I will never walk into this place again.
Six months SIX MONTHS to repair a piece of luggage and it is returned to me with no repair
First I was told it was sent to Austin, then two months later sent to Chicago
They said don’t worry this is the only place that will do it. Waited waited waited
Every time I stopped in it was going to be «here soon»
Finally I stop in and they hand me my luggage and NOTHING had been done to it.
Nothing! Six months and it is handed back to me exactly how I dropped it off!
Gave me a lame excuse about how it couldn’t be done! Couldn’t that have happened WAY back six months ago.
Caveat Emptor

Never again. I came here on ⁰⁷⁄₁₈ at the recommendation of a friend and dropped three pairs of shoes off to have the heel tips replaced and half soles redone and was quoted at $ 25.90 each. Ok, a little pricier than what I am used to, but the place came recommended so whatever. I was told that the shoes would likely be ready by ⁰⁷⁄₂₃ but to wait for a phone call first. Sounds good. Fast forward to today, 08/​15, nearly a month after I dropped off the shoes, and I still haven’t gotten a call. I decide to drop in and see if they’re ready since I’m in the neighborhood and every time I call the store, no one picks up. I wait in line and after the employee attended to the customer in front of me, he went to make his kid stop screaming. Ok, whatever. No one likes a screaming kid. When he does come back for the counter, I explain I never got a call and his response is «well, we’ve been really busy around here.» Ok, but being really busy warrants not calling someone for three weeks? Whatever, I just want my shoes. He brings them out to me (to whomever repaired them, they do look great) and then informs me, «I hope you’re paying cash because our credit card machine is down.» Wouldn’t you think you should’ve led with that tidbit? He then advised me I could also use a check (because this is 1995 and everyone carries a checkbook around with them). I asked for the papers with the shoe numbers and price back and said I would come back and he said he would remember me. That didn’t sit well, so I went straight to the ATM, took out $ 100, and came back. I come back, and he is sitting with his kid… while I’m waiting at the counter. I ask for the total and he says «$ 105.90.» I reply that I thought the shoes are each $ 25 and he said, «nope, $ 25.90 plus tax.» I told him I only took $ 100 out of the ATM and he said «well it’s $ 105.90.» At this point, I’m fed up and ask him if he really expects me to go back to the ATM a second time and that there really should be a sign posted. He just looks at me and says «well, that’s money out of my pocket…» so I advise I’m going to leave and come back later and that this is a bit ridiculous and that I won’t be using their services again. He then says «look, I’m trying to do you a favor, I’ll just take the money out of tip jar and I guess my register will be off. Maybe next time you’re in, you can throw us a couple extra dollars to cover the difference.» RIGHT. I give him the $ 100, take my shoes, and leave. As soon as I get in the car, I realize… IN WHAT WORLD WOULD TAXES COST THE PRICE OF AN ADDITIONAL PAIR OF SHOES TO BE REPAIRED? Last I checked, a $ 77.70 purchase shouldn’t have $ 28.20 in TAXES. I wanted to go back in but was so over it, I left. Not only did I feel completely talked down to (eg you’re taking my hard earned money away from me), I was COMPLETELY ripped off yet made to feel like they were doing me a favor.
Advice: if you’ve already dropped off shoes here, make sure you ask for a receipt so you don’t get charged 30some percent tax. And, apparently bring cash. Or your checkbook.
Horrible customer service and being overcharged is enough to make me never come back and to make sure no one I know does either. A shame because the shoes look great, but to avoid paying more than $ 30/​pair, wait a month without any response, and get yelled at in front of other customers after already being inconvenienced by having to go to the ATM and stand there while an employee takes care of his kid… no thanks. I’ll happily take my business elsewhere.

I took a carry-​on roller suitcase here for a defective handle (it was stuck down). I thought that seemed like a pretty common, straightforward problem… guess I was wrong?
Even though I dropped the suitcase off more than two weeks before a trip, I still had to call twice to ask about the status of the repairs (they never called me), and – after two weeks – no work/​repairs AT ALL had been done to my suitcase. Why make two trips to this place to have your suitcase do nothing but sit there?
I ended up having to buy a new roller suitcase for my trip because these guys took so long (and did nothing). What’s more, even if they HAD done something, the price they quoted for a simple handle fix was $ 75.

Great service, fast at the best price! I’ve been a Dino’s customer for years but decided to price compare. I came here and had the sweetest manager take wonderful care of me. I had 2 pairs of shoes fixed, both pairs cost HALF of what the competition quoted me. Highly recommend them!

I spent a lot of money to have one of my favorite pair of shoes ruined. I took my shoes in to get a wobbly heel fixed. They took the shoe apart and glued it back together. When I asked about all the visible glue, the guy said «that’s just the way it is». He then tried to cover the glue with black polish which got all over my gray shoes. My experience here left me sad and frustrated.

I took a pair of Cole Haan shoes I bought 6 years ago into Cobblestone in hopes of them repairing the heel of the shoe. They did a great job repairing my shoes, they actually fit as well as when I first bought them. I couldn’t have asked for better service, I will definitely be back again

I had a great experience here. They were able to repair the black riding boots that I wore once and ripped the leather upper on for a great price.

Worst experience of my life. They ruined my shoes then told me I gave them to them messed up.

I don’t like putting bad marks at all but I feel obligated to share my experience, as it was exceptionally disappointing in every single aspect.
1. The quality of the work done is not good. Parts of my shoes that were actually fixed (and not further spoilt) were not very neat looking when you have a closer look — glue was smothered all over and cuts were not neat.
2. The attached heal caps were oversized, i.e. they were too high, so the actual sole wouldn’t touch the ground when they stand. That resulted at discomfort when walking and deforming the actual heel. BTW, the new heel caps started already cracking, and it’s not even a month I’ve had them.
3. They guy INSISTED that I should replace the soles. I wish I didn’t listen to him. Those new soles started coming right off on the third day of me wearing them.
4. Not speaking of little nice complimentary things I used to get from other masters, like fixing the scraped leather on heels, applying some paint on the scratched surfaces to restore the shoe look. Nothing like that.
5. The total price I paid for all this was nearly what the shoes were worth.
I would not go there again. Sorry.

Most importantly, their work is excellent. On top of that they do the work quickly and at a decent prices. Ken is a real pro and is very friendly.

DO NOT GO HERE EVER!!! I brought in a few pairs of shoes and it took forever to get them repaired, was way too expensive, and they look awful! $ 500 pair of boots and they are unwearable.
I had to pick up my shoes a few different times and every time the man who works at the store was late opening. I’m not talking 5 minutes late… over half an hour late! And when he finally showed up he was either still intoxicated or so hungover the stench of booze was intolerable. I will NEVER go back here!

They called me when my shoes were ready. Nice touch. Picked up my 2 pairs of shoes, 1 needed a good shine and the other needed reinforcing of the soul. Got both done. Will be back.

I love that this place has protected spots for parking, because parking at any place on Lemmon Avenue in this area is so frequently terrible. I’ve been twice now. The first time, I had a Coach purse and a Kate Spade laptop bag repaired. I got them back in perfect condition, almost like new! Also, it wasn’t a terribly long turnaround to get my bags back.
I just dropped off a pair of black pumps to have the tips replaced and some scuffs fixed. It was a bit expensive, but I feel like once I find a fabulous pair of pumps that are comfortable, I’d rather pay to have them fixed than to try to find a new pair that are just as comfortable. I look forward to getting them back and expect they will look almost like new! I will write another post for that, fingers crossed I get just as good experience as I did my first trip!

If you’re a Louboutin wearing girl and don’t want the bottoms to be all scuffed and busted … Come here to get a seal/​cover or whatever they call it… It actually helps the fit and comfort if the heels.
I needed my shoes ready for an engagement and instead of having me wait 5 days, he had them ready for me in 2. I recieved a text message when my heels were ready to be picked up.
Overall service and quality was stellar.

new store. in an area notorious for no parking, they have protected slots. extremely helpful and courteous the moment I went in. I’m having leather curtains altered — not the usual shoe. No hesitation — instant ‘sure we can do this’. so nice to hear instead of the usual negative response to something new!
