Love the free tastings on Thursday, though it’s always more than a little expected that you’ll buy a bottle on your way out. With the prices beginning around $ 20, it’s a bit expensive, but they do have an excellent selection and a super helpful staff. Also, Grimaldi’s next door has a great pie that you can bring over.

Stopped in on our anniversary, before dinner at Al Biernet’s. We each tried a red flight. Mine were the bigger cabs and her’s were heartier reds. We both enjoyed the selection. Well run, nice area, helpful staff! Something I did not know, they have a good selection of craft beer available.

Around the corner from Max’s Wine Dive, this cute place is sort of hidden among many stores and restaurants. The staff that work there are so knowledgable about their wines, it’s very refreshing. Not to mention you can either start a tab or load a card with money and go from station to station to order wine. Each station is a different category of wine, complete with a computer to read about the different wines, before placing your order on the computer, for either a taste or a full glass. When we went to Cork, the Sweet and Crisp wines were part of happy hour, so each glass was the same price. Lastly, get a cheese plate, they are yummy!

Quick look rating: 5⁄5 Food & Quality, 5⁄5 Service, 4⁄5 Experience **Highlights: ~ Great place for conversations, ~ clean, ~ well laid out, ~ great customer service, ~ can be romantic, ~ expand your wine knowledge, ~ optional room in the back to reserve, ~ great front porch if the weather is good! Cons: ~ My friends spoke of the drinks were priced just a bit high, compared to other local places. Setup a Unilocal event here to celebrate«national wine day». The place is just north of downtown Dallas in Uptown. It has a fun little patio and when the weather is good, the patio is wonderful to enjoy with friends! I like the Cork Wine Bar and would recommend the place!

I’d say this place gets most of its brownie points for its excellent service. I’ve never been disappointed by the staff here. It’s a perfect date night if you don’t wish to be crowded by the typical uptown crew and is very unassuming from the outside. They offer a selection of wines from around the world, which you can purchase by the glass or bottle, and beer. They offer a limited menu of food items, so I’d recommend ordering from neighboring restaurants if you’re hungry(Sushi Zushi, Grimaldi’s). This place is great for conversation and is unpretentious as would be expected from most wine bars. The interior is well decorated with cork adorning the walkways and wood panel accents along the walls. There’s plenty of seating on the inside and outside, perfect for a chill night out!

Great assortment of wines on tap… from around the world. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have happy hour pricing and also wine tasting. They will also allow you to bring in food to enjoy with the wine. There is a room in the back for private parties. Comfortable seating and a nice selection of wine to buy to take out too.

This is such a cute wine bar. It was very modern yet tucked away. $ 5 glasses on Tuesday. If you go early you can visit and enjoy a nice conversation in a quiet spot with your friends. Digital screens to display the wine and all. The staff is so very helpful.

I actually got stuck here during a tornado warning. Needless to say, this is a great place to spend your time during bad weather. The place is filled with wines from all over the world. They also serve beers as well but the wine selection is massive. I ended up getting the Elena wine and relaxing in the back room. There is plenty of space to enjoy your wine in the store or you can take it home. The wait staff makes sure your wine stays cold(if need be) and replaces your glass each time you finish a glass. Also, you can order a food from other places in the area and bring it in the wine bar. This is a great wine bar and I am quickly becoming a regular.

Came on a Thursday night with a friend and it was relatively empty, which we liked. Perfect place for a classy girls night. There is a large private room in the back that would be great for company events or larger parties. You have the option to 1) Buy a bottle to take home 2) buy a bottle and drink there 3) Purchase glasses(6oz)and samples(1oz) by the glass. Everything is electronic! Crazy! Never seen a whine bar like this! I love the ability to be able to taste different types of wines. People there are very knowledgeable and can help you choose a wine. We choose to buy a bottle and drink it there with some wine, cheese, and chacuterie. Loved coming for girls night, and it would be a great date night too! Sadly, my boyfriend isn’t into wine. But, I think this would be the perfect venue to get him into it.

I’ve come here a couple times for their wine, for their free wine tasting events, and even hosted a bridal shower in their private event room. Their wine is fabulous and my favorite one has this circus photo on it. I’ve really enjoyed their free wine tasting events as they are generous with the wine pourings. Stephanie, the owner, was lovely to work with in regards to booking an event. I asked several questions before the event and she responded to my emails quickly. The private event space is in the back of the store and can accommodate several people. We got the bronze package and there were still several bottles of wine left. I decided to cater from Central Market instead of from Cork as they do not offer as much variety in food. However, Cork does charge extra for an outside caterer. They will write letters in chalk on their chalk board prior to the event and even provide guests with chalk to write on the wall during the event. The pourer was super sweet and they even cleaned the rest of the plates and trash after the event. We needed minimal decorations as the place is already pretty classy.

Came to this wine bar with a large group for happy hour. Inside they have many self-service kiosk/screens to order a wide variety wine from. Can get full glass(better value) or a tasting portion. Initially Confusing thing — not all screens have same wine selection. They are sectioned off in groups. Was a bit annoying to have to navigate through the crowd. Happy hour is a good deal(50% off select wines(designated separated kiosk). Some of these wines taste much better than others. Service: A bit slow, but they were very busy. Generally was able to order and receive glasses of wine with a short wait. Staff was able give recommendations. Took 10+ minutes to pay my tab. Bottom Line: Ok experience once past the learning curve with the wine selection availability at the kiosks. Would revisit for ladies night or after a rough day at work.

Seven stars. Thirteen! Everyone come! This place is exactly like a stand-alone tasting room in Sonoma or Napa. It’s not specific to one brand, so you’ll get around the world experiences. Ambiance is amazing, décor is lovely, they have TV’s for those who are dying to watch(insert show or game of choice here), and they allow you to bring in food from outside if you need a full meal. This means, you can have your Sushi Zushi or Grimaldi’s or Babush right here whist you enjoy a ton of lovely wines. Hello!!! They also have chocolates, cheeses and meats for your pairing pleasures. Seriously, make this your next stop for dinner or to start out your evening. The staff are super friendly to boot. And, they have carry out beverages, including build-your-own beer six pack. There is absolutely nothing to not love about this place. Please come and experience a small piece of Napa here in Texas!

I hosted a happy hour event at Cork on July 17, and was quite disappointed. I brought so much business to the place with around 80 attendees, only to encounter a rude & ungrateful manager. I requested to check people in at the front, and was turned down, even after having made a reservation weeks in advance. To make matters worse, Stephanie, the manager told me I could leave if I didn’t like it! Leave? Seriously?! The rudest comment I’ve heard from any manager in the service industry. Stephanie’s excuse was that her regulars would be confused. I saw 4 other people aside from our group, so much for her huge crowd of regulars I would have left right there and then, but couldn’t leave my 80+ people in the group hanging. I will not be going back to Cork. I run one of the largest meetup groups in Dallas with 4100+ members. I will be taking my group elsewhere. Check out Uptown Young Professionals on Some of my favorite spots for happy hour that are welcoming to large groups are: the W, the Nylo, Sisu, Candleroom, the Eberhardt, Parliament & Sambucca. If you have an event avoid Cork & Stephanie at all costs. P. S. To be fair, the other bartenders were nice.

A favorite for my girlfriends and I! Compared to the many other wine bars that Dallas has to offer, Cork by far, seems to be the more casual, more friendly, and cheaper wine bar. The concept of Cork is none I’ve seen before. When you walk in, to the right, you will see a station with many different wines lined up with touch screens that allow you to read all about the wine. There, you can choose to sample the wine ranging from $ 1.5 and up, usually no more than about $ 4 for a sample. In doing this, you’ll use your Cork card that you swipe on your own for a sample, and the server/hostess will accompany you with the sample you chose. This is such a neat concept and doesn’t cost you a pretty penny! After you choose your glass/bottle, you can have a seat inside where its casual and fun, or you can sit outside in their patio and enjoy the weather :) P. S. Cork allows BYOF; bring your own food! Although they do have a menu that offers a variety of meats and cheeses, Grimaldi’s is next door and they will deliver to you at cork, free of charge. You can’t go wrong with good pizza and good wine :)

There’s a reason Cork has the best rating for Dallas wine bars: it’s awesome! It’s not the kind of standard wine bar where you order a random glass of whatever and retreat into a dark little velvety corner. This place commands that you are present and ready to enjoy! You have a few options. 1. Buy retail. When you walk in, you see a big retail section ordered by country and then for domestic wines, by grape varietal. Stephanie, the owner, has an excellent and eclectic and razor-sharp palate that favors wines with interesting stuff going on, and the selection reflects that. At the same time, the selection also caters to the business dudes who want their big Napa Cabernets and Champagnes. The stock is carefully curated, as is everything in the place. The second I walked in, I was impressed. You can pretend it’s a wine store only, grab some bottles, and head out the door(after paying). 2. Buy retail and then DRINKIT. Cork has a license that allows you to buy your bottle of Pinot Noir and then just open it right up and drink it. The staff will open it for you, give you however many glasses you want, and set you up wherever you want to be. This is a great deal and works if you and your party can agree on something. You can also take what you don’t finish TOGO! No lose situation. 3. Try out the awesome tasting bar. This is the best feature of the place. Cork has a system that preserves bottles of wine perfectly for weeks, which means they can have a LOT of wines by the glass(48!) and there’s no pressure to sell through anything like there would be at a restaurant. That way, the knowledgable staff can truly tell you what they like, what’s popular that day, and what they think you’d like. The wines are organized by general adjectives– if you like sweet and crisp, there’s a section for you. Big and bold, you’ve got a section too. Another major bonus: two tasting sizes. If you want to try six wines, you can get the tasting size which is smaller than a glass. It would be fun to do the whole lineup one day! You can read about the wines on handy touch screens. They also have a small menu of cheeses, artisan chocolates, and little snacks. If you’re really hungry, you can order food from neighboring restaurants and eat it with your wine! Highly recommended. Nice, responsive staff, great wines– even a great place to study. Gets hoppin’ on the weekends!

I’ve been here for birthday parties and tastings… love when they do their wine tastings! Great French wines. It’s a laid back, relaxed environment. Order some flights and savor each glass. It’s a nice spacious bar area. The cheese plate is very good and pairs well with the wines. I have not actually had a full meal here yet. But I plan to! Definitely hit it up if you’re cursing around Uptown looking for something grown and sexy to do.

What a trendy little place to bring a date or have a girls’ night out! They have a small seating area and also serve cheeses and other small food items to go with your wine. You can order by the glass or bottle, or simply just taste all the different wines they offer. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable! The main reason I go here is for the Villa Rosa Moscato D’asti. I can’t find this brand at any other store and I haven’t found anything else to match the sweetness and crisp apple flavor of this brand. If you’re looking for a very sweet Moscato, go here! The bottle is about $ 20 including tax.
