The custard was great. Lots of kids so be prepared!

This is a cute, hidden ice cream shop in Uptown that has the best ice cream shakes! I normally get vanilla ice cream with sprinkles, but the banana pudding shake is so so amazing.

Delicious hot dogs, custard and french fries. Great place to enjoy a great, inexpensive meal. I think of this as an icon restaurant in Dallas

I really do like a Chicago Dog, but I can’t ever get past the Texas dog at Wild About Harry’s. Mustard, chili, onions and cheese. Does it get any better than that? I need to try the fruit pie. My kids love the custard. All around great place.

I was craving some chicago dogs so I decided to check this place out… they definitely delivered but my only complaint was the way they cut the tomatoes. They cut it into small cubes, but traditionally it is cut into half moon sizes, which is what I prefer. But taste-wise, it was definitely delicious! I ordered mine with a jumbo sized dog, which costed $ 1 more. And i also got it with a combo(additional $ 2.99) which included a drink with a choice of fries, onion rings, and other options which I cannot recollect at the moment. Lol This is located on knox henderson on the west side of 75, so parking might be a bit difficult. And it’s basically a hole in the hole but should be easy to find… just look for a giant hot dog statue on the sidewalk!

Wonderful assortment of hot dogs! I’ve had a few different kinds and they’re so good! I’ve also had the Burger and it was like a good old fashioned burger from Dad’s grill. My big draw to Wild About Harry’s is the frozen custard. Sure, I like frozen yogurt as much as the next person, but sometimes you need to kick it old school and have something that brings you back to a simpler time. My personal favorite is an M&M concrete. Well darn… now I wrote this whole thing and I’m having a craving.

Food isn’t anything special– perhaps my expectations were to high because I’ve heard such good things about this place. But it was simply frozen food warmed up — burger over dressed and no real flavor. The reason for the 4 stars is for service and frozen custard! That’s their feature and should remain. Delish!!! Must go if you want a great dessert! Also the staff is beyond friendly! Thanks ladies!

Older establishment with a Diner and dive type of feel. Unique and nice change from the usual uptown décor. Stopped in for some custard Friday night and was not disappointed. A single cup of death by chocolate and mint chocolate chip was a perfect combo. Everyone else got different flavors and left with a smile. Others say their hot dogs were good. We’ll have to try that next time.

Great vegan hot dogs! A little pricey at $ 6/ea but worth it.

When I found out they were anti-gay, I haven’t been back in over ten years. I’m more interested in business focused on equality.

I’m wild about Harry’s! This place is awesome for some unique ice creams. Their coconut ice cream is so delicious that you’ll think you’re on a tropical island. Come and get some

Ordered the Southwest Fire Dog and it was delicious. Had the side of fries and it was OK. Fries tasted like it was fried in lard? It would have tasted better if you ate it right out of the fryer, but I had it delivered. The Dog was not as spicy as I had expected, but then, I eat extremely spicy food. I liked the toppings of tomatoes, cayenne, pickle spear, relish, and mustard. These ingredients went well together. Would recommend this place.

Very disappointed. Service was sllloooowwwww. Order arrived with a sandwich missing. Ordered Italian Beef sandwich and rings. Meat to bread ratio was about 1:3, au jus was canned beef broth with spaghetti seasoning floating on top, shredded cheese on sandwich was only partially melted as you can see in the pic. Daughter’s grilled chicken had ZERO flavor. Bathroom was filthy, every table was dirty. Ketchup was empty. For an added bonus, shelves line one side of the dining area. Rather than making it decorative AND functional, it is in disarray with boxes partially or fully open and pieces of boxes hanging over guests. Turtle sundae was the only food item that lived up to the hype.

Stopped by this adorable place for dessert after dinner in the Knox/Henderson Area. it is located around very pricey stores and furniture shops, which is fun to walk around and browse. The atmosphere is very divey with eclectic décor and nice, welcoming staff. I can’t rate the food, but the custard is delicious. A little on the price side for what it is, but still very tasty! We shared a junior vanilla malt and finished every last drop. So creamy, and sweet! I will definitely be back to try the food and look forward to stuffing my face with some delicious chili dogs!

I like this little spot. It has an old soda shoppe feel with its eclectic décor and charming staff. The custard(fancy ice cream) is super creamy. It has the best texture and a great flavor. They are a bit on the pricey side at 2 scoops for $ 5.99 but it was delicious. My husband and I shared the turtle. It was rich and full of fudge. ;) Try this place out. It’s unique and local.

Highlights: — Highly mediocre hotdog(think: grocery store quality) — Way overpriced($ 4+ for a single hotdog of normal size) — Unflavorful frozen custard I came to Wild About Harry’s on National Hot Dog day to celebrate appropriately with a nice hot dog and a cup of frozen custard on the side. What I ended up with was a disappointment dog and a cup of frozen sadness on the side. Their dogs will run you several bucks each for a normal sized hot dog that you’d cook at your neighbor’s grillout on July 4. The hot dogs are of comparable quality too(if you buy the higher end 8-packs of sausages from your local Kroger’s). The«custard» seems to be lacking in something important but doesn’t taste or feel like any frozen custard I’ve had before and definitely not in a good way. Overall a huge disappointment. Ended up hungry afterwards and bought a pack of buns/sausages/shredded cheese and chili for about the same price as the meal but 8 times the food. If I ever think about coming back I’ll probably stop by my grocery store instead.

Not being from Dallas, everyone from here will tell you to go here. It is pretty cool, especially the history and its surroundings! It’s located around all the pricey, fun to walk into furniture stores :) great area to be in! Food: pretty pricey for hot dogs but completely worth it! We got the chili dogs that come with mustard, chili, onions and cheese– SO tasty! They don’t skimp out on any of the condiments. Fries were enough to share, only one of us got the«deal» +2.50 for fries and a drink. Service/inside: everyone was so nice. All the food was served in a timely manner for a Friday night! Place is pretty well kept, it has an older feel and is very open with high top tables.

Well slap your momma and beat your sister! ID go five stars but they’re kinda silly with their wieners. Meaning, they go a little overboard. They steam their wieners which gives them a nice little snap when you bite into them. Besides boiling, this is the next best way to cook a wiener. Forget the flat top. Forget the grill. And by all means stop butterflying the wiener. Thank God Harry’s knows how to do it right. Next to Just Dogs, this is the best you’re gonna get in Dallas. Harry’s has sandwiches also, but, I don’t go there for that. I go for the dogs. I’m perfectly content with just a mustard and onion dog, and, they have a pretty good one. Their version of the Chicago Dog is pretty good, but, definitely give that one to Just Dogs. Another thing that brings me to Harry’s is the homemade custard. They make their own waffle cones and custard daily. Oh man I love their cones and custard! Lawdy! Seriously folks if you are in the mood for a good dog and custard, this is definitely a must!

My girlfriend has been obsessed with this place and I didn’t know why. I finally went with her and I was blown away! We went on Friday night and there was a line out the door which moved pretty quickly. The place had a no frills charm to it, decorated simply. I was a little overwhelmed with the all the choices but settles on the Mort’s favorite which is two scoops, Reece’s, hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry. I chose one of my scoops to be pumpkin and the other vanilla. I was in the middle of a story and went to take my first bite. I literally was so amazed with the taste I didn’t talk for a few minutes, complete silence while I was savoring the flavor. The pumpkin scoop didn’t have too much pumpkin flavor and the right amount of cinnamon plus the Reece’s and hot fudge just made for a complete party in my mouth. I’m not a huge ice cream fan but the texture wasn’t anything like ice cream or frozen yogurt, it was so light and fluffy. Since I left I keep trying to figure out when I can go back and try another flavor. I would definitely recommend locals and tourists alike to try this place out. Not only is the ice cream awesome but it has been part of Dallas for decades and has historical charm.
