Closed??? Noooooooooooooo! Guess I’ll be going to their Plano location more often!

I really like the concept of this place! You get to build your own wood-fire pizza, kind of like the subway or chipotle for pizza. My friend Alex Q. took me here, and I’m really glad I tried it out. When you walk in the door, you start with some hand-pulled pizza dough, and you can choose a base pizza(e.g. margherita or marinara, etc.). Then, you add whatever toppings you want, which I think were around $ 0.75-$ 1.00 each? If you check in on Unilocal, you get a free meat topping! I got the margherita with sausage, soppressata, and spinach. With my coupon, the total came out to be around $ 10, which is a pretty good deal for a custom fresh pizza. Oh, don’t forget to tip when you pay at the front since you pay before you sit down. My pizza was delicious and very satisfying. I finished the whole thing and am not at all ashamed.

Love this place for when I want a neopolitan pizza with more options and don’t want to wait for a table at Cane Rosso. It’s an awesome spot for lunch and a quick dinner. The menu items and toppings selections are great and can accommodate anyone with food restrictions.

Came on a Wednesday at 12:30pm with a pack Dos Equis(it’s BYOB!!!) to share between a girlfriend and I, and 4 eyes quietly judging us. Lol it was pretty empty, which surprised us! There were only 3 other adults plus one child eating… And here we were, so worried about a «lunch rush»! Ha We ordered off the«favorites» menu, the prosciutto arugula personal sized pizza for $ 10.50. The pie is big enough to share between two people but this particular pizza didn’t have enough meat to fill us up. Essentially we felt like we were eating bread with arugula, so we were pretty disappointed! We thought about ordering another pie(one with more meat and more filling) but we were so full off the bread we decided not to. Clean restaurant with lots of space and neat concept with the build your own pie option, $ 1.50 corking fee per person & free sparkling water. Good and fast customer service. Wish we could’ve enjoyed this place more and left more satisfied but I think it was a miss for us.

There’s a lot of good pizza in Dallas, and while Firecrust has great selection and value, it doesn’t quite compete with the Dallas pizza duopoly that is Neo( ) and Cane Rosso( ) Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Building off of the 800 degrees model( ), Firecrust has a concept that’s appealing to individual and group alike. You walk in, place your order and select your toppings, and then take a number and wait for your freshly cooked pizza to arrive. The menu is broad, the seating abundant, and the atmosphere suitable for good conversation or watching a game. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? The value here at Firecrust is better than anything I’ve found at essentially any other pizzeria, and I was truly blown away when my personal pizza amounted to just shy of $ 8.00 for what could have easily been a portion and a half. To ensure that I truly hated myself at the end of my meal, I went on to order a very reasonably priced $ 6.00 s’mores calzone, which was also some serious value. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? I don’t want to use the cliché«you get what you pay for» line, but my Salame Picante pizza and s’mores calzone were just okay. The crust didn’t have much flavor(and to be honest neither did the sauce), and while I can appreciate that authentic neapolitan pizza is crispy on the perimeter but soft in the middle, the center of my pizza was soft to the point of not even being able to sustain itself while folded, which is a bit softer than normal. My second complaint regarding my pizza was that it fell victim to the«slider» effect, where, for reasons I don’t quite understand, a single bite had all of the toppings easily sliding right off onto my plate. Bummer. The s’mores calzone, while a great concept, was really nothing more than a bit of chocolate inside of some folded up crust: very little marshmallow and essentially no graham cracker crumbles. This was nothing awful, but it was a bit forgettable with regard to the flavors and the way it all came together. Single Star Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Firecrust is a great concept that’s being replicated across the country, but the Dallas pizza scene is simply too strong for me to recommend it regularly. No Star Granted.

First time visiting and their staff helped walk is through the menu. Ingredients were fresh with numerous choices for toppings. The pizza are a little large so come hungry. You could easily split a pizza and a salad between two people. The restaurant is nicer than many of the«make your own pizza» places and very clean. The crust had a really unique flavor — just a little burned yet light and fluffy. Something I was very surprised to see… they allow BYOB for a small corkage fee. Nice touch for a fast casual restaurant. I would change only two things: 1. Switch to Coke products(they currently have Pepsi). 2. They only had one pepper mill so you had to wait for other tables to finish using it. It would have been nice to have had more available.

I’ve been here a couple times and the best way I can describe it is a Neapolitan pizza version of Chipotle. Feel free to pick and choose from their list of suggested pizzas or feel free to build your own. For those with a sweet tooth, they have a couple of dessert calzones as well. Service: 5 There’s a giant brick oven that bakes the pizza in 90 seconds… it usually takes me longer to decide what I want than for them to make it. Food: 4 Due to the heat of the brick oven the crust comes out crispy on the edges and chewy as you get closer to the middle. My personal favorite is their Siciliana which is their version of the meat lovers with spicy italian, prosciutto, and ham. Cheese lovers will probably also enjoy the quattro formaggi(four cheese pizza) and their basic margherita is pretty solid as well. Value: 5 For fresh pizza around $ 10 made right in front of your eyes in 90 seconds, this place is hard to beat.

Wood fire grill oven, all fresh ingredients, home-made tomato sauce, thin pizza with a chewy crust. need I say more? I’m so glad I found this place! Firecrust is definitely better than Pie Five, and it’s even better than Blaze! They have the same line-up concept with self seating. Go check it out! FYI– salame picante is pretty spicy. They have sparkling water, cold water, and room temperature water on tap. The oven reminded me of a pizza place I went to in Amsterdam this summer. BYOB!

Making your own pizza is a fun thing that everyone should try at least once in their life. There were three basic sauces if you decide to go down that route and everything is pretty explanatory from that point. I had the basic margharita sauce with a few veggie toppings. If you check into Unilocal, you get one free meat topping which was nice. Compared to another ‘make-your-own-pizza’ restaurant, this was actually kind of pricey. You might want to reconsider how many toppings you throw on there because they can add up quickly. This other restaurant allowed unlimited toppings so this made me a little disappointed. The pizza was closer to thin-crust and good to eat. It was baked in the oven for 90 seconds which was good for me since I was starving. The margharita sauce was also good and it would be perfect if they offer a stronger tomato-spicy sauce. This restaurant is BYOB for $ 1.50 per person but it was well-worth it. We actually brought over a lot of beers and wine and in the end was much cheaper than if we had bought drinks at an establishment. The service felt a little discombobulated and slow but overall, they were nice. I had a good time here.

So I am on a quest to find the best pizza in Dallas. This was my first visit. After reading the reviews, I had high hopes for this place but was a bit let down. I love the concept. Love all the topping options. I created my own pizza, I had spicy sausage, spinach, fresh mozzarella, oregano, garlic, basil, evoo, sun dried tomatoes, red onion, and crushed red pepper. You’d think this was Flavorful but it was a bit bland, but I don’t understand why? Also, while the crust is crunchy on the outside, which is perfect to me, the middle was soft/soggy. My pizza wouldn’t hold up, all my toppings kept falling off because the crust was limp :(. I ended up having to eat my pizza like the New Yorkers and fold it in half. I’ve never experienced that with pizza. I like this place, so I’m giving it another chance. Next time I’ll ask them to cook it longer to ensure the crust is crispy on the bottom as well. Has anyone else experienced this? Oh! Customer service was awesome!!! They’re getting another star just for that.

I had lunch with several coworkers and this was a great option. While I can’t personally comment on the pizzas because I had a salad. Three of my table guest had custom pizzas and they raved about the crust and toppings. Great atmosphere and style. The staff was very helpful when building the pizzas. I would easily make another trip here. Make sure you give them a try.

Fresh, delicious, Neapolitan style pizza on the cheap? Sign me up! It’s an understatement that I’m in love with Firecrust. In the same spot that was once occupied by Piv Five, there is no comparison between Firecrust and it’s predecessor. While Pie Five wasn’t bad, the pizzas were just small enough to leave me hungry. On the contrary, the generous size of the personal pizzas at Firecrust are the perfect size to satisfy even deep hunger. The staff here is super friendly and excited to have new customers in the door. I absolutely love Neapolitan-style pizza and Firecrust has an in-house 900 F pizza oven to get you your pizza in only 90 seconds! There’s several pre-fab pizzas to suit most tastes but you can essentially customize your own pie to suit your palate. The Salame Picante is my personal favorite with a nice spicy kick to it. The location is right off 75 and parking is super easy, much easier than the nightmare-on-Knox parking next door at Pei Wei. I really hope Firecrust does well as I’m having a hard time staying away from this place. An awesome pizza edition to my own backyard!

I was very impressed. I’m a huge fan of wood-fired Neapolitan Pizza in general, and have tried many authentic pizzerias. While Firecrust may not be the best I’ve had, it is certainly very good and is a unique take on the genre. The first thing I noticed was that the place was huge, and there was almost nobody inside. I’m not sure why– it was 6:50PM on a Friday. The next thing I noticed was that there was an assembly line like you would see at Subway where you choose your toppings and they assemble it in front of you. This was initially off-putting as it seemed to cheapen the whole idea of authentic Neapolitan pizza. However, when I took a closer look at the ingredients my nervousness subsided. They have an excellent selection of cheeses, cured meats, and sauces. They also hand-toss the dough before adding toppings. They have a menu of pre-selected options and you can also just pick your own toppings and go to town. We got a margherita pizza so I could compare it to others I’ve tried, and then I had another pizza with spicy Italian salami. The pizza was placed in a wood-fired oven and, as is typical of Neapolitan pizzas, is cooked very hot and very fast. The results were excellent. The margherita had great sauce and the mozarella cheese was very good. Both pizzas had a great crispy outer crust, and were very thing and slightly chewy in the middle, as they should be. As far as I could tell, the dough is also a fully-seasoned dough, and had a good amount of salt, but it wasn’t overbearing. It wasn’t perfect– the top of the crust was a little too charred in spots for my taste, and while the consistency was good, the dough was a little on the dead side– not quite as springy and airy as I would have liked. Still, coming from a pizza snob, I will definitely be returning.

I have to say, as much as the«create your own pizza» theme popping up all over, this one definitely stands out from the rest. My friend and I ordered the margherita pizza with prosciutto($ 3.00 extra charge). The employee even offered us a sample of the prosciutto(and of course we took it!. who can say no to prosciutto? I didn’t expect much but when I took a bite into my pizza, the sauce blew me away. I know, I know, how good can tomato sauce be right? especially if it was canned. but DAMN! Their tomato sauce is off the chain! The dough and crust was awesome and evenly cooked in their fire-stone oven. If you need anymore seasoning, just sprinkle some grated parmesan, chili flakes, or olive oil they have on their condiments table. There’s a lot of seating here so it’s great for groups and the service is on point.

Great, economical lunch/dinner option with very fast service! What’s not to love? Stand in line, pick your toppings, pay, grab your drink, and BAM! Your pizza is done. As you start adding toppings, the price obviously goes up, so stick to a predefined pie if you want the most bang for your buck. Toppings are reasonably priced though, but watch the prosciutto($ 4, I think). We’ve been several times and haven’t been disappointed yet!

If you pizza, check this place out. They have a Sicily oven which turns out pizzas in last than a few minutes. There’s just enough char on the crust to add complexity and enhance the flavor. Plus it’s a bit chewy which I love. I’m a big fan of their dough and the ingredients were very fresh. There’s plenty of topping choices and they add plenty. Great price point. Ordered a custom pizza w/chicken and a calzone for $ 23ish. Worth visiting or driving too.

The service here is incredible. EVERY employee there is extremely helpful AND friendly. This was my 2nd visit and it mirrored my first visit. The pizza for the price AND service deserves 5*. The atmosphere is casual, nothing fancy, and the price is indicative of a casual, fast food environment. When I say FAST food — like, within 2 minutes FAST. But don’t compare this with Pie Five or Subway, or any other chain fast food joint. These are high quality, FRESH ingredients — just fast casual STYLE. Add this spot to your lunch list people!!! Oh… and for dessert… nutella calzone. you’re welcome.

We had a Groupon and decided to give this place a try. We love thin crust so we were really looking forward to the pizza. The place is very clean and modern. The tables are nicely spaced so you can talk. We went early on a Saturday evening and the place was virtually empty but even if it had been busy I think conversation would be possible. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Since it was our first time, the person behind the counter was very helpful in explaining the process. We got the Siciliana(various meats) and the Proscuitto arugula. We literally placed our order, got our drinks and silverware, sat down and the pizza was delivered, first the Siciliana and then the Proscuitto. They have an oven that looks like the one at Cane Rosso. I really liked the crust a lot. It was crispy and light. Very thin as I love. It was not soggy in the middle like Cane Rosso. The topping were not too heavy, just right. I did not have any complaints about the tomato sauce. The wife thought it was a bit salty but that is because it had three meats on it. I loved this pizza and thought it was very flavorful. I loved the char taste at the end. She loved the Proscuitto with arugula. It did not have tomato sauce, just olive oil and garlic, so it was super crispy. It cracked like a potato chip. She liked the lightness of the pie. We also got a Caesar salad but it was so overdressed that it was virtually inedible. Not very good at all. I am giving this place 4 stars because the salad was not executed properly. But the pizza is excellent. I expect that we will return.

Thank goodness for firewood brick ovens… my early dinner was ready in 90 seconds, even for a crisper pie crust. I would say their dough is more like a traditional pizza rather than a soft and chewy flatbread of Cane Russo of Deep Ellum. Their staff is friendly and very helpful. The restaurant is warm and inviting, but lacks any table service. Which I am fine with as long as a manager or supervisor is walking the floor insuring everything is up to snuff. With my groupon in hand, I ordered a Arugula Prosciutto Pie with extra garlic and seasonings. .as an Italian, is there ever enough? At my table, I dressed my pizza with a couple drizzles of olive oil, red pepper flakes, fresh cracked pepper, and a dash of salt. Nowadays, I was hoping for a gourmet sea salt instead of a highly processed version. Also indulged in a dessert Nutella pie which is chocolatey sinful and served with some humble store bought cool whip… it’s presentation was a bit lack luster. So I did bravely suggest to the owner a bit of mascarpone folded into whipped cream would be a more sophisticated option with some powdered sugar dusted on, perhaps a light splash of cinnamon too. Everyone likes sweet, just not tooth aching over the top mega sugar death. Would highly recommend this reactively new restaurant to pizza fans in the area… come hungry.
