My first time here and my last time! I asked if the catfish was indeed catfish and the young woman told me yes it was. So i ordered the «Jody» and a five piece mixed chicken.
Ok. I get home and this indeed catfish is actually some sort of long skinny imposter fish thing, perhaps it’s «Swai» smh. It wasn’t fried long enough it was limp. Now to the chicken not tasty at all yes I could see the herbs n spices in the batter but it had a weird taste maybe buttermilk n idk what else.
If you can see the batter in its original form you know the yellow wet form it’s NOT fried all the way. Sorry I didn’t like this place. On 2 the next place.

The name «Succulent» is exactly the best way to describe the food here. I stumbled onto this place a couple of years ago and have been going back ever since. It’s a bit out of the way for me, but well worth the drive.
It’s maybe not the best neighborhood (Loop 12 & Singleton) but the staff are more than nice and accommodating.
What’s the best chicken? Fried or Grilled… I still can’t decide, so I go with half & half because there both so good and yes… Succulent!

Is there anything more succulent than dicks? I yearn for dicks all day and night. My dreams are consumed. I can’t focus on work as I am distracted thinking about dicks. Sneak away with me for a nooner; you know you need your dicks fix too.

I live in DC and every time I come to Dallas I make a quick stop at dicks! They do have the best fried chicken I’ve had. Its not just a regular fried chicken, they seasoned and you can actually see the spices in the chicken. It taste like homemade fried chicken. It’s not greasy, which is def a plus to me. I like to eat with the jalapeño ranch spice, it’s great. I also love the homemade biscuit! Yummy! Whipped potato (which is pretty much like mashed potato) is also delicious. They have good specials during the week.
The staff is very friendly and they speak Spanish!

The chicken is freaking awesome. Some of the best fried pickles and onion rings!!! Portions are large. A must go if you haven’t been here.

Had a shrimp po-boy. The bread is amazing. T — shirts are funny also. Rough side of town, truck stop BS, but friendly and clean place to grub. I want to try the gumbo next. Went back and bought chicken at closing time. Worst fried chicken I have ever had. Cost was too high as well.

Everything is excellent here. The Fish tacos are fantastic! Red beans and rice and whipped potatoes are really tasty. Shrimp is swimmingly good and the catfish is kitty approved. Hush puppies will make you howl at the moon. Everyone there is so friendly.

Awesome food! Definitely going again. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Mashed potatoes were out of this world. Lots of options too, they’ve got a pretty diverse menu. If you’re looking for a fried chicken (and other stuff too) place, look no further these guys do it right.

First time customer… I had the 2 piece special (2piece dark, fried chicken) and it was delicious! If I’ve ever eaten better chicken, I can’t remember when! Cole slaw was surprisingly spicy, but good.
The catchy name got me in… the tasty food will bring me back !!!
