. From my experience they need re-schooling. I ordered the patty medium. It was a little more to the medium well. Just slightly so. Not a problem. The patty was greasy. I could tell they had seasoned the meat but the grease overwhelmed. So disappointed. They only positive thing about the patty is that it was it was nice and thick. The bun was ok. It was toasted and didn’t fall apart. They shredded the lettuce and piled it on literally four inches high. Seriously? WTF? Is that supposed to be impressive? The first thing I did was scrape it off. The pickles looked worse than those you find on the self service bar in most BBQ joints. The only difference is the ones in BBQ joints are a complete slice. The pickles on my burger were missing their centers. Not sure how that’s possible. Check my pictures. The tomatoes were another let down. Flavorless and warm. Chill and crisp is the way on a burger folks. Onions? Where were the onions? They put diced on the burger instead of sliced. Major fail with me. The least they could have done is put enough on so that I could tell they were on there. I had to do some digging to find the few diced that they tossed onto the center of the bun. Fail!

Seriously, I’ve been waiting more than 25 minutes for a burger. Slow unfriendly service!!! Follow up– our order was so wrong. Fries were cold. No gravey sent out with the steak finger basket and no jalepenos on the burger. Oh yeah, the burger was ordered with shoestring fries. We got onion rings. We will not be back.
