I love this place. Fairly priced, casual atmosphere, and food is good. I love Jorge’s tacos!

Tasty/strong drinks, great food and wonderful service(Tessa). If you are in the Uptown area this place can’t be beat for great Tex-mex. All of the enchilada dinner plates are great and the shrimp beso is the best thing on the menu !

Gah I love this place. The Tex-Mex here fires strong on all cylinders. I’ve gone twice in one day before. I think if you go twice in one day somewhere you owe them a solid Unilocal review. Sitting outside patio for lunch on a Sunday, or whenever really, is incredibly nice. They even zip you in if its cold. The service is always fantastic. Get the E Bar Queso, it’s loaded with taco meat, avocado slices, sour cream & magic. That comes out of the gate hot and fast. The Queso and the Chicken Enchiladas are my go to orders. I like the sports bar area too. I’m starving now. I should have written this 5 star review at E Bar. I should write everything @ E Bar. I’ve heard the breakfast is good & I’d like to get in for some Migas. I’ve seen the pulled pork Tacos De Carnitas devoured by friends and I gotta try them too along with those sexy Flautas. One day. Soon. Maybe tonight.

Finally went to E bar last night! The place was packed. Great atmosphere too! Very casual, TVs had all the games on. Ordered the queso to start, it’s that amazing white queso that’s a bit hard to find… Ended up deciding on the chicken enchiladas and they did not disappoint! Ended up needing a to-go box because I couldn’t finish it.

Mediocre Tex Mex. Queso didn’t really have any flavor but the Salsa was pretty good. I got the Jorge’s tacos which I had heard a lot about. I wasn’t impressed. Very greasy. The tortilla soup was the saving grace of this meal! It’s to die for! Fast service, decent margaritas, nice patio.

The owner is the prior partner at Matitos. I live in East Dallas(walking distance from this restaurant) and over the last two years of living there and dining here, the place has doubled in size and still fills every seat. It’s good local tex-mex. It’s affordable and the margaritas on the rocks are«one and done». The food can sometime lack flavor(fajita meat in particular), but as local as it is and easy, I don’t complain. There A LOT of regulars in there, though. They get preferential treatment from what I can tell(I am included in this now), but keep coming back and you’ll be part of the crew too. Forgo MiCocina or Mannys and give this a shot. You won’t be dissappointed.

What a terrific place. $ 3 margaritas on Tuesday(and good ones… Not too sweet: cough Mia’s cough:) Best shrimp tacos I’ve had in town so far. And everyone gets an individual salad bowl with chips. They treat you fast and right. The best.

Friendly service, great food, fun atmosphere. My favorite place in Dallas for Tex-mex. I love the enchiladas and my boyfriend swears by the brisket tacos. Margaritas are yummy too! Complimentary chips and salsa, quick and friendly service plus the location makes this a Dallas gem. Beware, it gets busy and sometimes parking is a pain. But overall — so worth it!

Exceeded expectations. It’s in a bit of a dead area but don’t let that deter you. The vibe was friendly and comfortable. I’m from Texas and I know we all use different yard sticks to measure our Tex Mex. Here’s the breakdown: Salsa: delicious. Tastes fresh and has the right amount of spice. Queso: it’s queso blanco, not your typical Tex Mex queso. I think it’s a bit polarizing. Out of my party of 8, about half loved it and the other half didn’t. I thought it had good flavor but was too runny for my liking. Flour tortillas: soft and seemingly freshly made. Margaritas: strong and not too sweet. Rice and beans: rice was standard, wasn’t a huge fan of the beans bc of the bacon flavor.(Warning for vegetarians: all of their bean options(refried and black bean) have bacon in them. Their rice is made with chicken stock.) Standout entrees: cheese enchiladas with tomatillo salsa, Jorge’s tacos(ordered with ground beef, beef fajita and carnitas and all were awesome) and Migas.

Quick look rating: 4⁄5 Food & Quality, 5⁄5 Service, 5⁄5 Experience *To order: The green chili chicken enchiladas! Great green chili chicken enchiladas, you stole my heart! I liked the enchiladas, the plate rated good solid B, or A-, it might have been that we all were more focused the great care the bartender showed us and the birthday celebrations! Met a buddy here for his birthday. He, his mother and sister had just finished their meal, his family had to get back to work, but the birthday boy stayed! Joined them at the bar before they left, where the sweet bartender took my order of a green chili chicken enchiladas. Sampled a margarita that was pretty darn good made with cointreau and triple sec! Had some fresh chips and salsa that wasn’t to bad. My lunch arrived pretty darn fast! The green chili on top of the enchiladas had a great taste with a hint of garlic and the shredded chicken was cooked to perfection. I would order the something again, but it did not floor me. I’ve picked out a few things that I want to try next time. The real winner was the bartender, who treated our growing birthday crowd with true kindness! She was a hoot! Drinks were made with true top service! **On my list to try next time: Jorge’s tacos, fish tacos, or the carne picosa with beef tenderloin. I look forward to returning soon!

Hey hey! Every time I come here I am going to give it 5 stars because I love it. I really can’t go on and on about everything because I love everything about this place! Check my check ins for pics. Ernie and Eddie are the best! I love the renovations. Jorge! Bartender is amazing. Cliff, Tes, Chad, matt and Kat! The patio which is heated during winter. I love to come watch football here! They have all the games on and lots of regulars too. They are the best in service! But I m trying to keep it a secret so it won’t be so busy all day. Breakfast all day! Late kitchen too. But come during the off hours so you can really enjoy the time and meet the staff.

Pretty decent little place. Seems more like a bar, than restaurant. Not really set up for big groups. But overall pretty good experience. There is a patio outside that is covered for the winter times w/heaters outside. I had the steak fajitas and they were really good! The service was excellent.

Beware ordering from here with a delivery service. I’m an OB physician at Parkland Hospital and we ordered dinner this evening for our team working an overnight shift on labor & delivery. When the delivery service arrived to pick up our order they would not release it to an «unauthorized» third party and instead chose to throw the food away. I have been to this restaurant before and have enjoyed their food on several occasions and was excited to share this place with my coworkers, but as a result of this poor customer service I will not be back here in the future. Lost several customers tonight. Disappointing.

I made my first visit on a Friday evening for dinner. Upon arriving the place was really crowded which is usually a good sign. Thankfully, there was no wait andI was seated immediately with no wait. After being seated complimentary chips and salsa were served. The salsa was fresh and very delicious. I ordered some queso to go with the chips/salsa and it was amazing. I also had a margarita(on the rocks) which packed a nice little punch. For my entrée I ordered Jorge’s Tacos which turned out to be a good option. It comes with four tacos(grilled corn tortillas) and your choice of ground beef, shredded chicken, shredded beef or carnitas. I went with 2 shredded chicken, 1 ground beef and 1 carnitas. While all were decent, the ground beef and carnitas were the by far the best. For the all the flavor the ground beef and carnitas contained, the chicken was equally lacking in flavor. Next time I will skip the chicken and stick with the ground beef and carnitas. Service was on par throughout the night. The server did a great job of being available just enough to without being a constant interruption. She saw to it that fresh chips were constantly on the tab le and water glasses never went empty. While I wouldn’t call this a sports bar, it definitely has that feel as there are multiple TVs available which were all tuned to either baseball or soccer. The TVs are placed throughout so they viewable from most of the seating. There is a nice looking covered patio available that I hope to try out. Overall I enjoyed my first visit to E Bar. I’m definitely a fan and will return.

Seriously love this place! I can’t even focus on one single thing here; Everything is amazing! The service, 5 star. The food, 5 star. The drinks, 7 stars. Two margaritas have you feeling pretty nice. Tuesday night is margarita night so $ 3 margaritas, a little smaller than normal, but three do the trick ;) Such an awesome spot. Go at least 3 times a month. Best flan, me, my mother, and grandmother have ever had. Homemade from scratch in house. Um, yum. Only complaint, wish the kitchen stayed open later! :(

This is a great neighborhood tex-mex spot. You want yummy margaritas? They got ‘em. Great appetizers and the usual tex-mex foodses are there and yum. They also have a good fish tacos and I hear the cheeseburger is awesome(next time!). Parking is kinda dicey but I’ve never had a problem getting a spot. And hey– did you know they DELIVER? Woot!

This place is great for anyone in the area! I came here last night with a couple coworkers. Staff was all super friendly and super prompt. We were seated outside on the patio right away. Server was quick to bring menus and waters. I guess it was happy hour when we came, $ 3 Margaritas!!! WHATT?! My two coworkers got two different margaritas(frozen mango and the original on the rocks with salt) and I got the micheladas with a Modelo. Their bloody mix is DELICIOUS! and the other two thought their margaritas were super yummy. The chips were super addictive that I was almost full from the amount I ate. The salsa(which they bring each person their own which is awesome!) was perfectly spicy(I like spicy) and not too runny. I ordered the veggie fajitas. It was squash, mushrooms, carrots, onions and spinach. Not too oily, but cooked perfectly! Came with the normal stuff on the side; guac, sour cream, beans, rice, tomatoes, and tortillas. Total for 3 entrees and 3 happy hour drinks, $ 43!!! I will definitely be back. Yum!

I’m only in Dallas for a day, and really wanted to try some Tex Mex. My flight got in late, but fortunately this location is open till late. Close time is 2, but kitchen only stays open till midnight. I called in my order, the guy was pretty cool and told me my order would be ready in 10 – 15. They have a good sized little parking lot, I walked into the bar and my order was ready to go. No muss no fuss. Now, into the food. I ordered the Jorge’s taco meal which comes with 4 tacos. I tried the shrimp, chicken, carnitas, and brisket. All of the tacos were tasty. The brisket however was a bit moist and dripped when I ate it, but it was still yummy. I saw some people claiming the chicken tacos weren’t so good, but I thought they were good, just not anything out of the ordinary. My favorite was probably the shrimp taco. And the salsa that accompanied the meal complimented the carnitas and chicken tacos really well. The beans tasted different than what I’m used to in SoCal, maybe I detected a hint of barbecue in them or something like that. The rice had a hint of spices that I’m not used too either, but not overpowering. The chips and salsa that came with the meal were nothing special, but maybe that’s because they were to go.
