Tours: average pricing for the area, $ 15 for 3 beers and tour, I believe tours are only Saturdays 3&4pm but doors open at 2. Not the best tour but definitely better than some in the area.
Atmosphere: the brewery and taproom is huge and accommodates a large number of people, dogs, and even kids. Picnic tables and stools are scattered throughout, also seating out back.
Restrooms: on Saturday this place was actually a huge mess, nobody is cleaning or anything, its just a disaster. And this applies to the brewery in general its seems to be pretty unkept
Games: giant jenga and cornhole, some board games available
Food truck out back on certain days including tour days, they also have live music
Bring your dog, friends & family this place is all about community

Hopsolutely the best craft brewery in the USA…
Had the pleasure of attending the 3 year anniversary party here, and it sure was a treat. There must have been 50 different types of beers to sample. And everything coming out of the keg just tasted special.
Found a new favorite… The Barrel Aged Legion is absolutely fantastic. Stopped by the local Specs this weekend and was excited to learn that they actually carry it there. Comes in a four pack and it will set you back about $ 20, but every sip is worth it. Its a heavy beer that you will want to slowly enjoy.
They also had vendors, food trucks and a photo booth at the party. How cool to have this brewery in our back yard! And if you missed the party you’re not too late… They have regular brewery tours, so check their website to learn more.

At Community, my group experienced an over-​crowded brewery with a completely underwhelming beer lineup. We stopped on a Saturday afternoon with plans to kill a couple hours before dinner and Stars game.
There was a ‘pints for pups’ event going on, and the large warehouse space was packed with people. There was a long line to enter and long lines at every beer station. The beer lineup was laughably weak. There was one beer available that I could not grab off the shelf any day of the week in Austin. My guess is that anything special was being held back for the upcoming anniversary party.
Community brews solid beers, but the brewery experience does not stack up.

Stopped by here on a Saturday with a friend and I have to say they have an awesome setup here. They have a ton of open floor space with seating for what seemed to be well over a hundred people. There was live music playing and a food truck outside as well. The beer was cheap and the vibe was chill. You could tell there were a lot of different groups there just having a good time and talking with one another.
The beer itself is also pretty good as I do like their Mosaic IPA though I can’t say the others would make it into my regular rotation. They definitely cruise to the top of my brewery list given the atmosphere and amount of things they have going on more than anything.
If you’re looking for something to do with friends on a weekend, I would definitely come check this place out.

I went on Wednesday for Trivia Night (my second time) and I was not let down! We had a group of 6 with our pups!
What I love most is that it is inside a warehouse, having lupus… this is a MAJOR win for me! They have Giant Jenga, Corn Toss, and more. They also have sports projected on the enormous white wall!
The staff is also VERY friendly and courteous.
What I love most is how dog friendly they are… My black lab, Brynlee, was off leash and just having her own fun. (granted… she is very well behaved)
Can’t wait to go back!

I mostly remember Community as The Covey in Ft. Worth. It was an amazing brewpub and a helluva bar that was attached to a restaurant with great food that was impossibly priced. At least for me and my income at the time. When it closed, everyone was sad. Jamie came back. We were thrilled.
The Design District just has more and more breweries popping up. This was the second one, I think? It’s right off the highway. Looks like you’re headed to a Conn’s, Michael’s, Ross, TJ Maxx, etc. The large parking area, the building, the location. You name it, it looks like a large retail strip mall. Right in the door, you’re greeted by an extremely small entryway.
Then a huge room with a bar.
The building is split into two large areas. The first is a pretty good sized taproom with a mid-​sized bar on the side. Stacks of pallets and tables serve as seating areas. There’s a small stage in the corner. Add in the somewhat ubiquitous giant Jenga, and we’re in business.
The other side is the brewery. It’s big. It’s clean. It’s awesome.
Staff at the bar is great. The crowd is usually laid back. We’ve run into a few crazies, but it wasn’t too bad and the staff made up for it.
The beer is some of the best in the area.
The brewery has plenty of events and is always looking for ways to better their community. The beers are made for the State Fair, with coffee from nearby Ascension, and team-​ups with other organizations.

After becoming a regular at Community, I can’t explain how fun this place is. I jut got back from trivia night and it was an absolute blast. The bartenders make an effort to get to know you by name and you can tell that everyone here legitimately cares about making a positive impact on their community (no pun intended?)
Seriously, these 5 stars are so well deserved.

When you first walk into this place, its size is impressive. The industrial warehouse touches make this place feel like you’re drinking inside a brewery, which YOU ARE! What a cool space! Seeing all the machinery and equipment was inspiring. Well, inspiring in the sense that it made me want to try all the beers they offered. It’s the kind of casual brewery environment that begs you to grab a beer after work or catch a game on one of their massive TVs.
I enjoyed all of the beers equally, and I think I know what people mean when they say they like all their children equally. I like all of Community Beer’s children equally. Great beer with a range of flavors.
Community Beer brings in food trucks to offer their patrons something to soak up all their beer. It’s a nice touch because it gives you options, and each time you visit, you can try something new. On this visit, I opted for the sushi at the food truck and was blown away: fried, fresh, seasoned, and spicy. Delicious bites, and the seasoned edamame was a tasty treat too.
All in all, this place is great for after work, a meeting place for the buds, or could even be a cool eclectic place for a date. If you’re around Dallas, you should check this place out.

The easiest way to become my friend is to offer me beer. Preferably pale ales and IPAs, in that order.
I love Community Beer. I love their razzy witbier. I love the sundial IPA. One beer and I’m in a pretty happy place — I’m a cheap date. The atmosphere at Community is super chill and laid back. All the bartenders are really pleasant and willing to offer you samples before you whip your wallet out for a pint. Don’t even act like you’re not going to get one, or two, or three.
They’re dog friendly and most of the dog owners are okay about folks coming up and squealing. There’s a lot of «oh my gosh look at that puppy.» I’m sorry if I was one of these individuals two beers in.
They have a large area in the back for food trucks. They always have a variety of food trucks out back for public events. For private events, the food trucks will most likely be in the very front of the brewery and be limited to about 3 trucks versus 5 – 6 trucks.
So come on down, get a few beers, gorge on drunk food, pet some dogs, and call it a day.

Attended the Design District Market event — had a great time. Food trucks, lawn (parking lot) games, baby swimming pools with lawn chairs — too cute, merchants, artists, music and of course BEER! Thank you for the good time!

Wide open space, a food truck, beanbags (aka cornhole) and a violinist playing the theme song to Game of Thrones… What’s not to love? Oh yeah… The beer. Ultimately it’s the beer that makes a brewery worth while and sadly I was very unimpressed with Community’s brew. If you’ve had it before and love it, by all means ignore my review. However if you haven’t had their beer before and are looking for a brewery in this corner of Dallas, there’s a few nearby I’d recommend you check out first. L’chaim!

Get ready to bask in the yeasty fermentation scents of the brewery. Breathe it in. At first it’s overwhelming, but after an hour or so it’s only slightly offensive. This place is pup friendly. So bring your pooch and the appropriate stuffs to clean up after your pooch. Don’t be that guy. There’s giant jenga– who doesn’t love that? Bring a marker to deface the walls like all the heathens who came here before you. Tip the bartenders. There’s a huge parking lot so don’t feel like you need to park along the side streets. This is a great place for work events or social gatherings. Try the raspberry wit– it’s my favorite.

You will not find a more fun thing to do on a Saturday afternoon than this. I will take you through the pure genius of this place one thing at a time.
Price: Ten bucks per adult if you buy tickets online at least a day ahead of time. They stop selling them online the day of, so you will be SOL if you don’t plan ahead. Not totally out of luck though, because you can pay at the door, but it’ll cost you $ 15 (I know it’s only five bucks, but this is insider information okay?). Kids and dogs are welcome. They do not have to pay. The entry price includes three beers!
Music: I have been here twice and both times I was AMAZED by the talent the live bands displayed. Usually when places have live music as a bonus it is nice for background noise, but this place has a knack for finding seriously good talent. A bunch of people (including us) gathered around the stage to watch the guy that played popular rock songs on his violin a couple of weeks ago. They play it well and they play it loud and that contributes to a fantastic environment.
Air Conditioning: This brewery is indoors and they keep it nice and comfy, especially on sweltering days where you would surely melt if you went to an outdoor bar instead.
Games: They have all kinds of entertainment for adults and for kids. Everyone enjoys giant Jenga. There are two massive towers for your pleasure. They also have about six cornhole sets and it is all spaced out evenly in front of the stage and in the brewing room. There are board games too. You can grab one and take it to your table if you want a healthy game of Cards Against Humanity with your delicious beverages.
Beer: You won’t find fresher beer than from the source! This is the place where the delicious Community beers are born. They have about six to choose from that are included in the admission price. I like them all. If you drink the three that you get with your ticket, just go back up front and buy another three for $ 10.
Family members: Dogs are welcome. The first time we went, they were throwing a birthday party for a Great Dane, complete with balloons and a doggie cake. They have treats and bowls of water for your furry friends. Children are also welcome and they will have just as much fun as the grown ups. I took my whole family here when they came to visit from the East coast and my two sisters (9 and 15 years old) had a blast!
Food: There is a food truck on site out back. You can get lunch if you get hungry.
I have been to almost every brewery in Dallas and this one blows them all away. The atmosphere, the beer, the AC, the music all of this is so much better than the rest that I still cannot believe that more people do not know of this place. It does get busy, but I have not seen it sell out yet. I am certain that will change though, so get in there and have a happy Saturday while you still can.

As soon as you walk in, you can smell those malts, hops, yeasts, …brewing up into something delicious.
Community Brewery folks are nice and welcoming, which makes sense because this spot is a cool, chill, hang out with some great tasting suds. The Razzy Wit beer is my favorite. It is Not at all sweet…, just has the faint taste and smell of fresh raspberries.
Lots of nice beers to choose from. My hubby is a fascinated with craft beers, and he enjoyed sampling almost all the beers. His expert opinion, «not a bad one in the lot.» :-)
Great spot to meet folks — there are all sorts of games to play in the back part of the brewery. Also, there is often live music here.
Another huge plus is that they have their own free parking lot! No driving around waiting for a meter or other street spot to open.
They are also dog friendly and have massive screens, which means it’s a go to spot for watching games.

Community may be my favorite brewery in DFW. I’ve done their Saturday tour a handful of times. Really fun with food trucks and art and live music. It’s also dog-​friendly so I’ve met several adorable furry friends. It’s also fun to just sit and talk & enjoy fresh delicious beer from the tap with friends.

Underrated place to come grab a quick HH. Really spacious and roomy and plenty of seating. Plus, very dog friendly even inside. I wish they would have opened the back door when we went last time as it can seem a bit dreary during the day.
Great place to watch sporting events too as the projector screens are absolutely massive.

I have a different point of view about this place simply because my first attendance here was a special event put on my University. We had the whole brewery room occupied and had unlimited beer for $ 10 (THIS IS NOT THEIR USUAL PRICE). That being said, it is a really cool microbrewery and the guys getting our drinks were amiable and easy to chat with.
The three (out of 6) beers that I tried were the Mosaic IPA, the Public Ale, and their stout – Legion. I loved al of them. Frankly I can only stomach one or two stouts before I get to full or I get a little to buzzed (Legion has 10% ABV – a thumbs up I would say). But Legion is delicious and rich. The Mosaic is a typical IPA I would conclude – strong and hoppy. To wash them all down, I would go with the lighter Public Ale. Golden and foamy as it should be.
I really fun-​looking place with a good selection of beer and they had several projectors showing sports, so you could relax and enjoy a beer. The hours are very particular, so check them out before you make a random decision to go and enjoy their beer!

Really fun place! It’s a huge open space with a few tables, live music, a couple vendors selling local art, 2 giant jengas and a few other games as well. Outside they have 4 or 5 games of cornhole (or bags, or beans, or bean bag toss, or whatever you call it depending on what part of the country you’re from) set up along with picnic tables and a food truck. It felt like a big, chill, college house party for those of us who have more refined tastes in beer (i.e. not drinking Keystone Light til you’re falling down drunk).
The set up was a little strange. At the door it is $ 15 for 3 tokens that equate to 3 beers, and you are given a disposable plastic cup ($ 2 or $ 3 more and you can buy a glass pint glass to keep). There are a few lines roped off for the bar in the main room, but there is also a bar in the back with shorter lines, though it has fewer beer options. It seemed to be pretty organized. Tokens do make everything fast and simple since no one has to deal with counting out cash or signing receipts. However… I’m pretty sure this also means 90% of people don’t remember to tip the bartenders since you pre-​pay for the beers at the door. Make sure to bring cash for the tip jars!!!
The beer is above average. I love the Legion Imperial Stout (though I didn’t love it so much on a hot Dallas afternoon where I happened to be wearing head to toe black outside in the sun… metalhead problems). Their other beers are pretty solid, if not super unique. Also, Community’s hours make it a little more accessible than some of the other big Texas breweries (Peticolas and Lakewood are only open 12 – 3 on Saturdays, and only every other Saturday for Peticolas, much to my dismay as I didn’t realize this until I’d already driven there…)
Also this place is dog friendly, which is either super awesome or not so appealing, depending on your feelings towards the creatures… I fall into the latter camp.

$ 10 = 3 beers (at least that’s the price if you get tickets online)
Pretty good deal in and of itself, but add to that the big projection screens showing games (football in most cases), the giant Jenga games, the vendors (which regularly change), the artists, the food truck outside (pretty good food always, whoever the vendors are), the fun atmosphere, and coming here makes perfect sense for a fun weekend afternoon.
Also, dog and kid friendly, as long as both can behave in public settings. So bring the whole family and have some good brews and a relaxed start to the weekend!

Pros:
–They are brewing the best and most consistent brews in Dallas
–Located in Central Dallas and right off the freeway
–Tasting room is in a large warehouse that has a/​c! Hallelujah
–They have special brews in their taproom that aren’t available elsewhere
–Plenty of picnic tables for seating
–Jumbo jenga (always a plus!)
Cons:
–Pricing is a bit high. Maybe that’s because everything is fancier in Dallas? I dunno. But $ 10 for a sampler tray of 5 is a bit steep and a full glass runs around $ 5 (not sure how much each pint was but for 4 beers it was $ 21). That’s regular bar prices. I would think somewhere around $ 3 would be more appropriate for a tap room.
–While their taproom has a/​c, the warehouse is a vacuum. I mean, it’s a warehouse, so I’m not sure what more they can do there.
–When you get the sampler, the tasting glasses are placed on a sheet of paper with the name filled in. They should invest in some tasting paddles.
Our favorite brews were the Mosaic IPA, regular wit, special raspberry wit and their Ascension coffee porter.
