Dallas Public Library – Park Forest

Great place to study… large tables but it is cold so bring a jacket!
It looks like they have lots of kids activities… So something to check out!

One of the older locations in my area. The staff is great but their selection isn’t always the best. I know they are more then willing to get the books your looking for but the overall selection is very dated. I enjoy coming here but after school and weekends it can be very hectic. The librarians are so friendly and always willing to help you search for a book or call and get it placed on hold. I really wish there was a way to help replenish your favorite library locations so they can get those newer editions of great books. I am not sure how the city gives money for libraries but I know there computers and video areas are always full. They have a great program where you can rent dvd’s for free and the collection is a little old but hey nothing wrong with kicking it old school at times.
I know the city and this location have some great summer reading programs that are geared for kids. They give away great prizes and normally involve the local schools to enhance prizes and allow the kids recognition. I love this location it is well kept and my only wish is they could just get some newer editions of books.
